Motor memory consolidation is the process by which labile motor memory traces become more robust. This process has been extensively studied using motor sequence learning (MSL) tasks that involve integrating the temporal structure of a series of stereotyped movements into a unitary, well-rehearsed sequence. Both the behavioral and neural correlates of motor sequence memory consolidation have been extensively characterized in young adults. Briefly, initial acquisition of a movement sequence, occurring during online practice of the task and characterized by a substantial improvement in performance, is followed by a slower phase in which smaller improvements emerge across multiple practice sessions. Importantly, the consolidation phase, occurring offline, between practice sessions, offers a privileged time window for the acquired memory to be transformed into a more stable, robust memory trace. Post-learning sleep, and specifically non-rapid eye movement sleep (NREM) (Geneviève Albouy et al., 2008) (Geneviève Albouy, Fogel, et al., 2013), is known to further enhance this consolidation process. The sleep-related motor memory consolidation process has been shown to be augmented by experimental interventions referred to as targeted memory reactivation (TMR). TMR consists of replaying offline (i.e., during the consolidation period) sensory stimuli that were associated to the task during learning (Ngo et al., 2013). Auditory TMR applied during post-learning Slow Wave Sleep (SWS) has been consistently used to boost motor memory consolidation in healthy young adults (Cousins et al., 2016) (Schönauer et al., 2014). Furthermore, reinforcing the synchronization of cerebral oscillations during sleep using auditory stimuli (Ngo et al., 2015) specifically presented during SW up-states (optimal period of neuronal excitability) has been shown to optimize declarative memory consolidation ( Ngo et al., 2013) (Batterink et al., 2016) (Göldi et al., 2019). However, studies causally linking the specific phase of the SW to enhancement or impairment of memory consolidation processes are rather sparse in the declarative memory field and non-existent in the motor memory domain. Additionally, the neurophysiological processes supporting these effects are poorly understood. In this project, we will combine TMR and Closed-Loop (CL) stimulation of specific phases of SWs in order to modulate motor memory consolidation. The algorithm we will use allows precise time-locking of the stimulation to the trough and the peak of the SW. The aim of the present study is twofold. First, our design allows to causally link the different phases of the SW to consolidation processes and, second, to investigate the influence of CL-TMR on the neural correlates of motor memory using sleep electro-encephalography (EEG) recordings and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during task performance. To do so, participants will be trained, in the fMRI scanner on a motor sequence learning (MSL) task involving 3 different sequences. Each of these sequences will be associated to one specific sound during learning. During the subsequent post-learning sleep monitored with EEG, one sound will be played at the peak of the SW (reactivated-up condition), another sound will be played at the trough of the SW (reactivated-down condition) while the last sound will not be replayed (control condition). To assess consolidation, motor task performance will be retested, in the fMRI scanner, after the night episode (post-night retest).

We use the Thermodynamic Bethe Ansatz equations for the AdS_5 \times S^5 mirror model to derive the five-loop anomalous dimension of the Konishi operator. We show numerically that the corresponding result perfectly agrees with the one recently obtained via the generalized Luscher formulae. This constitutes an important test of the AdS/CFT TBA system.

A nonlinear feedback control law for the F/A-18 airplane that provides time-optimal or agile maneuvering of the half-loop maneuver at high angles of attack is given. The feedback control law was developed using the mathematical approach of singular perturbations, in which the control devices considered were conventional aerodynamic control surfaces and thrusting. The derived nonlinear control law was used to simulate F/A-18 half-loop maneuvers. The simulated results at Mach 0.6 and 0.9 compared well with pilot simulations conducted at NASA.

The U.S. Air Force Spares Campaign and other analyses identified the need for a new, consistent approach for managing spares and repair requirements. The objective is to provide resources to achieve the levels of fully mission capable sorties and weapon system availability required in the Air Expeditionary Force (AEF) environment for both regional contingencies and major theater wars. The new approach is needed because the Air Force does not have a procedure to allocate limited funding for depot repair across weapon systems in a way that links the trade-offs to the projected readiness of each weapon system. In fact, no current system computes the readiness related to various levels of depot repair funding. The current planning system for depot-level repairs develops a requirement based on historical repair demands. The funding of the requirement depends on other priorities within the Air Force budget process, and frequently the requirement is not fully funded. With the current planning systems and process, the implications of this shortfall cannot be easily estimated in terms of reduced sortie capability or weapon availability. This is, in effect, an open-loop system that cannot easily show decisionmakers the consequences of their repair budgeting decisions. A closed-loop system would allow decisionmakers to choose budget levels and feed back the readiness implications. Alternatively, it would allow decisionmakers to iterate among levels of readiness and required budgets to see what the budget consequences of desired levels of readiness would be.

