23rdto27thapril2014_eating_appletree_blossom_leaves_from:the:ground and making newspaper indoor shoes with golden mushy hair replenishing visualsation audio support meditation i am progressing not too bad with my hair thinning stopping campaign ... talking a lot about it with collegues, some times researching, mostly belitteling myself or coming to the realisation of my true motives ... for example today i said ... if i fail with stopping the hair thinning and would eventually get bald, that would be a "makel" ... and a person with a makel is not a best example. there were times when i looked at an author and did not read the text if i found this person would have a visible sign of a weakness. but then ... i have lost half of my teeth and have allready lost hair ... even if i would achieve a halt of the hair thinning and would not get bald... there would have been times when i was not taking the highest care of my bodies emotional, physical, mental ... and so i must be honest and see clearly that i am not in the highest ranks playing for moral integrity and achievements fullfillment of what i theoreticly know. but then again, what is not, could be once a day in the future. eventually teeth could regrow, eventually hair can regrow ... if not me, then someone else has or will demonstrate it. so this is not about me failing or rising, not about me getting bronze or gold medal or rank 8 or 9 ... it is about principles. everyone is allowed to treat the body as one feels suiting ... if one wants to give in to genetic dispositions and not help correction with the highest possible lifestyle .... balanced well enjoyed chewed food, relaxation, contentness and harmony with all surroundings ... but one chooses to eat highly artificially saturated pommes chips like i did perhaps 400 times during the last 5 years ... smoking 18 000 cigarettes during the last 1800 days of my life.... and so forth ... i have done well this weeks some time ... have laid in the grass at the churchyard under the appletree, found out how tasty the young white petals of the blossoms taste, some of them juicy thick and shiny ... today it was raining when i drove from my home to the community center beside the churchyard ... and then i had this idea to improvise socks from newspapers .... the whole following day i could wear the newspaper socks, it was comfortable and i will perhaps repeat the experiment when driving home in the evening there came this idea of a visualisation ... my hair follicels, the roots of my hair bathing in a flowing river of nutritients, strong and long and thick hair like shiva ... where the river ganga flows out of it ...

Students often struggle with how to translate textbook concepts into real-world applications that allow them to personally experience the importance of these concepts. This is an ongoing challenge within all disciplines in higher education. To address this, faculty design their courses using methods beyond traditional classroom lectures to facilitate and reinforce student learning. The authors believe that students who are given hands-on problem-solving opportunities are more likely to retain such knowledge and apply it outside the classroom, in the workplace, volunteer activities, and other personal pursuits. In an attempt to engage students and provide them with meaningful opportunities to apply course concepts, the authors have initiated a number of experiential learning methods in the classroom. Since fall of 2008, elements of problem-based learning were integrated in the authors' business courses. Specifically, real-world consulting projects were introduced into their classrooms. This paper focuses on the authors' experiences implementing problem-based learning processes and practical project assignments that actively engage students in the learning process. The experiences and the feedback gathered from students and executives who participated in the "real-world" project are reported in this paper. (Contains 4 tables.)

In The Outline of Science, Thomson gives us a window into scientific thinking as it stood in 1922 on the big, the little, and the biological. With straightforward language intended for a general audience, this book covers astronomy from the Solar System to the Milky Way, the submicroscopic makeup of matter from protons and electrons, and the evolution of simple living beings into the varied fauna of the world today. Thomson cites many examples that would have been familiar to his readers of the day and notes where scientific understanding leaves off and conjecture begins. He clearly shows how the accumulation of observation and experiment stacked up to form the body of knowledge reported in the book. For even the scientifically well-versed, there will be interesting nuggets, for investigation into how the world came to be as it was, was both wide and deep. <br/><br/> To a modern listener, what was not known may be as interesting as what was. With the 100-inch Mt. Wilson reflector the largest telescope in the world, the existence of galaxies outside the Milky Way was suspected but not confirmed. Neutrons, soon to become important in the field of nuclear energy and atomic bombs, were as yet unguessed-at, yet the prospect of liberating the immense energy of the atom was already a keen interest. Although the famous Michaelson-Morley experiment had already been seen as disproof of an all-pervading "ether" which facilitated the flow of energy across empty space, scientists still retained ether as a place-holder for properties they could measure but not explain - an approach very similar to the "dark matter" of modern cosmology.<br/><br/> Regardless of your personal sentiments on Darwin's theory of evolution, Thomson provides well-chosen examples that illustrate why this theory arose. He examines not only the fossil record but the evidences present in modern living beings that the process of evolution is by no means finished, but ongoing. <br/><br/> Even at that time, Thomson worried over the future of energy sources. "Believing as I do that James Thomson is, since Shelley, the most brilliant genius who has wielded a pen in the service of Freethought, I take a natural pride and pleasure in rescuing the following articles from burial in the great mausoleum of the periodical press. There will doubtless be a diversity of opinion as to their value. One critic, for instance, has called “The Story of a Famous Old Jewish Firm” a witless squib; but, on the other hand, the late Professor Clifford considered it a piece of exquisite mordant satire worthy of Swift. Such differences are inevitable from the very nature of the subject. Satire, more than any other form of composition, rouses antipathy where it does not command applause; and the greater the satire, the more intense are the feelings it excites." (G. W. The Seasons is a series of four long poems in blank verse by the Scottish poet James Thomson, each poem describing one of the four seasons. The poems are replete with various scenes of nature described with loving detail, as well as Thomson's view of the proper relationship between humans and nature, which anticipates the attitudes of the Romantics. "Spring," which was published in 1728, first brought Thomson to mainstream attention. He followed it up with "Summer," "Winter," and "Autumn," publishing all four as The Seasons in 1730. It is in large part because of the reputation he garnered from the publication of The Seasons that the critic William Hazlitt called Thomson "the best and most original of our descriptive poets." While primarily known for being pessimistic, the poetry of James Thomson (1834-1882) is also beautiful and psychologically complex. This 1903 edition, varying as it does in selection from the edition of the same name published during his lifetime, provides a representative look at what has come to be known as his best works. The title poem is a horror-laced journey through depths that are surface level supernatural and at their heart an exploration of depression and atheist existential crisis.
