In this mixed method systematic review, we explore the effectiveness of intimate partner violence (IPV) screening tools used to screen pregnant women. Despite clinical guidelines supporting IPV screening in prenatal care, the effectiveness of the tools currently in use and the experiences of those being screened are poorly understood. The main objective of this review is to explore the effectiveness of current screening tools used to assess IPV in women throughout their pregnancy journey. The pregnancy journey encompasses the period from preconception (actively trying to get pregnant) to the perinatal period (the period you become pregnant and up to one year after giving birth). To examine the effectiveness of these tools, we will explore the reported psychometric properties, such as tool sensitivity and specificity, in pregnant women who have undergone IPV screening in healthcare settings. To explore the topic, we will use a targeted search strategy in which studies will be sourced from CINAHL, MEDLINE, PsycINFO, CENTRAL, and Google Scholar. Only studies published between 2015 and 2025 in English will be included. Qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research will be considered. All studies will be screened on the Covidence with 10% of studies requiring two independent reviewers. All conflicts will require a consensus from the entire research team. Data extraction will also take place on Covidence, which will require 10% of studies to be reviewed by two independent reviewers. The data extracted from both reviewers must be identical and will need consensus to move on to the data analysis phase. Once the screening and data extraction processes are completed, findings will be synthesized using inductive and thematic analysis to identify patterns in patient experiences and reported psychometric properties regarding screening tools and their effectiveness. The results of this review will add to the evidence about trauma-informed and effective IPV screening practices and support future research, clinical decision-making, and policy development.

This study collected and analyzed relevant literature on workplace violence in home visit nursing by searching relevant databases such as CINAHL, Embase, Medline, and Web of Science, as well as Google and Baidu browsers, summarized the main contents of existing tools, and analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of existing tools to form a standardized report, in order to provide theoretical support for the subsequent development of related tools.

The objectives of the scoping review were as follows: 1) to identify existing obstetric violence scales or tools. 2) To examine the characteristics and psychometric properties of the identified scales or tools. 3) To investigate the populations and settings in which these scales or tools have been utilized. 4) To assess the psychometric properties and quality of the identified scales or tools.

The purpose of this scoping literature review is to map screening tools and perinatal risk screening programs within Europe.

A systematic review examining commonly used violence risk assessment tools and their predictive validity in individuals with schizophrenia.

Youth violence is a serious global public health problem. Despite a decline in homicide rates across the United States during the 1990s, homicide rates are again rising and continue to claim the lives of many young people. The human and economic toll of violence on young people, their families, and society is high. Homicide is the second leading cause of death for persons 15-24 years of age and has been the leading cause of death for African-Americans in this age group for over a decade. The economic cost associated with violence-related illness, disability, and premature death is estimated to be in the billions of dollars each year. This compendium provides researchers and prevention specialists with a set of tools to assess violence-related beliefs, behaviors, and influences, as well as to evaluate programs to prevent youth violence. Readers who are new to the field of youth violence prevention and unfamiliar with available measures may find this compendium to be particularly useful. For experienced researchers, this compendium may serve as a resource to identify additional measures to assess the factors associated with violence among youths. An index is included.
