Virtual reality (VR) typically refers to computer technologies that use software to generate the realistic images, sounds and other sensations that replicate a real environment, and simulate a user's physical presence in this environment. VR can be defined as a realistic and immersive simulation of a three-dimensional environment, created using interactive software and hardware, and experienced or controlled by movement of the body or as an immersive, interactive experience generated by a computer. Virtual reality will arguably be the future of gaming and that is a concern for some people. cal. Technology can play a significant role to enable information sharing between the various participants during CHEs. This thesis documents the development of a proof of concept that supports this. Current reports and user feedback were analyzed to determine requirements for a field-based system that could enhance the flow of information. The developmental process is presented including, requirements generation, group structure and information sharing, collaborative environments and the advantages of the virtual space. Based on a fictional relief operation, a web application was constructed and designated the Relief Operations Coordination Center (ROCC). Built on COTS technology and combined with commercially available collaboration tools, this application showcases the various uses of today's technology and how it can be used to facilitate information sharing during CHEs.

This is especially true for deaf learners, who have difficulty learning with the traditional pedagogies used in teaching. Results of studies have indicated that students using the suggested new technologies become more interested and actively engaged in their classes, and have a higher level of retention than students in traditional online and onsite classes. Diverse modalities used in acquiring information have the potential to expand visual creativity and visual intelligence (Smith, 2006). It is important to empower students to become active, involved learners, and provide them with the tools and incentives to achieve academic success.

Teachers can help their students to integrate concepts from various disciplines and to develop an appreciation for the complexities of the environment through creative instructional strategies and imaginative uses of educational media. This involves teaching from an environmental perspective. This paper introduces an instructional model that uses media as a foundation for creating and implementing strategies that both teach and reinforce concepts from an integrated environmental perspective. A curriculum integration matrix (CIM) is used to help teachers link ideas from two or more subject areas. Steps in the instructional process include: (1) identifying the main subject topic, lesson subtopics, target concepts, and available teaching time; (2) describing the lesson content; (3) choosing additional integration topics using the subject table; (4) focusing on the integrated topic; (5) deciding on presentation method and instructional media; (6) describing or sketching the integrated media; and (7) completing the matrix by summarizing the process and rewriting the fully integrated lesson. This paper presents a GPS tracking system for an ultrasonic blind stick. People with visual impairments have historically used sticks to detect obstructions in their path. But the person using this stick has to deal with a number of issues because it is inefficient in a number of ways. Giving visually challenged people a better navigational aid is the aim of this initiative. Thanks to the use of sensors, object recognition is made easier with the ultrasonic blind walking stick than with the regular walking stick. The data on his present location is provided by his GPS system.In the event that the blind person loses track of where they put their stick, the system has an additional sophisticated tool to assist them. Blind Stick the ultrasonic blind stick with GPS tracking device is described in the paper’s abstract. Historically, those who are blind or visually challenged have utilized a stick to detect obstructions in their path. However, there are a number of inefficiencies with this stick, and the user must deal with a number of issues. Hospitals as health service providers need to study the equipment used in health services, which is called a Health Technology Assessment. This research aims to determine the assessment of electronic medical record information technology using the Health Technology Assessment concept at regional General Hospital X Jepara. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive design. The research was conducted at the regional general hospital X Jepara which was carried out from March to June 2023. There were 13 informants in this research with 9 main informants and 3 triangulation informants. Data collection techniques use in-depth interviews, observation, and document study. Data analysis for this research is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this research on the concept of effectiveness can increase productivity, be more efficient, make it very easy to publish patient medical records in summary and detail, and doctors and nurses can easily access patient data by logging in using their password. Patient privacy is also maintained with limited access to open it. Service is fast and can increase satisfaction and improve hospital services from an economic perspective using health technology assessment methods. The characteristic aspect of using electronic medical records is that it makes hospital services easier. The security aspect of patient data is guaranteed because system access can only be accessed by users with an account, and the rights of each user are guaranteed. The management of the regional general hospital will easily use electronic medical records and improve the service and quality of Regional General Hospital X Jepara.

