The transition interface sampling (TIS) technique allows to overcome large free energy barriers within reasonable simulation time, which is impossible for straightforward molecular dynamics. Still, the method does not impose an artificial driving force, but it surmounts the timescale problem by an importance sampling of true dynamical pathways. Recently, it was shown that the efficiency of TIS to calculate reaction rates is less sensitive to the choice of reaction coordinate than those of the standard free energy based techniques. This could be an important advantage in complex systems for which a good reaction coordinate is usually very difficult to find. We explain the principles of this method and discuss some of the promising applications related to zeolite formation.

Abstract The effects on barley starch and grain properties of four starch synthesis mutations were studied during the introgression of the mutations from diverse backgrounds into an elite variety. The lys5f (ADPglucose transporter), wax (granule-bound starch synthase), isa1 (debranching enzyme isoamylase 1) and sex6 (starch synthase IIa) mutations were introgressed into NFC Tipple to give mutant and wild-type BC2F4 families with different genomic contributions of the donor parent. Comparison of starch and grain properties between the donor parents, the BC2F4 families and NFC Tipple allowed the effects of the mutations to be distinguished from genetic background effects. The wax and sex6 mutations had marked effects on starch properties regardless of genetic background. The sex6 mutation conditioned low grain weight and starch content, but the wax mutation did not. The lys5 mutation conditioned low grain weight and starch content, but exceptionally high β-glucan contents. The isa1 mutation promotes synthesis of soluble α-glucan (phytoglycogen). Its introgression into NFC Tipple increased grain weight and total α-glucan content relative to the donor parent, but reduced the ratio of phytoglycogen to starch. This study shows that introgression of mutations into a common, commercial background provides new insights that could not be gained from the donor parent.

In this study, ZnO, α-Fe 2 O 3  and ZnO/Fe 2 O 3  nanocomposites powders with weight ratios of (1:0 / . 5), (1:   1) and (1: 2) were prepared using hydrothermal method and their structural, optical and magnetic properties were investigated. The results obtained from analysis of the XRD patterns confirmed formation of the hexagonal structures for ZnO and Fe 2 O 3.  The absorption spectra of the synthesized samples showed that the absorption in the visible region increases for ZnO/Fe 2 O 3  nanocomposite and its band gap value reduces (increases) in comparison to the zinc oxide (iron oxide). FESEM images showed that Fe 2 O 3  spherical nanoparticles are located on the surface of the ZnO nano-sheets   .The results obtained from magnetic studies by VSM revealed that ZnO has a diamagnetic property and α-Fe 2 O 3  shows soft ferromagnetic behavior and for the nanocomposites, the magnetization values increase with increasing the Fe 2 O 3  concentration. In general, the results show that the particle size, optical property and magnetic property of the ZnO/Fe 2 O 3  nanocomposites strongly depends on the concentration of Fe 2 O 3 .

This report describes the rationale for competency-based vocational teacher education, and a methodology by which synthesized competency lists for the preparation of vocational and career education personnel at various levels were developed during Phase 1 of a project to examine the applicability of competency-based teacher education to Massachusetts. Synthesized competency lists are included for vocational educators at the teacher, middle manager, and administrator levels. Competency statements are also included for personnel to administer career education programs at the elementary, junior, and senior high levels, including counselors, coordinators, and administrators. Findings and recommendations for the project are presented. The appendixes (more than half of the total contents) include all original sources of competency studies used in this project. (The intention is that the document may be used as a comprehensive compilation of research in this field.) A study was conducted to determine potential commercial aircraft flight deck applications and implementation guidelines for voice recognition and synthesis. At first, a survey of voice recognition and synthesis technology was undertaken to develop a working knowledge base. Then, numerous potential aircraft and simulator flight deck voice applications were identified and each proposed application was rated on a number of criteria in order to achieve an overall payoff rating. The potential voice recognition applications fell into five general categories: programming, interrogation, data entry, switch and mode selection, and continuous/time-critical action control. The ratings of the first three categories showed the most promise of being beneficial to flight deck operations. Possible applications of voice synthesis systems were categorized as automatic or pilot selectable and many were rated as being potentially beneficial. In addition, voice system implementation guidelines and pertinent performance criteria are proposed. Finally, the findings of this study are compared with those made in a recent NASA study of a 1995 transport concept.

