1Design, Analysis & Performance Check Of A Multi-Story (G+23) RCC Building By Pushover Analysis Using Sap 2000

By

— Pushover analysis is one of the most-used nonlinear static procedures for the seismic assessment of structures, due to its simplicity, efficiency in modeling and low computational time. The previous studies about pushover analysis are almost based on symmetric building structures and unidirectional earthquake excitation. This analysis is conducted to evaluate the seismic capacities of a asymmetric-plan building. The seismic response of RC building frame in terms of performance point and the effect of earthquake forces on multi storey building frame with the help of pushover analysis is carried out in this paper. In the present study the building frame is designed as per IS 456:2000 and IS 1893:2002. The main objective of this study is to check the kind of performance a building can give when designed as per Indian Standards. The pushover analysis of the building frame is carried out by using structural analysis and design software SAP 2000 (version 14).

2Analysis Of Parabolic Shell By Different Models Using Software SAP 2000

By

The shell structure consists of a thin reinforced concrete shell without the use of internal columns to create an internal opening., parabolic or spherical cross section. On the other hand, warehouses and playgrounds are conventional concrete frame structures, on the other hand, they can be difficult to design as the exact shape required for the stability of the structure depends on the material used, the dimensions of the enclosure, external or internal loads and other chamfers.. .. Thus, by changing the shell parameter, the performance of the shell will also change. The main goal of this work is to parametrically analyze different designs of cylindrical shells of different lengths in order to analyze two different lengths of taken cylindrical shells, and then change two parameters, first the radius and then the thickness, based on the radii. and the difference in thickness for the same width, length and material of the frame, we will evaluate the behavior of the frame for different models. 6Transarterial Embolization (TAE) Of Sacral Giant Cell Tumor (GCT) Using Spherical Parmanent Embolic Material Superabsorbant Polymer Microsphere (SAP-MS).

By

This article is from SpringerPlus , volume 2 . Abstract Purpose: We retrospectively evaluated our experience of transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) of the sacral GCT with use of a spherical permanent embolic agent, superabsorbant polymer microsphere (SAP-MS) as an alternative treatment modality. Materials and methods: From 1997 to 2011, four patients with sacral GCT were treated with TAE. In all cases, SAP-MS was used as an embolic material. The effects of TAE were evaluated for improvement of patients’ symptoms, radiographic change such as vascularity of tumor, size of tumor and occurrence of reossification. Results: Of the four patients, three responded favorably to TAE with improvement in pain and neurologic symptoms with long-term follow up. Diminished vascularity, stabilization of tumor size and reossification were shown radiographically. One patient died because of tumor growth 26 months after the initial TAE. Conclusion: In sacral GCT, TAE using SAP-MS might be useful for symptom improvement, reossification of the lesion and stabilization of tumor size.

14Analysis Of Sap And Liquor From Nipa (Nypa Fruticans Wurmb.) Fruit Stalk Using Adopted Nipa Sap Closed Collection Vessel In Barangay Ipil And Barangay Villafranca, Gigaquit, Surigao Del Norte

By

The distilled ethanol/liquor from the naturally fermented Nipa sap ( Tuba  in local language), is locally referred to as  Laksoy . Currently, the Gigaquit Agra Multi-Purpose Corp. of the Municipal Agriculture Office branded  Laksoy  as  Gigaquit Rhum  sold in 375ml Net Content with 80 Proof (40% Alcohol by Volume or ABV). The study analyzed Nipa sap and liquor in terms of ethanol (% ABV) and pH from the Nipa plants in the estuary of Barangay Ipil, Gigaquit, Surigao del Norte with Brackish Water and from the Nipa plants in the estuary of Barangay Villafranca, Gigaquit, Surigao del Norte with Seawater. Brackish Water is flowing in Barangay Ipil estuary. Seawater is flowing in Barangay Villafranca estuary. The adopted Nipa Sap Closed Collection Vessel was utilized preserving the components of the fresh Nipa sap such as Ethanol and pH for accurate measurement. Level of pH varies between Brackish Water and Seawater Nipa plants due to ongoing natural fermentation. After 5 days of Nipa sap fermentation, ethanol amount decreases and pH level also decreases which signifies the completion of the process of fermentation. Distilled ethanol/liquor content is higher from Nipa plants in Brackish Water with 37.35% ABV which is equivalent to 75.5 Proof than Nipa plants in Seawater. Distilled ethanol from Nipa plants in Seawater is more acidic. However, the Ethanol amount and pH levels in Gigaquit Rhum from Barangay Ipil and Villafranca does not vary statistically. 16ERIC EJ1068996: Creating "SMART" Supply Chain Scenarios Using SAP R/3