Adaptive Online Learning was one of the solutions of Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to have continuous education during pandemic. Innovative technological platform such as Learning Management System (LMS) served as a ground for compiling student requirements submission vital for identifying how well a student meets the standard course requirements. With the aid of predictive analytics included in LMS student can easily monitored their grades and submission, having a positive sign of inclusion to graduation on given time frame. While LMS was highly accepted in the Philippine Educational System, factors to consider in developing student academic performance with prediction was left unexplored. Thus, this study aimed to determine the software factors (trust, context, compatibility, security, complexity) and access method (devices used to access LMS, internet speed) significance to students’ attitude towards using the system through modified TAM among college students at higher educational institutions. The results showed that performance usefulness was influence by perceived ease of use while behavioral intention to use also show significant influence to attitude towards using the system.

This shows how difficult it may be to provide consistent and safe data replication in a distributed system, an issue blockchain technology may overcome. We need a solid prediction model that improves results. This article describes an innovative way to overcome the limitations of third-party transactions using Bitcoin. In this article, convolutional neural networks-long short term memory (CNN-LSTM) deep learning forecasting models are introduced. Convolutional layers help extract relevant data from instances. It has an long short-term memory (LSTM) layer, which lets it find long-and short term dependencies. The experiment's goal was to test the multivariate statistical model we suggested and compare its performance to wellestablished models. The addition of convolutional layers to a forecasting model may improve its accuracy, according to an experiment. The research shows that this strategy has a better chance of success and is more trustworthy than others.

This is very easy to access. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of a low cost but yet flexible, feasible and secure virtual reality based home automation system. In our proposed system we will try to control light, motor and 230v supply. This work also demonstrates the use of virtual reality in the context of the appliance control. The user commands are captured by the camera and transmitted through wireless communication to the receiver end. Even though the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technologies have been significantly addressed in managerial literature, few studies investigated the topic in context of Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H). This study explores the ERP technologies adoption using a Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Accordingly, effects of Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Usefulness on Behavioral Intention and Actual Use of ERP technologies in B&H will be investigated. Valid and reliable structured survey has been prepared and delivered to companies in B&H which are using ERP technologies. Based on the recent literature, first order structural equation model has been proposed and tested. In total, 82 questionnaire responses have been collected from companies in B&H which are using ERP technologies. Factory data analysis has been performed to purify scales through items’ loadings and Cronbach’s Alpha values. The scales were also tested for Convergent validity through partial least-square path modelling using Smart PLS 3 software. Results indicated that effects of Perceived Ease of Use on Behavioral Intention and Perceived Usefulness are significant and positive. Business Innovativeness has significant effects on Actual ERP System Use while Perceived Usefulness does not appear to be predictor of Behavioral Intention.

Eye scans and facial recognition technology 's being used at U.S. border checkpoints for the first time. Federal authorities just announced it today, but it's been used for a week already. Before now, authorities rarely checked foreigners who left the country and walked into Mexico or Canada at ports of entry. They hope that by checking people who're leaving the states they find those who may have stayed longer than their visas allowed.

This work investigates the problems of extending the sensors network lifetime in smart cities. The limited capacity of the sensors’ batteries, and the difficulty of replacing the sensors’ batteries in hard-to-reach areas are some of the main challenges that contribute in reducing the lifetimes of the networks. The direction of this study is to use renewable energy as an energy source for collecting data from various infrastructures that are distributed throughout these cities. We present a model for data collection based on combining energy harvesting (EH) with the cluster head rotation feature, which results in flexible and sustainable networks that can be used in smart cities. Simulation results depict the performance of the proposed model with and without EH technology. The metrics used to compare the performance of the proposed model with and without EH technology include the consumed energy by sensors, number of live and dead sensors, and energy variance. The results show that the network lifetime increases when EH technology is used.

The use of systems architecture, following a set of integrated descriptions from an architecture framework, has been well codified in Department of Defense acquisition and systems engineering. However, in the Space Science and Technology (S&T) community, this guidance and practice is not commonly adopted. This paper outlines an approach to leverage the changes made in DoD Architecture Framework 2.0 (DoDAF2.0), and the renewed emphasis on data and support to acquisition decision analysis. After decomposing the Space S&T design lifecycle into phases, design milestones and activities using process models, a set of DoDAF prescribed and Fit-for-Purpose views are constructed into a reference implementation of a system architecture. This approach attempts to make DoDAF2.0 more relevant and integrated with S&T missions and the decisions that are encountered.

