An International Workshop dedicated to the anniversary of the Polyakov's String (of course today there is no need to remind the meaning and the role of this theory) was held in Chernogolovka in June 2005. Apart from the 25-th anniversary of the first appearance of the Polyakov's String theory, this conference, to our mind, might be also thought of as a 35 years from the discovery of the Conformal Invariance, 30 years of the Monopole and the Instantons and, finally, as the 20-th anniversary of the CFT. A case of mysterious coincidence, this year is also a jubilee of Sasha himself, whose contribution to the Theoretical Physics of 20-th century is far from being exhausted by the achievements listed above.

Rewards of up to $100,000 have been offered for her so-called red diary, a private detective believes she was killed by a dissident faction of the CIA and a former coroner's aide claims he was coerced into signing hdr death certificate. Robert Slatzer, author of "The Life and Curious Death of Marilyn Conroe," published in 1974, told reporters that in the last summer of her life miss Monroe was having an affair with Senator Kennedy. He said Miss Monroe showed him her diary, which included details GF her relationship with Kennedy, who was then U.S. attorney general, and information about the CIA. Slatzer said Kennedy broke off his relationship with Miss Monroe two wee;cs before her death. "This was a woman who couldn't take rejection," Slatzer said. He said an the night before she died she told him by telephone if she did not hear from Kennedy soon she would call a press conference "and blow the lid." Michael Speriglio, a member of a leading Los Angeles private detective agency who said he had been investigating Miss Monroe's for 10 years, offered a $'JJ,OOO reward for the diary. He said he had evidence, which he did not specify, th:3t the diary included entries of Kennedy telling Miss Monroe of a CIA plot to kill Cuban leader Fidel Castro. He told a press conference he had uncovered through sources a plot organized by the CIA to kidnap Miss Monroe and take her to a "safe house" in Virginia, where the CIA has its headquarters. "The faction intended to make known later Miss Monroe had suffered a nervous breakdown so no one would accept what she said," Speriglio said. But, he said, he believed what he called a dissident CI r g Miss Monroe first and murdered her. Dr. Theodore Curphey, who was Los Angeles coroner when Miss Monroe died, has disputed claims she was murdered. "These stories have circulated for years," he said. "There is no point to them." This article is from Iranian Journal of Public Health , volume 39 . Abstract Background:: Oyan reservoir, South-West Nigeria was constructed in 1984 to generate electricity but has altered the existing physical, biological and socio-economic environment of the people. This study, carried out between October 2006 and March 2008, aimed at investigating the current status of Schistosoma haematobium infection around the reservoir. Methods:: Urine samples from 536 participants in five communities were examined for haematuria using reagent strips and S. haematobium ova was detected using sedimentation by gravity method. The participants were drawn from Abule Tuntun (n= 115), Ibaro (n= 156), Imala Odo (n= 88), Imala (n= 103) and Apojula (n= 74) communitie. Results:: Prevalence rates by haematuria were (Abule Tuntun- 33.04%; Ibaro- 73.07%; Imala odo- 60.22%; Imala- 7.77%; Apojula - 39.19%) and by presence of parasite ova were (Abule Tuntun- 39.13%; Ibaro- 83.97%; Imala Odo- 62.5%; Imala- 20.39%; Apojula- 54.05%). Conclusion:: S. haematobium transmission has been sustained in the reservoir since the outbreak was first reported in 1988. Mass treatment with praziquantel was conducted 8 years ago (2001) in two of the communities. However, the infection has persisted due to lack of pipe borne water and safe waste disposal system.

