The inability of teachers to timely cover the scheme of work, students' truancy and persistent lateness to school, poor attitude towards teaching and learning, activities of cultism and frequent conflicts among secondary school students in Enugu State prompted this study to determine the administrators' managerial competencies for sustainable human resource management in secondary education in Enugu State. Two specific purposes were formulated and two research questions guided the study. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. The study population comprised all the 291 secondary school principals in Enugu State. Simple random sampling technique was used to sample 146 principals for the study. The instrument used for data collection was a 19 items researchers' developed instrument titled; "Administrators' Managerial Competencies for Sustainable Human Resource Management Questionnaire" (AMCSHRMQ). The face validation of the instrument was established by three experts, two from the Department of Educational Management and Policy and one from the Department of Educational Foundations (Measurement and Evaluation Unit), Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. The Cronbach alpha was used to determine the reliability of the instrument. Coefficient value of 0.71 was obtained. Data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation. Findings of the study revealed among others that secondary school administrators lack managerial competencies for students' human resource management by not providing counseling services to students regarding their learning process, providing incentives for students to increase their motivation to learn among others. Based on the finding, it was recommended among others that student human resource management should be incorporated and emphasized in the training guide for educational administrators in order to make them develop more suitable students centered policies in their various schools. Conclusion was drawn based on the findings.

Confidence in the perceived understanding of a study programme is an important predictor of whether prospective students take the next step. Yet little is known about how university webpages, which are often the first place this understanding is formed, shape that confidence in potential candidates. This study investigates how accessible design (based on WCAG 2.1 guidelines), the level of content elaboration, and the content’s task relevance influence prospective students’ comprehension and confidence when browsing a university programme webpage. The aim is to provide universities with evidence-based principles for presenting programme information in ways that support prospective students’ evaluation processes, rather than prescribing a single fixed format. By improving how programme information is structured and presented, the study ultimately seeks to lower entry barriers for adult learners and foster broader participation in lifelong learning.

The primary purpose of this modified Delphi process is to derive a set of fundamental considerations for the design and implementation of placebo control interventions, applicable to clinical trials of physical, psychological, and self-management therapies for pain. Establishing a solid standards-and-assessment system is only the first step toward the ultimate goal of bringing all students to the standards. But without this first step, all others will fall short. The paper explains the essential role of standards and assessments in improving student achievement and offers solutions to challenges districts face in putting standards, and assessments aligned to them, in place. Standards and assessment are central to all eight designs sponsored by New American Schools (NAS). These designs are aimed at significantly enhancing student learning. Standards and assessments define learning and how educators, parents, and members of the public know whether students have mastered what they need to learn. The paper describes resources the NAS Design Teams offer to help schools implement a standards-based system, and it provides guidance on key challenges districts face as they put such systems in place. The premise of this policy paper is that two educational movements, the charter school movement and the development and dissemination of a variety of comprehensive school designs, have an unprecedented opportunity to work together to improve U.S. public education. This paper, focusing on challenges facing comprehensive school design organizations, uses dozens of interviews with representatives of school design groups, charter school leaders, and charter school resource centers to analyze the challenges in forging more links between charter schools and school design organizations. The primary challenges facing comprehensive school design groups working with charter schools are marketing, start-up problems, and the challenges posed by the relatively small scale of the individual charter school. Overarching strategies to address the problems of partnerships between comprehensive school design groups and charter schools include early contact with charter schools, the identification of markets for charter schools, and the identification of ways to capitalize on the respective strengths of the schools and the design groups. To address marketing challenges specifically, design groups should focus on outreach partnerships and marketing. To address the challenges of start-up, design groups should develop or identify low-cost tools to help them find promising candidates for collaboration, and they should explore creative funding options. Challenges related to the small scale of charter schools can be approached through clustering of schools using particular designs, shifting the balance of assistance by lowering the intensity of the intervention, and exploring ways to subsidize assistance to some charter schools in exchange for their willingness to be "lighthouses" or laboratories for designs.
