The paper analysis the strategies and concepts developed in the world in modern directions: innovative economy, digital economy, artificial intelligence, Industry 4.0 and others. The problem is to determine the initial fundamental parameters of order and their prospects in the global world, the definition and principles of artificial intelligence systems (AIS), its structure and important aspects and principles of future science and technology in analysis and synthesis based on synergetic approaches, innovative, information, converged technologies, taking into account the design of future and viable and safe and sustainable development in the context of Industry 4.0, digital economy (DE) and Society 5.0. The general scheme of the integrated model of sustainable and socio-humanitarian development in the global system is proposed, which the authors call the noosphere model of sustainable and safe development as an important fundamental platform for the design and creation of AIS. The main scientific and technological factors in the 21st century will be the development of: Artificial Intelligence, Nano Technologies, Bio-Media Technologies, Cognitive Technologies and Socio-Humanitarian Technologies. More specifically – this is the modern development of Innovative Technologies: «NBIC SH». Therefore, it is necessary to note the importance of taking into account the principle of I2K2+SH, ie: Intellectualization, Integration, Convergence, Coevolution and Sociohumanitarian technologies. It is important and necessary to take into account modern principles of designing a sustainable and secure AIS and solving the problem of Harmonization between 2 worlds: Real and Virtual, especially in their hybridization. Our immediate future is a hybrid nonlinear world. Note that digitalization, artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics will be the main drivers of global economic growth by 2030E. An important paradigm and platform is the Integrated System: for Industry 4.0, DE and AI, taking into account the complex principle of I2K2+SH. If the transition of the Ukrainian economy to an innovative one does not take place in the next 3-5 years, Ukraine will remain in the backyard of civilization.

How might military practitioners incorporate social science concepts into the intelligence analytical framework to better define and understand the human dimension of an area of operation? Current military intelligence doctrine vaguely prescribes the analysis of the roles and interactions of humans in a complex operational environment. Whether soldiers are employing military force, conducting key leader engagements, or providing humanitarian assistance, the analytical process by which intelligence professionals develop assessments should be applicable across the full range of military operations. This paper uses the Institutional Analysis and Development (IAD) framework to integrate social science concepts into intelligence analysis to facilitate an understanding of the human domain in military operations. Evaluation of the operational environment using an analytical framework is critical to the intelligence analyst's work, and it provides the granularity that senior-level leaders need to formulate sound foreign policy. The framework is applied to a case study of the Massacre of Cibicue Creek in 1881. This historical case study takes Bill Yenne's Indians Wars: The Campaign for the American West account of the arrest of Noche-del-Klinne, a medicine man, and the subsequent fighting between Apache indians and the 6th U.S. Cavalry. The IAD framework provides contextual understanding of the events that took place in Cibicue between late August and early September 1881 from a Chiricahua Apache perspective.

This conceptual and practical paper is integrating the work of Viktor Frankl (1985) and Steven Reiss (2000, 2008) into a model of Existential and Motivational Analysis (EMotiAn). This integrated model and approach may provide scholars, educators, consultants and practitioners alike with an innovative and meaningful framework for leadership and leadership development. First, it will be discussed how the two approaches to motivation presented by Frankl and Reiss may serve as a basis for leadership and leadership development. In particular, the paper will show how the Sources of Meaning Profile (SOMP; Reker, 1996), a scientifically developed instrument based on Frankl's work, allows individuals to identify and prioritize areas of meaningful engagement and value actualization. Furthermore, it will demonstrate how the Reiss Motivational Profile (RMP) and the respective strivings and values of an individual may allow for a "balanced" evaluation and coaching process. Both, the SOMP and the RMP-strivings and values, are integrated into a coherent leadership and (self-) leadership development model based on an Existential and Motivational Analysis (EMotiAn). Finally, the application of the EMotiAn will be described presenting the case of the coaching client Sam Someone.