The tracking problem when the clock drifts is also treated. The technique is applicable to a wide variety of related problems, to get continuous time Markov systems which are easier to analyze the original (continuous or discrete time) systems which they approximate. Abstract-Internet-distributed hardware-in-the-loop (IDHIL) simulation integrates geographically-dispersed HIL setups and fosters concurrent systems testing early in the design process. The degree to which an ID-HIL simulation loses fidelity relative to the single-location alternative is referred to as distortion. The literature showed that various factors affect distortion, e.g., delay, jitter, and loss. This paper shows that the coupling points, i.e., the particular points at which the system model is divided to enable distribution across the Internet, also affect distortion. The aim is to turn coupling point selection into a design decision that can be used to minimize distortion. To quantify distortion, a frequency-domain metric is proposed using a linear systems framework. This metric is then used to analyze how the choice of the coupling point affects distortion, leading to guidelines for selecting a coupling point that gives minimal distortion. The theory is demonstrated on a quarter-car model.

Demand in the future air transportation system concept is expected to double or triple by 2025 [1]. Increasing airport arrival rates will help meet the growing demand that could be met with additional runways but the expansion airports is met with environmental challenges for the surrounding communities when using current standards and procedures. Therefore, changes to airport operations can improve airport capacity without adding runways. Building additional runways between current ones, or moving them closer, is a potential solution to meeting the increasing demand, as addressed by the Terminal Area Capacity Enhancing Concept (TACEC). TACEC requires robust technologies and procedures that need to be tested such that operations are not compromised under instrument meteorological conditions. The reduction of runway spacing for independent simultaneous operations dramatically exacerbates the criticality of wake vortex incursion and the calculation of a safe and proper breakout maneuver. The study presented here developed guidelines for such operations by performing a real-time, human-in-the-loop simulation using precision navigation, autopilot-flown approaches, with the pilot monitoring aircraft spacing and the wake vortex safe zone during the approach.

As aircraft continue to increase their power and thermal demands, transient operation of the power and propulsion subsystems can no longer be neglected at the aircraft system level. The performance of the whole aircraft must be considered by examining the dynamic interactions between the power, propulsion, and airframe subsystems. Larger loading demands placed on the power and propulsion subsystems result in thrust, speed, and altitude transients that affect the aircraft performance and capability. This results in different operating and control parameters for the engine that can be properly captured only in an integrated system-level test. While it is possible to capture the dynamic interactions between these aircraft subsystems by using simulations alone, the complexity of the resulting system model has a high computational cost. This paper investigates the possibility of using hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) power extraction with real time simulation of the airframe and propulsion subsystems.

We present a new sensitive 2675 MHz radio continuum map of the Cygnus Loop, which is used in conjunction with 408 MHz, 863 MHz and 1420 MHz maps from both the Effelsberg 100-m telescope and the DRAO Synthesis Telescope for a spectral analysis. Between 408 MHz and 2675 MHz we find an overall integrated spectral index of $\rm \alpha = -0.42 \pm 0.06$ ($S \sim \nu^{\alpha}$), close to previous results. There is no indication of a spectral break in the integrated spectrum. Spatially highly varying and rather strong spectral curvature was previously reported, but is not confirmed on the basis of new, higher sensitivity observations. We found spectral variations across the Cygnus Loop reaching up to $\Delta\alpha = 0.2$ from a TT-plot analysis. The flattest spectra are seen towards enhanced emission areas. Spectral index maps produced between different frequency pairs, as well as all four maps, revealed that there are at least three flat spectrum regions. In regions interior to the high emission filaments, we have detected at least two spectral components across the whole object with $\alpha=-0.4$ and $\alpha=-0.6$ towards northern and southern parts of the object, respectively.

