3ERIC EJ1083514: Pre-Service Perspectives On E-Teaching: Assessing E-Teaching Using The EPEC Hierarchy Of Conditions For E-Learning/Teaching Competence

This article reports on the findings of phase two of a larger study, which examines pre-service teacher experiences engaging with a synchronous (live-time) platform as a part of their training. While phase one focused on pre-service experiences "e-learning" with this synchronous platform (Woodcock, Sisco, & Eady, 2015), phase two focuses on their experiences "e-teaching" with the platform. During phase two, fifty-three students who participated in a blended learning (including both face-to-face and online lectures) course were assessed in a teaching simulation through an online presentation, and participated in questionnaires and interviews about their experiences as e-learners using the platform. The EPEC (ease of use, psychologically safe environment, e-learning/e-teaching efficacy, and e-learning competence) hierarchy of conditions for e-learning competency (Woodcock, Sisco, & Eady, 2015), developed during phase one based on an analysis of pre-service teachers' experience as e-learners in this same study, was used as a framework to assess teacher perspectives as e-teachers using this technology. Qualitative interview and survey data were collected about students' experiences using the platform, and analyzed via thematic content analysis. Quantitative survey data were also collected and analyzed via basic statistical analysis. The findings showed that students generally favoured the online e-teaching synchronous platform over in-person presentations, and the quality of online presentations was considered at least as good as in person.

Purpose: To review a broad array of current literature related to pre-service teacher education offered in blended and e-learning formats, with a focus on rural and remote teacher education. Results: The range of literature that we have surveyed is broad. We have consulted peer-reviewed academic journals, books, conference proceedings, government reports, reports from non-profit organizations and online materials. Conclusions: While there is a healthy debate around the credibility of online and blended teacher education programs, they remain a viable option for teacher education candidates who live in rural and remote areas. Recommendations: Engaging policy makers and hiring managers in the development of online and blended teacher education programs may be one way to strengthen such programs.

6ERIC EJ1157949: Assessing The Utilization Level Of E-Learning Resources Among ODL Based Pre-Service Teacher Trainees

Electronic resources have become a dominant feature of higher education, both traditional and distance learning based. Unlike in the past when universities relied majorly on the physical library and hard copy of books, e-books accessible through e-libraries are the dominant features of this century's institutions of higher learning. This study investigated pre-service teacher trainees by distance and the utilization of e-learning resources. A survey research design was used to carry out the study. One hundred and forty-four (144) pre-service teachers by distance from three institutions offering teacher training programmes by distance in South Africa completed the anonymous web based survey designed to gather data which provide answers to the five (5) research questions in the study. The results revealed a high utilization of e-resources to learn but a low utilization of e-resources to teach among the respondents. The study recommends institutional based training on the techniques of accessing and utilizing e-learning resources for pre-service teacher trainees in ODL institutions.

7ERIC EJ1109166: Readiness Of Pre-Service Business Education Teachers For Web-Based E-Learning In Colleges Of Education In North-East Nigeria

This study examined the level of preparedness or readiness for use of e-learning amongst pre-service business education teachers in Colleges of Education in North East Nigeria. One research question and one hypothesis guided this study. This study was a sample survey, in which a 51-item structured questionnaire was used to collect data. The researcher developed questionnaire was validated and pilot tested and the internal consistency using Cronbach alpha was 0.81. The participants were 1,003 final year pre-service business education teachers from five Colleges of Education in five states in North East Nigeria that were selected for the study. A sample of 546 pre-service business education teachers was selected using cluster sampling technique. Data were collected with the help of trained research assistants. Data obtained were analysed using frequency counts and percentages, mean, and t-test statistic. The results indicated that the pre-service business education teachers' perceived level of preparedness or readiness for the use of web based e-learning is low. Based on the findings, it was recommended among others that the pre-service business education teachers should be encouraged to engage in hands-on IT training wherever they are available; and that emphasis of IT training for pre-service business education teachers should be placed on web-based instruction (use of internet and World Wide Web), instructional slides and tutorials (Compact Disk- CD based), and virtual teaching (video conferencing technique).