By

Pedagogical revisions to the undergraduate Haub School of Business curriculum at Saint Joseph's University employing the SAP R/3 system encompass the core accounting courses traversing the sophomore and junior years. The entire accounting curriculum was overhauled in order to integrate SAP R/3. Each course progressively builds upon and expands the knowledge base in the prior course(s). Substantive pedagogical modifications have been integrated into the material delivered and methodologies utilized in selected sections of the required sophomore and junior accounting courses. SAP supported material, created and modified by a student team, is delivered in the classroom using a team-oriented format within a business case context. It is envisioned that the SAP material will seamlessly present accounting issues currently in the curriculum, while allowing the students to observe the capabilities of SAP R/3. This paper discusses the design, implementation, and execution of collaborative supply chain business scenarios using SAP R/3 as the platform. Its use within an undergraduate curriculum is assessed and evaluated. Sample scenarios and a demonstration case are included.

18Design And Analysis Of A Girder Bridge For Highway Structures Using Sap 2000

By

In this study, a comparative study supported two differing types of bridges i.e. Deck type and Pre stressed deck type using finite element analysis in SAP 2000 is ready , considering same loading class 70 R as per I.R.C. loading. During this study well also prepare a price analysis of both the structures using S.O.R. C.P.W.D. 2014. This sort of bridges is more preferred when it involves connectivity to short distances. So, its necessary to update the analysis and style methods. Here, during this paper, theres an effort to review the comparison of maximum bending moment thanks to super load during a girder and slab bridge an equivalent bridge is analyzed as a three dimensional model in finite element software as SAP2000, apply an equivalent loading finished conventional methods and compared the results. The utmost bending moment results obtained from finite element model. To be more responsive to students' needs, many local education agencies (LEAs) are creating extended and summer learning opportunities to facilitate learning acceleration. Many LEAs elected to leverage federal funds to create opportunities that increase the time students spend engaged in safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments, particularly for students most impacted by disruptions in learning due to the pandemic. LEAs may be tempted to revisit the entirety of the previous year's content for fear that it was not mastered by students. However, approaches that result in wholesale remediation or pull-out interventions can isolate students and impede their access to engaging in grade-level content. This could lead to the most vulnerable students falling further behind their peers who have consistent, uninterrupted opportunities to proceed with grade-level work (Darling-Hammond et al., 2020; Council of the Great City Schools, 2020). The "Learning Acceleration Guide" summarizes the developing base of literature on learning acceleration approaches and shares promising practices from New Jersey schools. It has been crafted for LEA administrators with the goal of helping teachers, support staff, families, and students emerge from these unprecedented times and start the new school year stronger than ever. LEA leaders are encouraged to consider these strategies as they plan for the 2021-2022 school year. It has been developed using principles derived from the Council of the Great City Schools resource entitled "Addressing Unfinished Learning after COVID-19 School Closures." The resource has been adapted for New Jersey schools and intended to complement resources being released by the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) and various other organizations, including Student Achievement Partners (SAP), the Council of Chief State School Officers, and the United States Department of Education that also address the challenges of prioritizing instruction, accelerating learning, and meeting the social-emotional and mental health needs of students. The common messages found across these materials illustrate a consensus in the field around the importance of safeguarding educational equity and access in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. [For the guide, "Addressing Unfinished Learning after COVID-19 School Closures," see ED615351. The guide was originally released in June 2021.]

21[EuroPython 2017] Christoph Heer - How SAP Is Using Python To Test Its Database SAP HANA

SAP operates one of the largest test infrastructure to test its in-memory database SAP HANA. The infrastructure provides different services like continues integration, code coverage and code linting for a huge C++ project with Python test coding. These services are essential for the development teams and quality specialists. Without these services developing and shipping of new SAP HANA version wouldn’t be possible. In 2010, we started with a single Jenkins master with ten nodes. But to keep our testing time acceptable for the growing number of developers we had to scale up and that led to multiple different scaling challenges. The current test infrastructure is powered by more than thousand physical servers. Scaling of the infrastructure was only possible with custom optimizations like improved scheduling, expressive test configuration and robust tooling implemented in our favorite language Python. With the flexibility and power of Python it’s possible for developers to implement complex test scenarios to verify features and mitigate regressions. On infrastructure side, it has been easier to extend, optimize and adapt the infrastructure for new requirements like different CPU architectures and newer Operating systems versions. This talk provides insights and stories how we scaled and improved our test infrastructure and how new technologies like Linux Containers can improve automated testing and software quality assurance. Please see our speaker release agreement for details: https://ep2017.europython.eu/en/speaker-release-agreement/