The Gowdy cosmologies provide a suitable arena to further develop Loop Quantum Cosmology, allowing the presence of inhomogeneities. For the particular case of Gowdy spacetimes with the spatial topology of a three-torus and a content of linearly polarized gravitational waves, we detail a hybrid quantum theory in which we combine a loop quantization of the degrees of freedom that parametrize the subfamily of homogeneous solutions, which represent Bianchi I spacetimes, and a Fock quantization of the inhomogeneities. Two different theories are constructed and compared, corresponding to two different schemes for the quantization of the Bianchi I model within the {\sl improved dynamics} formalism of Loop Quantum Cosmology. One of these schemes has been recently put forward by Ashtekar and Wilson-Ewing. We address several issues including the quantum resolution of the cosmological singularity, the structure of the superselection sectors in the quantum system, or the construction of the Hilbert space of physical states.

An ideal turbomachine transfers energy from a rotating shaft to a fluid through the creation of a flow, field that is unsteady, in the absolute frame. In order to understand and control the work and acoustics of this process the basic building-block singularities of potential flow are developed in a unified manner such that both near- and far-field effects appear naturally in the formulation. It is shown how the total vector force applied to the fluid by a discrete rigid blade is related to the bound and shed vortex system and the acceleration of the displaced mass. Following Lighthill, the volume integral of the vector moment of vorticity is found to describe most fundamentally how, the unsteady fluid motions in a turbomachine are related to surface forces that do work on the fluid. Because unsteady flow is required for energy transfer, the work input of a single blade creates simultaneously in the fluid an acoustic signal that propagates to the far-field. The strength of this signal is determined by the time derivative of the instantaneous blade force component in the direction of a stationary observer, i.e., with the pattern of a rotating dipole. The summation of these tonal signals from combinations of blades and vanes is computed for free-field and cylindrical duct boundary conditions. Bessel functions are found to characterize both cases, their order being determined by specific blade/vane number differences. Rules for tonal sound control by acoustic interference or mode decay, such as those of Tyler and Sofrin, are examined. Implications for broadband acoustics are discussed.

We compute the pole mass of the gluon in QCD from the local composite operator formalism at two loops in the MSbar renormalization scheme. For Yang-Mills theory an estimate of the mass at two loops is 2.13 Lambda_MSbar.

We present a numerical evaluation of the loop-after-loop contribution to the second-order self-energy for the ground state of hydrogenlike atoms with low nuclear charge numbers Z. The calculation is carried out in the Fried-Yennie gauge and without an expansion in Z \alpha. Our calculation confirms the results of Mallampalli and Sapirstein and disagrees with the calculation by Goidenko and coworkers. A discrepancy between different calculations is investigated. An accurate fitting of the numerical results provides a detailed comparison with analytic calculations based on an expansion in the parameter Z \alpha. We confirm the analytic results of order \alpha^2 (Z\alpha)^5 but disagree with Karshenboim's calculation of the \alpha^2 (Z \alpha)^6 \ln^3(Z \alpha)^{-2} contribution.

The sfermion-mass spectrum of the minimal supersymmetric standard model is investigated at the one-loop level. An on-shell scheme has been specified for renormalization of the basic breaking parameters of the sfermionic sector. Owing to SU(2)-invariance, the soft-breaking mass parameters of the left-chiral scalar fermions of each isospin doublet are identical. Thus, one of the sfermion-masses of each doublet can be expressed in terms of the other masses and receives a mass shift at the one-loop level with respect to the lowest-order value, which can be of $O(10$ GeV). Both strong and electroweak contributions have been calculated for scalar quarks and leptons.