Progress report of fellowship recipient describing the synthesis and results of biological testing of a hydroxamate based RGD peptide. The primary cause of death from breast cancer is the progression to metastatic disease. Two biological events that are essential for metastasis are the invasion of tumors to secondary sites and the growth of new blood vessels into the metastatic tumors. Both processes require a cell adhesion receptor called the alpha-v beta-3 integrin. This receptor is expressed on metastatic breast cancer cells, where it has a role in mediating their migration to secondary sites. There is now great interest in applying small molecule antagonists of alpha-v beta-3 to prevent tumor progression and metastatic disease. This study is the preliminary test of a novel chemical approach toward the design of antagonists of the alpha-v beta-3 integrin.

The research program described here was designed to contribute to the evaluation of high T (sub c) superconducting materials for usefulness in electronic circuitry. The experimental techniques emphasized in this plan included electron tunneling and the use of intense magnetic fields to obtain information about the electronic properties of thin films of these materials. The superconductors studied included BiSrCaCuO, NdCeCuO, and BaKBiO. Thin films were formed by pulsed laser ablation, magnetron sputtering, and molecular beam epitaxy. In addition to obtaining electronic transport and tunneling data on these materials, a technique was found to make high-quality superconductor- insulator-superconductor tunnel junctions using artificial grain boundaries. This technique is the only one thus far discovered for making all-thin-film quasiparticle tunnel junctions reliably from high T (sub c) materials.

TV (LLTV and ACTV) and IR (FLIR) sensors, as real-time imaging systems for night operations, have become competitive for many applications. While both systems provide TV-type displays for an operator to view and are used in a similar manner, their uncommon backgrounds (evolutions) have resulted in different descriptive parameters and specifications. This report describes the two types of systems in a parallel manner and language so that persons familiar with TV can better understand IR and vice versa. The sources of signal information; i.e., differences in reflectivity for the TV and differences in temperature for the IR are covered so as to provide a better understanding of the differences and similarities of the inputs. The man as the final element of the system is discussed using the theory that the operator is a spatial and temporal integrator. Then with the approach of Otto Schade, Sr., and the result of the psychophysical tests of the coauthor, Rosell, the systems are analyzed and performance prediction equations are derived. While a detection/recognition theory for predicting results against objects of general interest is presented, the three bar object is the basic object for performance definition and detection/recognition theory development.

Synthesis observations of netural hydrogen emission in the two spiral galaxies NGC 6946 and IC 342 are presented. The velocity resolution is 21 km/s and the angular resolution is 2 and 4 min of arc for NGC 6946 and IC 342 respectively. Results are presented in the form of contour maps of the integral and mean velocity of the HI profile at each position in the galaxy, as well as a line profile for each galaxy as a whole. Both galaxies evidence a central depression in their HI distributions. The rotation curves have steep central gradients with rather constant velocities once the maximal velocity is reached. The HI mass for NGC 6946 is 21 billion solar mass units and for IC 342 is 15 billion solar mass units, assuming distances of 10.1 and 4.5 Mpc respectively. Other properties are summarized in the table.

The effect of planting time viz., 1st September, 1st October, 1st November and 1st December and levels of nitrogen i.e., 0.0 kg /ha, 80 kg/ha, 130 kg/ha and 180 kg/ha on growth, yield parameters of gaillardia was investigated. Among the planting time, October planting significantly increased plant height, number of branches, number of leaves per plant, induced early emergence of flower bud to full blooming of flowers, longer duration of flowering, improved flower fresh and dry weight and enhanced flower yield in terms of number of flowers per plant and flower weight per plant. Among different levels of nitrogen, significantly early bud emergence to full blooming of flowers and flower longevity on plant and fresh and dry weight of ten flowers was observed with 130 Kg N/ha. Thus, among all treatment combinations, the October planting with 130 Kg nitrogen per hectare proved superior in terms of growth, flowering and yield attributes viz. plant height, number of branches and leaves per plant, duration of flowering, number of flowers per plant and weight of flowers per plant.