The growth of distance education course offerings is an indication of its importance to students. The purpose of this study is to investigate learners' satisfaction toward online e-learning implemented in the College of Applied Studies and Community Service, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In the meantime, also, this study was conducted to assess whether substitution of conventional learning with e-learning can improve the educational standard and knowledge of people especially in this information world. The target group consists of 201 university students (female) from the College of Applied Studies and Community Service. The results of the statistical analysis demonstrate that students' satisfaction has been very positive toward e-learning as a teaching assisted tool, and provides more benefits than conventional learning.

Ted Was Born In Indianapolis, IN, And Was Raised By His Grandmother. When He Was 13 He Moved To Manhattan Beach, CA, Where He Lived With His Aunt And Uncle. Having Promised His Aunt He Would Not Enlist Until He Was 19, Ted Attended Oregon State College For One Semester In 1942. On His 19th Birthday Ted Enlisted In The Marine Air Corps But He Failed The Eye Test. He Returned To California To Take Eye Exercises. On March 15, 1943, Ted Entered The Army And Was Assigned To The Army Air Corps. He Became A Pilot And Flew Missions In India And China In Support Of The Flying Tigers Of The 14th Air Force. He Was Awarded Numerous Medals For His Service, Including Two Distinguished Flying Crosses. After The War, Mr. Stevens Completed Degrees At UCLA And Harvard Law School. In 1950 He Joined A Law Firm In Washington, DC, Where He Met His First Wife Ann Cherrington. In 1952 Mr. Stevens Accepted A Position With Combs And Clasby, A Law Firm In Fairbanks. Later, In 1953 He Became U.S. Attorney In Fairbanks. During President Eisenhower's Administration, He Took A Job With The Interior Department In Washington, DC. In That Position, He Worked With Many Other Alaskans To Push For Alaska Statehood And Became The Chief Legal Officer (the Solicitor) Of Interior. In 1961 Ted Returned To Alaska To Practice Law In Anchorage In The New State Of Alaska. He Was Elected To The Alaska House Of Representatives In 1964. In His Second Term, Mr. Stevens Became The House Majority Leader. Mr. Stevens Was Appointed To The U.S. Senate In 1968 By Then-Governor Walter J. Hickel To Fill A Vacancy Created By The Death Of Senator E.L. (Bob) Bartlett. Two Years Later In 1970, Alaskans Chose Senator Stevens To Finish That Term. He Was Re-elected In 1972, 1978, 1984, 1990, 1996, And 2002. During His Service In The Senate, Senator Stevens Was Instrumental In The Passage Of The Legislation Settling Alaska Native Land Claims, The Authorization Of The Trans- Alaska Pipeline, Transfer Of The Alaska Railroad To The State, Creating The Essential Air Service Program And Bypass Mail Service. He Has Worked Tirelessly To Improve Health Care, Communications, And Transportation For Alaskans. Ted Fought To Enact The 200 Mile Limit To Protect Alaska's Fisheries. He Authored The American Fisheries Act To Reduce Foreign Ownership Of Alaska's Fisheries And Created The Community Development Quota Program To Promote Economic Development In Western Alaska. Ted Was A Strong Supporter Of Development Of Alaska's Resources Including Construction Of A Gas Pipeline And Opening The Coastal Plain Of The Arctic National Wildlife Range To Oil And Gas Exploration. Ted was born in Indianapolis, IN, and was raised by his grandmother. When he was 13 he moved to Manhattan Beach, CA, where he lived with his aunt and uncle. Having promised his aunt he would not enlist until he was 19, Ted attended Oregon State College for one semester in 1942. On his 19th birthday Ted enlisted in the Marine Air Corps but he failed the eye test. He returned to California to take eye exercises. On March 15, 1943, Ted entered the Army and was assigned to the Army Air Corps. He became a pilot and flew missions in India and China in support of the Flying Tigers of the 14th Air Force. He was awarded numerous medals for his service, including two Distinguished Flying Crosses. After the war, Mr. Stevens completed degrees at UCLA and Harvard Law School. In 1950 he joined a law firm in Washington, DC, where he met his first wife Ann Cherrington. In 1952 Mr. Stevens accepted a position with Combs and Clasby, a law firm in Fairbanks. Later, in 1953 he became U.S. Attorney in Fairbanks. During President Eisenhower's administration, he took a job with the Interior Department in Washington, DC. In