22SAP For A Bachelor Thesis: Diagnostic Classification Of (comorbid) Social Anxiety And Depression Using Structural Magnetic Resonance Imaging Data: A Machine Learning Approach

By

This study is part of the TIP project. Here, we will use machine learning to investigate whether it is possible to discriminate patients with social anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder and their comorbid appearance from each other and healthy controls based on neuroanatomical magnetic resonance imaging data. Additionally, we will try to predict the scores of two questionnaires used to diagnose the two mental disorders (LSAS and BDI) to investigate whether a dimensional approach to the discrimination is feasible.

25ERIC EJ1060349: Starledger: A Business Activity Model Using SAP R/3 As A Classroom Tool To Measure Learning Outcomes

By

Integrating enterprise system applications within the accounting curriculum has been a major challenge for over eight years. Enterprise systems education is surprisingly well documented within the literature of enterprise system education. Not surprisingly, most of these papers provide a descriptive study of individual experiences of an institution of an academic unit. This paper focuses on the use of a practice case set within the accounting curriculum of a four year liberal arts based accounting program. The results of the integration of this practice case show the ability of enterprise software to bring textbook concepts to life and a high satisfaction level among the students using this package. [A bibliography is included.]

27Design And Analysis Of A Girder Bridge For Highway Structures Using SAP 2000

By

In this work, a comparison of two different bridge types—the deck type and the pre stressed deck type—using finite element analysis in SAP 2000 is complete, taking into account the same loading class 70 R according to I.R.C. loading. Using S.O.R. C.P.W.D. 2014, we will also prepare a price analysis of both structures during this investigation. When connecting to short distances, this type of bridge is more preferred. Therefore, its important to upgrade the analysis and styling techniques. In this work, an attempt is made to compare the maximum bending moment caused by the super load on a girder and slab bridge. An equivalent bridge is analysed as a three dimensional model in finite element software such as SAP2000, apply an equivalent loading finished conventional methods, and compare the results. The finite element model yields the maximum bending moment. Lekha Malviya | Dr. A. K. Jha | Dr. R. S. Abstract A repeated batch fermentation system was used to produce ethanol using Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain (NCIM 3640) immobilized on sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) pieces. For comparison free cells were also used to produce ethanol by repeated batch fermentation. Scanning electron microscopy evidently showed that cell immobilization resulted in firm adsorption of the yeast cells within subsurface cavities, capillary flow through the vessels of the vascular bundle structure, and attachment of the yeast to the surface of the sugarcane pieces. Repeated batch fermentations using sugarcane supported biocatalyst were successfully carried out for at least ten times without any significant loss in ethanol production from sugarcane juice and molasses. The number of cells attached to the support increased during the fermentation process, and fewer yeast cells leaked into fermentation broth. Ethanol concentrations (about 72.65~76.28 g/L in an average value) and ethanol productivities (about 2.27~2.36 g/L/hr in an average value) were high and stable, and residual sugar concentrations were low in all fermentations (0.9~3.25 g/L) with conversions ranging from 98.03~99.43%, showing efficiency 91.57~95.43 and operational stability of biocatalyst for ethanol fermentation. The results of the work pertaining to the use of sugarcane as immobilized yeast support could be promising for industrial fermentations.

Book's cover

<i>Sklepy cynamonowe</i> to pierwszy, debiutancki cykl opowiadań Brunona Schulza, które pierwotnie były postscriptami w listach do Debory Vogel i Władysława Riffa. <br /> Utwory te, pisane poetycką prozą, są fantastycznym przetworzeniem realiów przedwojennego miasteczka galicyjskiego, w którym dostrzec można podobieństwo do Drohobycza, rodzinnego miasta pisarza. <br /> Zbiór, w sposób wizyjny i oniryczny, opowiada dzieje rodziny kupieckiej, którym to dziejom Schulz nadał walory mityczne. (Summary by Mateusz Wycislik.)<br /><br /> A collection of short stories written in 1931-1933, based on Schulz's memories from his childhood in the town of Drohobycz (now in Ukraine). (English summary by Sandra Zera.)