In this research, titanium dioxide ( TiO 2 ), as a metal-oxide semiconductor that can be applied in dye-sensitized solar cells as a photoanode, was studied and synthesized. For this reason, thin films of TiO 2  were grown using the spray pyrolysis method and their physical properties were studied. To prepare the FTO substrate as the conductive layer, the FTO layer was deposited on the glass substrate. The transmittance above 90% in the visible region and low electrical resistance allows the use of the synthesized FTO as a transparent electrode. Subsequently, TiO 2  films were coated using spray pyrolysis at the temperature of 150°C on top of both bare glass and FTO coated glass substrates. The precursor solution for spray was made of TTIP as the main material and isopropanol as solvent. Samples were prepared by two methods of pulsed and non-pulsed spraying in two volumes of precursor solution of 200 and 350 mL. Results showed that the pulsed deposited samples cause the formation of TiO 2  films with higher crystal quality. XRD pattern analysis revealed the formation of the anatase crystal phase with preferred growth along the (101) plane on the FTO substrate. Considering its physical characteristics, the TiO 2  sample deposited on FTO in a precursor solution volume of 200 mL by the pulsed method was introduced as the most suitable sample for being used as a photoanode.

This doctoral project aims to unravel the process by which the suicidal narrative is configured, using a qualitative multiperspective approach. It integrates the meanings attributed by individuals who have attempted suicide, their support networks, and the healthcare professionals responsible for their care, within the context of OECD member countries. Departing from biomedical reductionism, this research is grounded in a relational, narrative, and structural conception of suicide – acknowledging its profound symbolic dimension and roots in contexts of invisible suffering and social exclusion. The methodological design is structured in two sequential phases. Phase 1 is an interpretative qualitative meta-synthesis (following Sandelowski & Barroso) that integrates findings from prior qualitative or mixed-method studies through reflexive thematic analysis (Braun & Clarke), supported by ATLAS.ti software. We apply PRISMA 2020, ENTREQ, and COREQ guidelines, selecting high-quality studies (≥9/10 JBI criteria). A comprehensive literature search in PubMed, CINAHL, PsycINFO, Scopus, and WoS is conducted, with dual independent screening targeting ≥95% inter-reviewer agreement and Cohen’s κ ≥0.80 for reliability. This phase will yield a robust theoretical map and interpretative base to inform the empirical phase. Phase 2 adopts a systematic Grounded Theory approach (Strauss & Corbin) under a constructivist-hermeneutic paradigm. In-depth interviews and focus groups will be conducted with the three stakeholder groups (patients, support persons, clinicians), following an abductive logic and using open, axial, and selective coding. Constant comparison will continue until theoretical saturation, incorporating participant validation workshops, methodological triangulation, external auditing, and reflexive memoing. Analysis will be assisted by CAQDAS and carried out under the ethical principles set by the Sant Pau Clinical Research Ethics Committee. This integrated design ensures that empirical findings dialogue with the systematically reviewed knowledge. We expect to produce a comprehensive model of the suicidal narrative configuration process – conceptualized as a constellation of affective, identity-related, structural, and relational meanings. This innovative insight will lay the groundwork for new interpretative frameworks, humanize healthcare approaches, strengthen prevention strategies, and inform the design of person-centered public policies.

The [N(CH3)4]2[IO2F3] salt was characterized by Raman, infrared, and 19F solid-state MAS NMR spectroscopy. Geometry optimization and calculation of the vibrational frequencies at the DFT level of theory corroborated the experimental finding that the IO2F3(2-) anion exists as a single isomer with a cis-dioxo and mer-trifluoro arrangement. The fluorine atom in IO2F3(2-) that is trans to one of the oxygen atoms is very weakly bound with a calculated bond length of 228.1 pm. The IO2F3(2-) anion is only the second example of an AEO2F3 species after XeO2F3(-).

Cyanic acid synthesis from methane and ammonia by fixed-bed catalyst method

The synthesis and chemistry of compounds in which two transition metal centers are bridged by a single nitrogen atom, the bridging nitride, has been investigated. These studies have focused on understanding the chemical and physical properties of the M(N)M unit in order to explore its use as a building block for new. The approach to this chemistry has involved parallel exploration of molecular nitride-bridged species, which serve as model systems for developing the chemistry of these compounds, and of extended structures incorporating metal-nitrogen-metal-linkages. Supporting studies on the preparation and reactivity of silylimido precursor compounds, which are used in the synthetic route to nitride-bridged structures, have also been performed.