that position, he worked with many other Alaskans to push for Alaska statehood and became the Chief Legal Officer (the Solicitor) of Interior. In 1961 Ted returned to Alaska to practice law in Anchorage in the new State of Alaska. He was elected to the Alaska House of Representatives in 1964. In his second term, Mr. Stevens became the House majority leader. Mr. Stevens was appointed to the U.S. Senate in 1968 by then-Governor Walter J. Hickel to fill a vacancy created by the death of Senator E.L. (Bob) Bartlett. Two years later in 1970, Alaskans chose Senator Stevens to finish that term. He was re-elected in 1972, 1978, 1984, 1990, 1996, and 2002. During his service in the Senate, Senator Stevens was instrumental in the passage of the legislation settling Alaska Native land claims, the authorization of the Trans- Alaska Pipeline, transfer of the Alaska Railroad to the State, creating the essential air service program and bypass mail service. He has worked tirelessly to improve health care, communications, and transportation for Alaskans. Ted fought to enact the 200 mile limit to protect Alaska's fisheries. He authored the American Fisheries Act to reduce foreign ownership of Alaska's fisheries and created the Community Development Quota Program to promote economic development in Western Alaska. Ted was a strong supporter of development of Alaska's resources including construction of a gas pipeline and opening the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Range to oil and gas exploration. He was a national leader on pension reform, women in sports, national security and defense. The Ted Stevens Amateur Sports Act created the U.S. Olympic Committee. The longest serving member of Alaska's congressional delegation, Senator Stevens had more years of service than any other Republican in the U.S. Senate and was the longest serving Senator in the history of the Republican Party. Having served for 4 years as the Senate's President pro tempore, the Presiding Officer in the absence of the Vice President, Senator Stevens also served as the Senate's President pro tempore emeritus; vice chairman of the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation; cochairman of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee; and ranking member of the Disaster Recovery Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Subcommittee. Ted Was Born In Indianapolis, IN, And Was Raised By His Grandmother. When He Was 13 He Moved To Manhattan Beach, CA, Where He Lived With His Aunt And Uncle. Having Promised His Aunt He Would Not Enlist Until He Was 19, Ted Attended Oregon State College For One Semester In 1942. On His 19th Birthday Ted Enlisted In The Marine Air Corps But He Failed The Eye Test. He Returned To California To Take Eye Exercises. On March 15, 1943, Ted Entered The Army And Was Assigned To The Army Air Corps. He Became A Pilot And Flew Missions In India And China In Support Of The Flying Tigers Of The 14th Air Force. He Was Awarded Numerous Medals For His Service, Including Two Distinguished Flying Crosses. After The War, Mr. Stevens Completed Degrees At UCLA And Harvard Law School. In 1950 He Joined A Law Firm In Washington, DC, Where He Met His First Wife Ann Cherrington. In 1952 Mr. Stevens Accepted A Position With Combs And Clasby, A Law Firm In Fairbanks. Later, In 1953 He Became U.S. Attorney In Fairbanks. During President Eisenhower's Administration, He Took A Job With The Interior Department In Washington, DC. In That Position, He Worked With Many Other Alaskans To Push For Alaska Statehood And Became The Chief Legal Officer (the Solicitor) Of Interior. In 1961 Ted Returned To Alaska To Practice Law In Anchorage In The New State Of Alaska. He Was Elected To The Alaska House Of Representatives In 1964. In His Second Term, Mr. Stevens Became The House Majority Leader. Mr. Stevens Was Appointed To The U.S. Senate In 1968 By Then-Governor Walter J. Hickel To Fill A Vacancy Created By The Death Of Senator E.L. (Bob) Bartlett. Two Years Later In 1970, Alaskans Chose Senator Stevens To Finish That Term. Ted Was Born In Indianapolis, IN, And Was Raised By His Grandmother. When He Was 13 He Moved To Manhattan Beach, CA, Where He Lived With His Aunt And Uncle. Having Promised His Aunt He Would Not Enlist Until He Was 19, Ted Attended Oregon State College For One Semester In 1942. On His 19th Birthday Ted Enlisted In The Marine Air Corps But He Failed The Eye Test. He Returned To California To Take Eye Exercises. On March 15, 1943, Ted Entered The Army And Was Assigned To The Army Air Corps. He Became A Pilot And Flew