From the outset, the project was designed with two interrelated components, an annual nationwide survey of high school seniors, and a periodic follow-up questionnaire mailed to subsamples of each class cohort. The project has monitored four kinds of trends: (1) changes common to all cohorts in a given historical period; (2) maturational changes or age effects which show up consistently in the longitudinal data; (3) changes from one graduating class to another; and (4) longitudinal changes reflecting the differential impacts of important post-high school environments and major role transitions. This report is a study of school integration in Missouri 20 years after the United States Supreme Court decision in Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas. During the course of the study a number of school districts were visited. In most cases, the superintendent of schools or a high ranking administrator was interviewed. The method of interview was informal. The school district representative was given an opportunity to talk about his district's problems, programs and progress in the school desegregation area. Specific questions were then asked during the course of the conversation covering such topics as minority teacher recruitment and placement practices, extracurricular activities, black and white student relations, communication with black parents and the quality of education for black students. Part One of this report traces the course of Supreme Court rulings on school desegregation from 1954 to 1974. Tactics used by school districts to avoid integration are examined. Statistical evidence of the extent of integration in Missouri is examined in Part Two. Part Three is a discussion of the results of integration in four areas of the state: Southeast Missour, St. Louis, Kansas City, and Central Missouri. It is often considered, along with <i>The Three Musketeers</i>, as Dumas's most popular work. The writing of the work was completed in 1844. Like many of his novels, it is expanded from the plot outlines suggested by his collaborating ghostwriter Auguste Maquet.<br /><br />The story takes place in France, Italy, islands in the Mediterranean and the Levant during the historical events of 1815–1838 (from just before the Hundred Days through the reign of Louis-Philippe of France). The historical setting is a fundamental element of the book. It is primarily concerned with themes of justice, vengeance, mercy, and forgiveness, and is told in the style of an adventure story. The Three Musketeers (Les Trois Mousquetaires) is a novel by Alexandre Dumas, père. It recounts the adventures of a young man named d'Artagnan after he leaves home to become a musketeer. D'Artagnan is not one of the musketeers of the title; those are his friends Athos, Porthos, and Aramis -- inseparable friends who live by the motto, "One for all, and all for one".<br><br> The Three Musketeers was first published in serial form in the magazine Le Siècle between March and July 1844. Dumas claimed it was based on manuscripts he had discovered in the Bibliothèque Nationale. It was later proven that Dumas had based his work on the book Mémoires de Monsieur D'Artagnan, capitaine lieutenant de la première compagnie des Mousquetaires du Roi (Memoirs of Mister D'Artagnan, Lieutenant Captain of the first company of the King's Musketeers) by Gatien de Courtilz de Sandras (Cologne, 1700). <br><br> Dumas' version of the story covers the adventures of D'Artagnan and his friends from 1625 to 1628, as they are involved in intrigues involving the weak King Louis XIII of France, his powerful and cunning advisor Cardinal Richelieu, the beautiful Queen Anne of Austria, her English lover, George Villiers, 1st Duke of Buckingham, and the Siege of La Rochelle. Edmond Dantès, a young seaman with a promising future, is arrested at his wedding ceremony under calomnious charges, and locked up in the Chateau d'If for 14 years. During this time, he secretly meets another detainee, l'Abbé Faria, an erudite believed to be insane, who becomes his friend and teacher, and who, upon his death, gives Edmond the secret to a hidden treasure.<br /><br />Dantès then manages to escape, almost drowning in the process, and is believed by all to be dead. In this, the last of the Three Musketeers novels, Dumas builds on the true story of a mysterious prisoner held incognito in the French penal system, forced to wear a mask when seen by any but his jailer or his valet. If you have skipped the novels between The Three Musketeers and this, a few notes will bring you into the story:<br></br>On one side – Aramis, now a bishop and secretly the Captain-General of the Jesuit Order, who believes he has found a path to a higher honor – the papacy. Monsieur Fouquet, the vastly rich minister of finance, Aramis’ ally. Philippe, the identical twin of King Louis XIV, who grew up in ignorance of his pedigree, and whose surrogate parents were murdered on the king’s order and himself sent into the notorious Paris prison, the Bastille, there held in solitary confinement.<br></br>On the other side – King Louis XIV, selected as the twin who would be king by his mother, and who intends that his brother will never challenge him. Monsieur Colbert, first minister, who is jealous of Fouquet and plots his downfall.<br></br>Unaligned and in danger of collateral damage – d’Artagnan, now captain of the King’s Musketeers and so the king’s chief defender, who suspects plots running beneath the surface and who is trying to unearth them. Athos, now the Comte (Count) de la Fer and one of the most respected noblemen of France. Raoul, Athos’ son and vicomte (viscount), desperately in love with Mademoiselle de la Valliere, who the king has taken as his mistress. Porthos, grown extremely stout and happy as the Baron du Vallon.<br></br>Aramis discovers the hidden Philippe and hatches a plot to substitute him for the sitting king, putting Louis in Philippe’s cell in the Bastille. This even succeeds… for a short while. But Aramis has not reckoned with a man whose loyalty to the throne exceeds his own welfare and who disastrously reverses the plot. The novel begins with the 1672 politically motivated mob lynching of the de Witt brothers and then follows the story of Cornelius van Baerle, godson of Cornelius de Wit.