The thermal analysis system and tube furnace have been used to conduct initial studies on the conversion of alkoxysiloxy derivatives to metal silicate solid state materials. These results, pertaining titanium, zirconium, and hafnium, are described. Interest in low-temperature chemical routes to ceramic materials is based largely on the potential for generating metastable structures with unusual properties, or on development of improved processing methods. The sol-gel method in particular has attracted attention as a low temperature route to oxides. This method can be extended to the synthesis of mixed metal oxides, however the formation of homogeneous materials can be complicated by differences in hydrolysis rates for the starting metal compounds. Sol-gel processes have been utilized to produce titanium oxides or zirconium oxides containing silicates in the form of thin films, fibers, or monoliths. Materials of this type find applications that take advantage of their optical properties, chemical inertness, high melting points, insulating properties, and fracture toughness.

Compounds containing both S and P, giving good anticorrosion and detergency properties to lubricating oils and having good compatibility with other additives, were prepared by treating dialkyl dithiophosphates ((RO)2P(S) SH) with unsaturated compounds, e.g. MeCN, Me methacrylate, or vinyl acetate to give trialkyl dithiophosphates. They were also prepared by polymerizing paraffin or kerosene thermal cracking products, the residue from petroleum cracking, low molecular weight polymers, or isobutylene, treating the polymers with P2S5, and converting the products to their Ca, Ba, or Zn salts. A third method was by converting mixtures of dithiophosphate and dithiophosphonate diesters prepared from P2S5 and octyl alcohol, alkylphenols, and (or) polymer distillates to their An or Ba salts.

A mesoporous Al 2 O 3  sorbent was synthesized using sol-gel technology. The sorbent's phase composition was analyzed via X-ray diffractometry (XRD), while its surface morphology was studied using scanning electron microscopy methods. Textural characteristics were also investigated through the adsorption of toluene vapors on the sorbents with the help of Mak-Ben-Bakra's sensitive quartz spiral device. The specific surface area (SBET) of sorbents obtained at different temperatures was found to be 684,6 ± 10 m 2 /g, with a volume of pores (Vs) of 0,56 to 0,82 cm 3 /g and an average pore diameter of 12,4 ± 0,05 nm. X-ray microanalysis of the sorbents confirmed that their chemical composition corresponds to - Al 2 O 3 .

In the article the equilibrium constants were used to analyze the thermodynamic of the synthesis of Cl-C5 alcohols and verified the calculation results in line with the trends of theoretical analysis. Reducing temperature and raising the pressure is useful for CO conversion rate and the generation of Cl-C5 alcohols, as well as different molar ratio of H2/CO influence CO conversion rate. Eventually the optimum condition was confirmed. A new type of catalyst was developed, which can increase the yield of alcohols, then the theoretical analysis’s correctness are verified by the experimental data.

Two studies explored the nature of fourth- and fifth-grade students' abilities to synthesize information from multiple sources of text. The studies examined the ways in which elementary students approached a synthesis activity that involved reading two well-organized and related nonfiction articles, and then drawing upon that information as they wrote reports that synthesized and expanded upon the information. In the first study, fourth- and fifth-graders from two classrooms in an urban, neighborhood school were given passages about rock climbing and caving, or about polo and field hockey. They read and then wrote reports that drew on both topics. Results supported the existence of six inhibiting strategies: (1) using associative memory or recall of information from the sources; (2) audience insensitivity, seen in the number of students not setting a context for their paper; (3) overemphasizing background knowledge (digressing from topics); (4) copying from text in strategic (verbatim or paraphrasing) or random (verbatim) patterns; (5) narrowly identifying relevant information; and (6) writing a story. In the second study, students whose syntheses exhibited similar patterns were interviewed to determine their task impressions and how they had sought to achieve their goals. Findings suggested that despite any apparent lack of success in the ability to synthesize, most students appeared to be strategic in their approach. Their difficulties arose not from an inability to synthesize but from a different conception of the purpose of the activity itself. The development of sectoral training systems in two economic sectors--the printing industry and the sector of health care in hospitals--was examined in a study that entailed parallel research projects in five European countries: Belgium, Latvia, The Netherlands, Norway, and the United Kingdom. The study was based on the assumption that the development of sectoral training systems entails four processes: articulation of sectoral (training) agencies and bodies; negotiation of training agreements; creation of training policies and provisions; and implementation of training policies and programs at the firm level. Sectoral training systems were generally more clearly developed in the printing sector. Printing sector training systems were highly developed in Norway, Belgium, and the Netherlands. In the United Kingdom, the established social partner-led training system that was broken down by the liberal government in the 1980s has recently been reconstructed through the conclusion of joint training agreements and the establishment of a joint training council. In all five countries, sectoral-level training was less articulated in the hospital sector. The research model was deemed a workable device for description and analysis of developments in the two sectors studied. (Contains 15 references) (MN)