Missions In India And China In Support Of The Flying Tigers Of The 14th Air Force. He Was Awarded Numerous Medals For His Service, Including Two Distinguished Flying Crosses. After The War, Mr. Stevens Completed Degrees At UCLA And Harvard Law School. In 1950 He Joined A Law Firm In Washington, DC, Where He Met His First Wife Ann Cherrington. In 1952 Mr. Stevens Accepted A Position With Combs And Clasby, A Law Firm In Fairbanks. Later, In 1953 He Became U.S. Attorney In Fairbanks. During President Eisenhower's Administration, He Took A Job With The Interior Department In Washington, DC. In That Position, He Worked With Many Other Alaskans To Push For Alaska Statehood And Became The Chief Legal Officer (the Solicitor) Of Interior. In 1961 Ted Returned To Alaska To Practice Law In Anchorage In The New State Of Alaska. He Was Elected To The Alaska House Of Representatives In 1964. In His Second Term, Mr. Stevens Became The House Majority Leader. Mr. Stevens Was Appointed To The U.S. Senate In 1968 By Then-Governor Walter J. Ted Was Born In Indianapolis, IN, And Was Raised By His Grandmother. When He Was 13 He Moved To Manhattan Beach, CA, Where He Lived With His Aunt And Uncle. Having Promised His Aunt He Would Not Enlist Until He Was 19, Ted Attended Oregon State College For One Semester In 1942. On His 19th Birthday Ted Enlisted In The Marine Air Corps But He Failed The Eye Test. He Returned To California To Take Eye Exercises. On March 15, 1943, Ted Entered The Army And Was Assigned To The Army Air Corps. He Became A Pilot And Flew Missions In India And China In Support Of The Flying Tigers Of The 14th Air Force. He Was Awarded Numerous Medals For His Service, Including Two Distinguished Flying Crosses. After The War, Mr. Stevens Completed Degrees At UCLA And Harvard Law School. In 1950 He Joined A Law Firm In Washington, DC, Where He Met His First Wife Ann Cherrington. In 1952 Mr. Stevens Accepted A Position With Combs And Clasby, A Law Firm In Fairbanks. Later, In 1953 He Became U.S. Attorney In Fairbanks. During President Eisenhower's Administration, He Took A Job With The Interior Department In Washington, DC. In That Position, He Worked With Many Other Alaskans To Push For Alaska Statehood And Became The Chief Legal Officer (the Solicitor) Of Interior. In 1961 Ted Returned To Alaska To Practice Law In Anchorage In The New State Of Alaska. He Was Elected To The Alaska House Of Representatives In 1964. In His Second Term, Mr. Stevens Became The House Majority Leader. Mr. Stevens Was Appointed To The U.S. Senate In 1968 By Then-Governor Walter J. Hickel To Fill A Vacancy Created By The Death Of Senator E.L. (Bob) Bartlett. Two Years Later In 1970, Alaskans Chose Senator Stevens To Finish That Term. He Was Re-elected In 1972, 1978, 1984, 1990, 1996, And 2002. During His Service In The Senate, Senator Stevens Was Instrumental In The Passage Of The Legislation Settling Alaska Native Land Claims, The Authorization Of The Trans- Alaska Pipeline, Transfer Of The Alaska Railroad To The State, Creating The Essential Air Service Program And Bypass Mail Service. He Has Worked Tirelessly To Improve Health Care, Communications, And Transportation For Alaskans. Ted Fought To Enact The 200 Mile Limit To Protect Alaska's Fisheries. He Authored The American Fisheries Act To Reduce Foreign Ownership Of Alaska's Fisheries And Created The Community Development Quota Program To Promote Economic Development In Western Alaska. Ted Was A Strong Supporter Of Development Of Alaska's Resources Including Construction Of A Gas Pipeline And Opening The Coastal Plain Of The Arctic National Wildlife Range To Oil And Gas Exploration. He Was A National Leader On Pension Reform, Women In Sports, National Security And Defense. The Ted Stevens Amateur Sports Act Created The U.S. Olympic Committee. The Longest Serving Member Of Alaska's Congressional Delegation, Senator Stevens Had More Years Of Service Than Any Other Republican In The U.S. Senate And Was The Longest Serving Senator In The History Of The Republican Party. Having Served For 4 Years As The Senate's President Pro Tempore, The Presiding Officer In The Absence Of The Vice President, Senator Stevens Also Served As The Senate's President Pro Tempore Emeritus; Vice Chairman Of The Committee On Commerce, Science, And Transportation; Cochairman Of The Defense Appropriations Subcommittee; And Ranking Member Of The Disaster Recovery Homeland Security And Governmental Affairs Subcommittee. 10E-learning Course Or E-lecture? - Effects Of Self-regulated Principles On Pre-service Teachers’ Knowledge And Attitudes

