Call Me Alice is a very creative music project and lately has been compared to acts like Evanescence, and No Doubt. Solid, grounded rock music meets the dangerously passionate and frighteningly theatrical would be a dead on description of Call Me Alice. Call Me Alice is definitely a new sound and perceptual experience. The music is ultra modern, melodic, hook-oriented and, above all else, it rocks. The 5ive member clan combines a strong diversity of musical styles and harmonic approach to the lyrics. Erik Beyer from Onlinerock.com says, This band delivers a powerful sound, ahead of their time...a good mixture of guitar and electronica used well..., while Mary Montgomery of the San Diego Reader writes, Crosby is captivating she possesses all the seductiveness of Shirley Manson's vocal range, while maintaining the playfulness of Gwen Stefani's delivery. Also propelling Call Me Alice to new levels is the advent of their stage performance with an integrated light show and their website where the band members are characters in a Universal story which is constantly unfolding. Previous releases include an eight song EP entitled Sweet New Disease in 2002 and a four song demo in 2000. Call Me Alice became a top 50 qualifier in the 2003 3rd Annual CMJ American Music Awards competition for their Sweet New Disease EP. I printed the vial with a 0.8mm nozzle at 0.36mm layer height, with Solutech's Natural Clear PLA filament in vase mode, printed the cork with a 0.4mm nozzle at a 0.2mm layer height with wood filament, and printed the tag at a 0.16mm layer height with white PLA filament, and painted the text. Also added some wire for the tag to hang from. Then filled the vial with water and a drop of blue food coloring. Enjoy!

The story opens with Ishmael, his family, Ellen and Abiram slowly making their way across the virgin prairies of the Midwest looking for a homestead, just two years after the Louisiana Purchase, and during the time of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. They meet the trapper (Natty Bumppo), who has left his home in New York state to find a place where he cannot hear the sound of people cutting down the forests. In the years between his other adventures and this novel, he tells us only that he has walked all the way to the Pacific Ocean and seen all the land between the coasts (a heroic feat, considering Lewis and Clark hadn’t yet completed the same trek).