Third graders at Overton Elementary took a fun approach to learning how to write an Extended Constructed Response, or ECR. Kayla Templeton turned her classroom into a hospital, and students had to dissect and reassemble an example ECR to give a health grade, and then write a prescription on what is needed to make it healthier! “That it was very cool, and I want to do this when I grow up.” Shout out to Office Depot for their continued support of Lubbock ISD. The office supply retailer donated funds from their Give Back to Schools campaign. This quarter, Office Depot provided money to Roberts Elementary, Irons Middle School, and our AgriSTEM Complex. The Lubbock Professional Firefighters Association donated coats to every student at Brown Elementary. It’s part of their Operation Warm program. The association has provided more than 10-thousand coats to students across our district since the program started back in 2013. “The kids are just beaming with pride as they get to receive their brand-new coat and interact with one of the firefighters or one of the other volunteers who are here to help pass out coats, but it’s just a wonderful opportunity, and we are so incredibly grateful.” Ramirez Elementary put on a patriotic performance at the Buddy Holly Hall. 3rd and 4th graders performed for families in the Crickets Theater. Parsons Elementary hosted Science Night featuring Doctor Brilliant! Families enjoyed several different demonstrations, and Doctor Brilliant even invited some of the Plainsmen to join him at the experiment table. “Today was a wonderful invitation to kind of come back to some old roots of sharing science experiments with kiddos, and it was fun.” At Wheelock Elementary, 5th grade art students are focusing on international cultures. For one project, the Plainsmen are creating sushi out of pieces of clay. To give them some inspiration, United Supermarkets visited campus to do some sushi-making demonstrations! Kindergarteners at Smith Elementary celebrated color week. It’s a campus tradition going back more than 30 years! To wrap up their learning, the Stars took part in blackout day focused on key skills in a black light environment. 3rd graders at Smith wrapped up a fun animal unit in Amplify with a special guest. A biology professor from South Plains College visited with the Stars and she brought some interesting animals that connected with the students' learning. 6th graders at McCool Academy hosted their first Exhibition Night of the year with “Cold Case Chronicles.” The Astronauts showcased their work as amateur detectives. Students worked together to study real-life cold case files. Then, they analyzed these mysterious cases and crafted evidence boards, timelines, and created insightful podcasts to share their findings. “Hi! We examine the validity of the 1-loop approximation to the effective potential at finite temperatures and present a simple test for its reliability. As an application we study the standard electroweak potential, showing that for a Higgs mass above 70 GeV, and afirly independent of the top mass (with $m_{t} > 90 GeV$, the 1-loop approximation is no longer valid for temperatures in the neighborhood of the critical temperature.

We present a detailed evaluation of the bosonic two-loop electroweak corrections to the muon's anomalous magnetic moment. We study the Higgs mass dependence and find agreement with a previous evaluation in the large Higgs mass limit. We find $a_{\mu}^{\rm EW bos}({two-loop})=(-22.2 \pm 1.6)\times 10^{-11}$, for $114 {\rm GeV} \le M_{\rm Higgs}\le 700 {\rm GeV}$.

The loop space LP_1 of the Riemann sphere consisting of all C^k or Sobolev W^{k,p} maps from the circle S^1 to P_1 is an infinite dimensional complex manifold. The loop group LPGL(2,C) acts on LP_1. We prove that the group of LPGL(2,C) invariant holomorphic line bundles on LP_1 is isomorphic to an infinite dimensional Lie group. Further, we prove that the space of holomorphic sections of these bundles is finite dimensional, and compute the dimension for a generic bundle.

We analyze the operator product expansion T_{\mu \nu}(z) W[C] in N=4 4-dimensional Super-Yang-Mills (SYM) theory with U(N) gauge group, and clarify that the closed Wilson loop does not possess an anomalous dimension and that only the shape of the loop is changed by the conformal transformation.

The measure for the one loop scattering of one and $N$ bosonic strings is calculated using the Group Theoretic approach to String Theory. The calculation is done for the case when the projective transformation associated with the loop can be parametrized in terms of two finite fixed points and the multiplier.

The calculation of the two-loop corrections to the three jet production rate and to event shapes in electron-positron annihilation requires the computation of a number of up to now unknown two-loop four-point master integrals with one off-shell and three on-shell legs. In this paper, we compute those master integrals which correspond to planar topologies by solving differential equations in the external invariants which are fulfilled by the master integrals. We obtain the master integrals as expansions in $\e=(4-d)/2$, where $d$ is the space-time dimension. The results are expressed in terms of newly introduced two-dimensional harmonic polylogarithms, whose properties are shortly discussed. For all two-dimensional harmonic polylogarithms appearing in the divergent parts of the integrals, expressions in terms of Nielsen's polylogarithms are given. The analytic continuation of our results to other kinematical situations is outlined.

We shall discuss about the infrared finitness and some analyticity properties of the loop-loop scattering amplitudes in gauge theories, when going from Minkowskian to Euclidean theory, and we shall see how they can be related to the still unsolved problem of the s-dependence of the hadron-hadron total cross-sections.