This article is from Biomatter , volume 3 . Abstract Bioactive glass is one of the widely used bone repair material due to its unique properties like osteoconductivity, osteoinductivity and biodegradability. In this study bioactive glass is prepared by the sol gel process and stabilized by a novel method that involves a solvent instead of the conventional calcinations process. This study represents the first attempt to use this method for the stabilization of bioactive glass. The bioactive glass stabilized by this ethanol washing process was characterized for its physicochemical and biomimetic property in comparison with similar composition of calcined bioactive glass. The compositional similarity of the two stabilized glass powders was confirmed by spectroscopic and thermogravimetric analysis. Other physicochemical characterizations together with the cell culture studies with L929 fibroblast cells and bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells proved that the stabilization was achieved with the retention of its inherent bioactive potential. However an increase in the surface area of the glass powder was obtained as a result of this ethanol washing process and this add up to the success of the study. Hence the present study exhibits a promising route for high surface area bioactive glass for increasing biomimicity.

Zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) is regarded in this study as a simple and low-cost alternative catalyst for the isomerization of glucose and the production of 5-hydroxymethyl furfural (HMF). Two methods of preparing ZIF-8 catalysts were investigated: room temperature and hydrothermal synthesis at 140 °C. The hydrothermal synthesis method yields a material with a very large surface area (1967 m2g-1). When used as a catalyst, the ZIF-8 materials produced excellent fructose yields. ZIF-8 prepared by hydrothermal synthesis had a fructose selectivity of 65% and a glucose conversion of 24% at 100 °C in aqueous reaction medium. The selectivity dropped dramatically when the reactions were repeated at higher temperatures (140 °C). Surprisingly, higher temperatures resulted in higher levels of mannose production. Due to a lack of strong Brnsted acidity, ZIF-8 materials had low HMF yields. Despite the excellent performance of ZIF-8 catalysts in batch reactions, their activity did not translate well to the flow reactor during an 8-hour continuous run with a residence time of 6 minutes. The activity of ZIF-8 in the flow reactor at 100 °C was halved in 3 hours, implying that the catalyst's stability was not maintained in the long run.

The indium(I) compound, In(C5H4CMe3), has been prepared from the corresponding lithium cyclopentadienyl reagent Li(C5H4CMe3) and InC1 in OEt2. Characterization data have included partial elemental analyses (C,H), physical properties, IR, 1H NMR and mass spectroscopic data, oxidation reactions with dilute aqueous HC1 and a single-crystal X-ray structural study. The colorless crystal of In(C5H4CMe3) consists of infinite zigzag chains. There are no interstrand In...In interactions.

This report summarizes the factors that were commonly noted across five high achieving elementary schools in Colorado: (1) Burlington; (2) Canyon Creek; (3) Soaring Eagles; (4) South Lakewood; and (5) Tavelli. After 10 days of onsite visits to participating schools, noteworthy commonalities surfaced across the schools. Policies, practices, and procedures of effective schools identified in prior studies and literature were also present and prevalent in the schools participating in the current study. How they established and implemented effective practices and procedures were also common across the schools. During the course of the study, the following trends were compelling across the five schools: Relationships are Valued (Culture and Climate, Leadership Standard); Time is Invested and Protected (Leadership Standard); Performance Monitoring is Purposeful, Frequent, and Effectively Used (Assessment of and for Learning Standard); Decisions are Student-Centered (Leadership, Culture and Climate Standard); Expectations are Set High, Made Explicit, Frequently Expressed, and Consistently Applied (Leadership, Culture and Climate Standard); Learning is Purposefully and Meaningfully Structured (Standards and Instructional Planning Standard); Staff intentionally Uses Common Language for Consistent Messaging (Leadership, Culture and Climate Standard); and Capitalizing on Available Resources (Leadership, Best First Instruction, Culture and Climate Standard).