Professional development programs substantially contribute to advancing evidence-based reforms in educational contexts. Due to the Corona pandemic and digitalization efforts, online formats are increasingly coming into focus as an alternative form of teachers’ professional development. However, there are many open questions concerning instructional features which improve teacher knowledge and foster favorable attitudes towards the content in online trainings. This study therefore investigates the extent to which aspects of self-regulation of e-learning influence the acquisition of knowledge and the development of positive attitudes toward the subject matter. In this study, a treatment group (online training with self-regulative elements) will participate in an e-learning course, while a control group (online training without self-regulative elements) will watch an e-lecture. To that end, this study addresses the following research questions: 1. How do aspects of self-regulative learning (self-paced learning, individual feedback) influence teachers’ declarative and procedural knowledge and their attitudes towards the content? 2. How are these effects moderated by learners’ individual conditions (prior knowledge, self-efficacy, individual learning preferences)?

Nebulous combinations of face-to-face and online learning are increasingly common across Australian higher education contexts. This paper reports on part of a redesign project of an undergraduate education subject at a regional university. The aim of the redesign was to enhance e-learning and blended learning environments. An approach that maps the evaluation research activities to the design and development cycle of e-learning tools and learning tasks was adopted (Phillips et al., 2012). The research took a participatory format involving ongoing reflective exchange with pre-service teachers with the aim of transforming practice. The article presents the context of e-learning, blended learning and drivers of curriculum renewal in teacher education at a regional institution and discusses the phases of the redesign project which adopted an action research approach. Finally the paper discusses the implications of the redesign for informing future practice and in approaching e-learning and blended learning curriculum design.

Owing to advancements in both information and communication technologies and especially in the internet infrastructure, globalization has shifted to the next dimension; and these developments in technology has expressed its significance in online education like other domains of life. Utilization from new technologies has significantly minimized limitation brought by space and time in online learning progressively. Now, individuals are able to take classes from any institutions across the word. Accordingly, this situation has motivated majority of education institutions around the world to look for ways to maintain their courses or various education programs in e-learning environment more effectively. Along this process, studies on significant factors on application of technology have intensified. One of these key factors is considered as personal characteristic. When it comes to utilization of technology, individual innovativeness concept gains prominence based on personal behaviors relevant with innovativeness. Attitudes of pre-service teacher towards e-learning are influent on numbers of variable relevant with e-course. Thus, the purpose of the present study is to reveal the changes in attitudes of pre-service teachers who take online classes towards online learning with respect to their individual innovativeness levels. Study data was collected from students who take online classes through distance education system in a bachelor degree program at faculty of education at a public university. On the basis of collected data, it was revealed that pre-service teachers' attitude towards e-learning differs significantly according to respondents' levels of individual innovativeness.