General expressions for quantum electrodynamic corrections to the one-loop self-energy [of order alpha(Zalpha)^6] and for the two-loop Lamb shift [of order alpha^2(Z\alpha)^] are derived. The latter includes all diagrams with closed fermion loops. The general results are valid for arbitrary excited non-S hydrogenic states and for the normalized Lamb shift difference of S states, defined as Delta_n = n^3 DeltaE(nS) - DeltaE(1S). We present numerical results for one-loop and two-loop corrections for excited S, P and D states. In particular, the normalized Lamb shift difference of S states is calculated with an uncertainty of order 0.1 kHz.

We study representations of the loop braid group $LB_n$ from the perspective of extending representations of the braid group $B_n$. We also pursue a generalization of the braid/Hecke/Temperlely-Lieb paradigm---uniform finite dimensional quotient algebras of the loop braid group algebras.

They're getting ready to launch Control IQ in Germany and France.. and they're moving ahead with studies of this hybrid closed loop system down to age 2. Timing of NEW features is still a bit up in the air.. the company says they answered more FDA questions about bolus by phone and feel on track for approval by the end of the year - iOS and Android. T-sport submission will now likely happen in 2022. Like a lot of diabetes tech, COVID pushed these timelines out. One other little tidbit.. looks like there won't be a big user manual with the mobile improvements - the training will be part of the app itself. New research from the University of Cambridge shows it works just fine. This was interesting because the idea here was to look at people who require dialysis or a kidney transplant. This was a different system, a fully closed loop - no meal announcements needed. People using the artificial pancreas system spent more time in range and less time with hypos. This system has an adaptive algorithm and got better as it went, the average time in range on day one was 36% and by the third week it was 60%. They didn't list much about the technology here - but I'm going to follow up. It's not clear why these researchers aren't also studying this completely closed loop for people with type 1. This is very early on and hasn't yet been tested in people.. the early challenges so far have been keeping the hydrogel stable and keeping the glucagon from leaking out of the water like structure. This project is performed under the Office of Naval Research program on Basic and Applied Research in Sea- Based Aviation (ONR BAA12-SN-0028). This project addresses the Sea Based Aviation (SBA) virtual dynamic interface (VDI) research topic area Fast, high-fidelity physics-based simulation of coupled aerodynamics of moving ship and maneuvering rotorcraft . The work is a collaborative effort between Penn State, NAVAIR, and Combustion Research and Flow Technology (CRAFT Tech). This document presents progress at Penn State University. All software supporting piloted simulations must run at real time speeds or faster. This requirement drives the number of equations that can be solved and in turn the fidelity of supporting physics based models. For real-time aircraft simulations, all aerodynamic related information for both the aircraft and the environment are incorporated into the simulation by way of lookup tables. This approach decouples the aerodynamics of the aircraft from the rest of its external environment. For example, ship airwake are calculated using CFD solutions without the presence of the helicopter main rotor. The gusts from the turbulent ship airwake are then re-played into the aircraft aerodynamic model via look-up tables. For up and away simulations, this approach works well. However, when an aircraft is flying very close to another body (i.e. a ship superstructure), aerodynamic coupling can exist. The main rotor of the helicopter distorts the flow around the ship possibly resulting significant differences in the disturbance on the helicopter. In such cases it is necessary to perform simultaneous calculations of both the Navier-Stokes equations and the aircraft equations of motion in order to achieve a high level of fidelity. This project will explore novel numerical modeling and computer hardware approaches with the goal of real time, fully coupled CFD for virtual dynamic interface modeling & simulation.

We construct a hierarchy of loop equations for invariant circular ensembles. These are valid for general classes of potentials and for arbitrary inverse temperatures $ {\rm Re}\,\beta>0 $ and number of eigenvalues $ N $. Using matching arguments for the resolvent functions of linear statistics $ f(\zeta)=(\zeta+z)/(\zeta-z) $ in a particular asymptotic regime, the global regime, we systematically develop the corresponding large $ N $ expansion and apply this solution scheme to the Dyson circular ensemble. Currently we can compute the second resolvent function to ten orders in this expansion and also its general Fourier coefficient or moment $ m_{k} $ to an equivalent length. The leading large $ N $, large $ k $, $ k/N $ fixed form of the moments can be related to the small wave-number expansion of the structure function in the bulk, scaled Dyson circular ensemble, known from earlier work. From the moment expansion we conjecture some exact partial fraction forms for the low $ k $ moments. For all of the forgoing results we have made a comparison with the exactly soluble cases of $ \beta = 1,2,4 $, general $ N $ and even, positive $ \beta $, $ N=2,3 $.