Living evidence refers to the methodological processes that permit new research findings to be continually incorporated into evidence synthesis. This approach is of great value in the resolution of relevant and rapidly changing clinical questions. To date, the methods to carry out this type of synthesis are not completely defined, and great variability is observed in the approaches used by different groups of authors. To identify, evaluate and summarise the current methods used for living evidence synthesis. We will conduct a methodological study based on a systematic literature search to identify any type of evidence synthesis such as systematic reviews, network metanalyses and overviews that used “living evidence synthesis” as part of their methods. The search will be conducted in Medline (via PubMed) and Epistemonikos databases. Additionally, we will search websites of the organisations publishing any living evidence synthesis retrieved in the two databases, in order to identify unpublished subsequent reports. Two reviewers will independently assess each article against the selection criteria, extract data on methods and procedures, and assess the methodological quality of each publication. Data will be analysed descriptively.

An experimental and theoretical study on the structure and energetics of stellated gold clusters at several sizes is presented. Systematic molecular dynamics simulations on Kepler-Poisont classi- ?ed clusters are performed based on cubo-octahedral and icosahedral cores, following present and previous studies that suggest stellated clusters grew up from these seeds. For cluster sizes up to 10802 atoms full atomistic molecular dynamics simulations at room temperature have been carried out. Results show that stellated clusters in the bigger size regime maintain their star-like shape at room temperature, and by means of linear ?tting of energy data to proper function models, it is predicted that the two type of stellated structures might coexist at room temperature for relatively large sizes, being these ?ndings in good agreement with experimental results.

Abstract Background: The currently available antifungal drugs suffer from toxicity, greatest potential drug interactions with other drugs, insufficient pharmacokinetics properties, and development of resistance. Thus, development of new antifungal agents with optimum pharmacokinetics and less toxicity is urgent task. In the search for new azole antifungals, we have been previously described azolylchromanone oxime ethers as rigid analogs of oxiconazole. In continuation of our work, we incorporated phenylhydrazone moiety instead of oxime ether fragment in azolylchromanone derivatives. Methods: The 3-azolyl-4-chromanone phenylhydrazones were synthesized via ring closure of 2-azolyl-2'-hydroxyacetophenones and subsequent reaction with phenylhydrazine. The biological activity of title compounds was evaluated against different pathogenic fungi including Candida albicans, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Aspergillus niger, and Microsporum gypseum. Docking study, in silico toxicity risks and drug-likeness predictions were used to better define of title compounds as antifungal agents. Results: The in vitro antifungal activity of compounds based on MIC values revealed that all compounds showed good antifungal activity against C. albicans, S. cerevisiae and M. gypseum at concentrations less than 16 μg/mL. Among the test compounds, 2-methyl-3-imidazolyl derivative 3b showed the highest values of drug-likeness and drug-score. Conclusion: The 3-azolyl-4-chromanone phenylhydrazones considered as analogs of 3-azolyl-4-chromanone oxime ethers basically designed as antifungal agents. The antifungal activity of title compounds was comparable to that of standard drug fluconazole. The drug-likeness data of synthesized compounds make them promising leads for future development of antifungal agents.

This article is from Scientific Reports , volume 4 . Abstract Hydroxyapatite (HAP) is a biocompatible ceramic that is currently used in a number of current biomedical applications. Recently, nanometre scale forms of HAP have attracted considerable interest due to their close similarity to the inorganic mineral component of the bone matrix found in humans. In this study ultrafine nanometre scale HAP powders were prepared via a wet precipitation method under the influence of ultrasonic irradiation. The resulting powders were compacted and sintered to form a series of ceramic pellets with a sponge-like structure with varying density and porosity. The crystalline structure, size and morphology of the powders and the porous ceramic pellets were investigated using advanced characterization techniques. The pellets demonstrated good biocompatibility, including mixed cell colonisation and matrix deposition, in vivo following surgical implantation into sheep M. latissimus dorsi.