This article discusses the importance of measuring how students perceive quality of service in online higher education. The article also reviews the existing literature on measuring users' perceptions about quality in e-services. Even when there are a lot of articles on this matter, none of them focuses on e-learning services, so this paper tries to fill that gap. The article proposes using the Critical Incident Technique to perform a qualitative analysis, which contributes to identify the main dimensions and categories that contribute to students' perception of service quality. A case study, regarding a completely online university, is presented and the proposed model is used to obtain some preliminary research results. Among these, key quality dimensions from a student point of view are identified. Some of these dimensions are: learning process, administrative processes, teaching materials and resources, etc. After discussing the research results, a list of recommendations for university managers is formulated. We believe that both the proposed methodology and the case-study recommendations can be of potential interest for managers of several universities offering online higher-education worldwide. E-learning is a general term used to refer to computer-enhanced learning based that facilitates whoever, wherever, and whenever the person is to be able to learn more fun, easier and cheaper by using Internet. In other words, E-learning is the use of network technologies to create, foster, deliver, and facilitate learning, anytime and anywhere. It also means a learning facility that uses electronic devices such as LAN, WAN, or Internet to give lectures, to interact, or to guide and monitor the students. E-learning is naturally suited to distance learning and flexible learning. This learning is an asynchronous or self-directed; self-paced activity that is used in order for the students to obtain learning materials by using electronic computer devices that are designed to help the students to get learning materials needed. Asynchronous consists of learning that is stand-alone. Asynchronous eLearning can be delivered through the web, via an Intranet, or by way of an extranet. The Curriculum and Education Technology Department of Indonesia University of Education is now trying to design and to use this E-learning as a supplement in MKDP curriculum and learning subjects. The department has been trying to develop the research on E-learning by using research method and development. The instrument used comprises questionnaires meanwhile the data analysis used are descriptive data analysis. Based on the result of the research, it shows that e-learning program is able to assist the lecturers of MKDP curriculum and learning subjects to improve their ability in designing and developing learning design based on electronic devices by using models and program software. This paper addresses the need for quality e-Learning experiences. We used the Demand-Driven Learning Model (MacDonald, Stodel, Farres, Breithaupt, and Gabriel, 2001) to evaluate an online Masters in Education course. Multiple data collection methods were used to understand the experiences of stakeholders in this case study: the learners, design team, and facilitators. We found that all five dimensions of the model (structure, content, delivery, service, and outcomes) must work in concert to implement a quality e-Learning course. Key themes include evolving learner needs, the search for connection, becoming an able e-participant, valued interactions, social construction of content, integration of delivery partners, and mindful weighing of benefits and trade-offs. By sharing insights into what is needed to design and deliver an e-Learning experience, our findings add to the growing knowledge of online learning. Using this model to evaluate perceptions of quality by key stakeholders has led to insights and recommendations on the Demand Driven Learning Model itself which may be useful for researchers in this area and strengthen the model. Quality has been defined in terms of the design of the e-Learning experience, the contextualized experience of learners, and evidence of learning outcomes (Carr and Carr, 2000; Jung 2000; Salmon, 2000). Quality and design of e-Learning courses, however, are sometimes compromised in an "...effort to simply get something up and running" in response to pressing consumer demands (Dick, 1996, p. 59). Educators and researchers have voiced concern over the lack of rigorous evaluation studies of e-Learning programs (e.g., Arbaugh, 2000; Howell, Saba, Lindsay, and Williams, 2004; Lockyer, Patterson, and Harper, 1999; Robinson, 2001). McGorry (2003) adds, "although the number of courses being delivered via the Internet is increasing rapidly, our knowledge of what makes these courses effective learning experiences is limited" (p. 160). In an economic environment marked by intensive competition between educational institutions, producing and ensuring quality e-Learning programs will be a competitive advantage to attract learners to post secondary institutions (Daniel, 1996; Duderstadt, 1999). In this study we used a credible model, the Demand-Driven Learning Model (DDLM), (MacDonald, Stodel, Farres, Breithaupt, and Gabriel, 2001) and its companion evaluation tool (MacDonald, Breithaupt, Stodel, Farres, and Gabriel, 2002) to design and evaluate an online course. Several data collection methods were used to understand the experiences of key stakeholders in this case study: learners, design team, and facilitators. In addition to adding to the growing knowledge of online learning, our findings highlight additional elements that could be incorporated into the DDLM to further refine the model. 19Interaction Triangle Of Mobile Learning & E-Learning And Computer Tools (CUAELML) In The Basic Class: Attitudes & Opinions Of Pre-Service Teachers
Computers, m-learning and e-learning which are the most significant tools of information age, have increasingly been used in each stage of education system. The participants were two hundreds and fifteen (215) pre-service teachers who have participated in this study. Specific influences between m-learning, e-learning and computer tools are presented. The implications for CUAELML and suggestions for pre-service teachers’ opinions and attitudes are discussed. According to analysis results, the attitude of the pre-service teachers regarding e-learning has the higher positive effect on m-learning rather than computer usage. A model, which explained the effect of AEL, ML and CU on learning, was established and tested. Using AMOS 18 (Analysis of Moment Structures) program, it explained 50% of CU TOOLS, 64% of ML TECHNOLOGY and 67% of AEL, with good model fit.