We compute the Schroedinger functional (SF) for the case of lattice QCD with Wilson fermions (with and without SW improvement) at two-loop order in lattice perturbation theory. This allows us to extract the three-loop beta-function in the SF-scheme. These results are required to compute the running coupling, the Lambda-parameter and quark masses by finite size techniques with negligible systematic errors. In addition our results enable the implementation of two-loop O(a) improvement in SF-simulations.

We show that the number of fully packed loop configurations corresponding to a matching with $m$ nested arches is polynomial in $m$ if $m$ is large enough, thus essentially proving two conjectures by Zuber [Electronic J. Combin. 11 (2004), Article #R13].

Recent electroweak two-loop corrections in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) are reviewed. They have been obtained with the help of the programs FeynArts and TwoCalc, making use of the recently completed MSSM model file for FeynArts. Short examples of how to use the two codes together with the analytic result for the O(Gf^2 m_t^4) corrections to the $\rho$-parameter in the MSSM are presented.

A simple and consistent real time analysis of the long-wavelength chiral condensate fields in the background of hard thermal modes is presented in the framework of the linear sigma model. Effective evolution equations are derived for the inhomogeneous condensate fields coupled to a heat bath. Multiple effects of the thermal background on the disoriented chiral condensate are studied using linear response theory. We determine the temperature dependence of the equilibrium condensate, and examine the modification of the sigma and pion dispersion relations as these mesons traverse a hot medium. We calculate the widths by determining the dissipative coefficients at nonzero temperature at one- and two-loop order with resummed meson masses. Our results show that not only decay processes, but elastic scattering processes are significant at high temperatures, yielding to short relaxation times in the phase transition region. The relaxation times obtained are shorter than in previous estimates, making the observation of DCC signals questionable. Throughout this work Goldstone's Theorem is fulfilled when chiral symmetry is spontaneously broken.

The story takes place on the Turkish side of the dividing line between the combating forces. An escaped British prisoner of war had taken shelter among a group of Jewish workers, who, following a heated discussion, turned him over to the Turkish army. The second part of this project, in English, is a chapter in the book "The Escaping Club," written in 1922 by the same British prisoner of war, the aviator A. J. Sonnets from The Patagonian is a collection of sonnets and the first work published by the short-lived Claire Marie press. Each sonnet is a portrait of someone Evans knows from the Modernist scene just beginning to coalesce in Greenwich Village, and each portrait is dedicated to a completely different acquaintance. (Evans's portraits of his friend Allen Norton are dedicated to the critic Carl Van Vechten, for instance, and his portraits of himself are dedicated to Allen Norton. His portrait of Carl Van Vechten is dedicated to Gertrude Stein.) What emerges is a clever, irreverent, set of early Modernist in-jokes that look forward to the Dadaist and Surrealist movements that would form in Europe after World War I. Giddy, bizarre and deftly constructed, Sonnets from the Patagonian read like nothing else of its time. Evans owned and managed the Claire Marie press and during the year it existed, he published only six titles, including Tender Buttons by Getrude Stein. It is for Tender Buttons that Claire Marie and Donald Evans are best remembered, if they are remembered at all. While it lasted, the press exerted an outsized influence on the world of Modernist art and literature in New York. Evans was an associate of Stein, Van Vechten, Mabel Luhan Dodge, Walter Conrad Arensberg and Wallace Stevens. He published three more books before his death in 1921, allegedly by suicide. Born in London of Welsh parents, George Essex Evans was raised and educated by his mother Mary Ann (née Owen) in Pembrokeshire after she was widowed when George was only a few months old. Emigrating to Queensland with his siblings to Australia at age 17 with the intention of farming, Evans was badly injured in a horse-riding accident, when he was thrown against a tree and was unable to do any physical work. Evans was described as a reserved man, and at times rather moody and impulsive. However, he was also described as a kind person and a loyal friend. He had a strong sense of honour and self-respect, traits that made him a model husband and father. Evans was described as having a tremendous memory, particularly for poetic verse, of which he was able to recite a prodigious amount.