In this paper, a comparative and comprehensive study of synthesizing linear antenna array (LAA) designs, is presented. Different desired objectives are considered in this paper; reducing the maximum sidelobe radiation pattern (i.e., pencil-beam pattern), controlling the first null beamwidth (FNBW), and imposing nulls at specific angles in some designs, which are accomplished by optimizing different array parameters (feed current amplitudes, feed current phase, and array elements positions). Three different optimization algorithms are proposed in order to achieve the wanted goals; grasshopper optimization algorithms (GOA), ant lion optimization (ALO), and a new hybrid optimization algorithm based on GOA and ALO. The obtained results show the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed algorithms to achieve the wanted targets. In most experiments, the proposed algorithms outperform other well-known optimization methods, such as; Biogeography based optimization (BBO), particle swarm optimization (PSO), firefly algorithm (FA), cuckoo search (CS) algorithm, genetic algorithm (GA), Taguchi method, self-adaptive differential evolution (SADE), modified spider monkey optimization (MSMO), symbiotic organisms search (SOS), enhanced firefly algorithm (EFA), bat flower pollination (BFP) and tabu search (TS) algorithm.

In the present work, a systematic investigation of Tellurium based ternary chalcogenide semi-conducting materials Se-Te-Ga has been undertaken. The system has been studied in detail with emphasis on the effect of Gallium in Se-Te binary components. Bulk glasses of Se-Te-Ga systems and thin films are prepared by the conventional melt quenching technique and by thermal evaporation technique, respectively. Green chemistry alternatives are vital components in forestalling the risks posed by the hazardous environmental outcomes resulting from traditional synthesis that employ varying chemicals and solvents. This approach is pivotal in our mission to safeguard the planet from the adverse ecological effects of chemical-based processes.

Preparation of two-dimensional nanostructures of WTe 2  and MoTe 2  by chemical solution synthesis methods is of great importance. In different synthesis methods, different precursors and concentrations are used. In this paper, we used the chemical reduction reaction method from solution for our analysis. Binary compounds of WO 3  - TeO 2  and MoO 3  - TeO 2  were prepared in two processes with reduction agents: (a) sodium borohydrate (NaBH 4 ) and (b) hydrazine in the presence of nitrogen gas. The structural and optical properties of the nanopowders were studied after chemical reduction. The results of X-ray diffraction (XRD) showed that in the WO 3  - TeO 2  binary compound, after chemical reduction with NaBH 4 , the diffraction peaks of the TeO 2  and WO 3  binary compounds formed independently and after annealing in the presence of hydrazine, and the intensity of the peaks has been significantly increased. Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM) images showed that the morphology of the nanoparticles was uniform in the form of spherical nanoparticles. In the combination of MoO 3  - TeO 2  with chemical reduction, other phases of Te 2 O 5  and TeMo 5 O 16  are formed in the shape of hemispheres, rods and polyhedrals, which indicates the formation of composite phases. The chemical bond structure and energy gap of samples were studied by FT-IR and UV-Vis spectroscopy .

All organizations inevitably must deal with various critical situations. This requires providing the necessary resilience-building infrastructure and facilities. A review of the research literature reveals that scholars have examined factors affecting Organizational Resilience (OR) from different perspectives. This paper aims to compile and synthesize qualitative findings of previous research to gain an in-depth understanding and provide a list of effacing factors to organizations on their improvement practices related to OR. In conducting a systematic literature review, 98 articles were selected for final analysis. The data were analyzed, summarized, and synthesized in a step-by-step coding process, where 14 themes were identified as factors influencing OR. The identified factors included flexibility, control, redundancy and resources, planning and preparedness, decision-making, social capital, resilience policymaking, organizational culture, staff, financial and economic viability, collaboration, customers and markets, modernization discourse, and learning. Through a meta-synthesis of qualitative findings, this study is one of the first to form a novel perspective for offering a holistic understanding of affecting factors that provide evidence to support improvement practices in OR.