Through an extensive literature review, this article identifies four emerging types of e-service-learning endeavors and presents best practices. Armed with these best practices, we call on our colleagues to increasingly integrate e-service-learning into their online courses and to study the outcomes of such efforts to ensure the relevance of service-learning in the 21st century. 21ERIC EJ932142: Pre-Service Teachers' Views: How Did E-Feedback Through Assessment Facilitate Their Learning?

This survey study was intended to explore whether or not students supported the way a university course instructor provided timely and detailed e-feedback directly onto their online assignments and how the e-feedback facilitated their learning. Twenty pre-service teachers, who had experienced the process, participated in the study. The data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively to answer the research questions. The findings indicate that the majority of students favored the instructor's provision of e-feedback. From their perspectives, the feedback was helpful, immediate, and convenient, allowing them to know whether they were "on the right track", encouraged them to think, enhanced their learning through reflections and corrections, and promoted their time management and writing skills. Implications of the study and suggestions for further research are provided at the conclusion of this report. (Contains 5 tables.)

This research is focused on dimensions of mathematical thinking among preservice teachers learning through the use of e-Portfolios. The data came from portfolios created and reconstructed by future mathematics teachers. Their process of reviewing and republishing pages through the Internet was constantly saved and reviewed in turn by the researchers. Seven case studies were conducted. Results stress the importance of the use of ICT by pre-service teachers as an interface to become more reflective about their learning and to improve their knowledge. Besides being a tool to recognize different dimensions (technological, conceptual and communicative) the e-Portfolios were a powerful resource for creating, publicizing ideas, and learning mathematics in different ways. The article also presents some methodological issues. (Contains 4 figures, 3 tables, 4 footnotes, and 1 picture.)

Information technologies and the arrival of e-learning applications in numerous organisations have made an elementary difference to the way organisations convey training and development comfortable, activities and knowledge to their employees. Such organisations have developed come up to e-learning and proficiency development that overcome the logistical effort of conventional training by making innovative use of e-learning. This research paper attempt to find out that E-learning as a tool for corporate training in service sector. The employees from the service sector were conveniently selected in order to evaluate E-Learning as a tool for corporate training. The primary data source is the questionnaire that was distributed to the employees of service sector. Data were then analysed using SPSS. Findings conformed that age, qualification, designation of employees were taken to influence on the basis of employees perception on E-learning as a tool for corporate training in service sector. 27Implementing Quality Function Deployment Using Service Quality And Kano Model To The Quality Of E-learning

E-learning has become an important aspect of university education. System evaluation must be carried out by higher education management to identify the number of e-learning successes and future improvement efforts. Three research methodologies were used in this study to measure, classify, and translate service quality into an improvement process, namely SERVQUAL, Kano model, and quality functional deployment (QFD). A survey involving 219 UPN “Veteran” Jakarta students as e-learning users were done to examine the developed methodology. The partial least square (PLS) method was used to process the data. This study employed the quantitative method. Website content, assurance, empathy, responsiveness, tangibles, reliability, and learning content are variables in this approach. This study provided knowledge on identifying and analyzing the quality of e-learning services using the service quality (SERVQUAL) method by calculating the score gap between the perceived service quality assessment (performance) and the expected service quality using website content, assurance, empathy research variables, responsiveness, tangibles, reliability, learning content, e-learning quality, satisfaction, and behavioral intention. This study also evaluates what improvements can be made to improve the quality of e-learning services.