This ineffectiveness frequently leads to unintended consequences, as well as a technological gap between police departments and the criminal elements. This thesis examines how counterfactual analysis might assist law enforcement organizations to successfully implement emerging technologies into society. A counterfactual thought experiment was conducted using a historical event in which the applicability of an emerging technology (or antecedent) was analyzed. The antecedent for this scenario was Augmented Reality technology, in the possession of law enforcement personnel during the Boston Marathon Bombing that occurred on April 15, 2013. This thesis found that counterfactual analyses could allow agencies to assess the value of emerging technologies by considering their hypothetical use in past incidents and determining applicability in the future. Adopting this process might assist law enforcement in becoming more efficient in acquiring and implementing new technologies into its communities.

The historical works of Tacitus are a history of the period from A.D. 14 to 96 in thirty volumes. Although many of the works were lost (only books 1-5 of the Histories and 1-6 and 11-16 of the Annals survive), enough remains to provide a good sense of Tacitus’s political and moral philosophy.<br /><br />He recognized the necessity for strong rulers but argued that more should be done to manage the succession of power and allow for the ascension of talent. Tacitus asserted that it was the dynastic ambitions of Rome’s many emperors that caused the decline of moral and political life and precluded the possibility of recruiting leaders of real ability. Moreover, the dynastic temptation caused political instability because military force was now required for political change. His works point to the necessity of systematic institutional restraints on power for the preservation of liberty.<br /><br />Gordon’s translation and his lengthy Discourses on Tacitus bring Tacitus’ ideas up to date and apply them to the British state of the early 18th century. Written, as they were, at odd times and leisure moments of a stirring and adventurous life, it is not to be wondered at if they are unequal or unfinished. The astonishment of those who knew the man, and can gauge the capacity of this city [Melbourne] to foster poetic instinct, is that such work was ever produced here at all. Intensely nervous, and feeling much of that shame at the exercise of the higher intelligence which besets those who are known to be renowned in field sports, Gordon produced his poems shyly, scribbled them on scraps of paper, and sent them anonymously to magazines. It was not until he discovered one morning that everybody knew a couplet or two of "How we Beat the Favourite" that he consented to forego his anonymity and appear in the unsuspected character of a versemaker. Born in London's poverty-stricken and heavily Jewish East End, the Lipcott boys create their own successes in life and love. The brothers' commitment to improving the lives of working class people leads them to concoct The Scheme to help both the residents of their former neighbourhood and the Jewish people as a whole. The author stresses the responsibility of middle class Jews toward the Jewish poor. Consequently, this 1900 story has its preachy moments as well as some essentialised speculations about Jewish history and character. But the book isn't all earnestness - there are character studies, love interests, and some great comic scenes, too! The son of a Russian rabbi, Samuel Gordon (1871-1927) was born in Germany and came to England at the age of 13. Like Phil Lipcott, his protagonist in this novel, Gordon attended Cambridge University. The club envisioned by The Scheme seems modeled after London's Jewish Working Men's Institute. This was one of several East End organisations (e.g., the Jewish Girls Club, the Brady Boys Club) established by Jewish philanthropists around the turn of the 19th century to "instill in the rising generation all that is best in the English character..." The title of the poem is derived from its story of a woman who obtains a divorce document from her husband, who had deserted her. However, a rabbi invalidates the divorce document because of a missing letter (a yodh) in the husband’s name. Judah Leib Gordon was born to well-to-do Jewish parents who owned a hotel in Vilnius, Lithuania. He took a leading part in the modern revival of the Hebrew language and culture. His satires did much to rouse the Russian Jews to a new sense of the reality of life, and Gordon was the apostle of enlightenment in the Ghettos. His Hebrew style is classical and pure. Much of his poetry revolves around biblical and historical themes. His works were intended to disseminate Enlightenment values and had a profound impact on Jewish life. Many feel his romantic works lack the same militancy as his poetic works, though his advocacy resurfaces in his realistic novels. <i>Two Days and One Night in a Hotel</i>, first published in 1868, is set in a shtetl (a small Jewish village in Eastern Europe), where life was full of contradictions.