DGIS CCL Development began with C language prototyping to study its feasibility and issues. The study raised the potential of employing Artificial Intelligence, and DGIS CCL is now proceeding on two levels. The first level in incorporating Artificial Intelligence as a means to handle the heterogeneous universe of diverse information systems. This is done with PROLOG, using its logic programming capabilities for structuring knowledge base and blackboard architectures. As a part of the hypermedia application, integration with media peripherals such as CD-ROM databases will also be included.

In Indonesia, rainfall is one crucial triggering factor for landslides. This paper aims to build landslide event prediction models using several machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms. The algorithms were trained with two different methods. The input of the algorithms was precipitation data obtained from the global satellite mapping of precipitation satellite observation, and the target was landslide event occurrence data obtained from the Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management. Each algorithm provided some model candidates with different parameter settings for each method. As a result, there were 52 and 72 model candidates for both methods. The best model was then chosen from each method. The result shows that the model generated by generalized linear model was the best model for the first method and deep learning for the second one. Furthermore, the best models at each method gained 0.828 and 0.836 for the area under receiver operating characteristics curve, and their log-loss were 0.156 and 0.154. The second method, which used input data transformation, provided better performance.

With increasing traffic, apart from the major traffic junctions, there are few smaller junctions which witness heavy traffic only during a certain period of the day. For such cases, deploying of conventional traffic lights are not a viable option. A cost-effective internet of things (IoT) enabled portable smart traffic signaling system is designed using ESP32 dual core microcontroller, to assist traffic personnel working at small traffic junctions. It uses a foldable mechanical structure which can be carried easily. The system is designed to work with and without internet connectivity depending on its functionality and place of deployment. The system can be preprogrammed with default time value to work without human intervention. Using an android application, the user can manually control the traffic signal by analysing the traffic density. System gathers the traffic density information based on the operations performed by the traffic personnel and stores it in the cloud. In Smart mode, system computes the mean value and also runs K-means clustering algorithm on the dataset to generate optimized time values. Comparison of the data generated using manual and automatic modes infer the credibility of the system in generating optimized time values and reducing human effort.

The goal is to develop and validate two scales to assess AI use on online assessments. First, we will validate a scale meant to capture unauthorized AI use (AI cheating) on an online assessment. Second, we will validate a broader AI use scale that is meant to capture the precise ways that applicants can use AI to complete an open-ended, online assessment. We will validate the scales by conducting linear regressions to examine whether they relate to theoretically-relevant variables (convergent validity and nomological network) and do not relate to theoretically-irrelevant variables (discriminant validity).

Laying the foundation for the reestablishment of the Salt Lake City Fire Department s intelligence program requires several steps: Establishing a need; identifying the stakeholders; developing an implementation and sustainment plan based on the key constructs of successful collaboration; and providing a continued mechanism for evaluation and adjustment. Distilling the constructs of collaboration into a key component of success will provide additional focus to the development and implementation process. The questions this thesis answers are, can trust be identified as a significant factor in successful, collaborative working relationships? And if so, how can focusing on developing trust add value and sustainment potential to the SLCFD intelligence gathering use and dissemination program? The research uses appreciative inquiry in combination with multiple case studies, examining elements of successful and unsuccessful collaborative efforts in the arena of the fire service and national security. This thesis investigates the rise and fall of the Salt Lake City Fire Department s national security effort for the time period spanning pre-2002 Olympics to 2014. Components responsible for the diminished involvement since the Olympics are examined, evaluating each based on the role of trust. The nexus between those constructs and trust is the foundation for the recommendations for rebuilding the Salt Lake City Fire Department intelligence program. Developing strong, trusting relationships and addressing the concerns of all stakeholders are identified as key components in the successful case studies. Trust has been identified as the underpinning to the recommendations for the redevelopment of an intelligence program in the Salt Lake City Fire Department.

Reported are the proceedings and recommendations of a research conference to improve the development and utilization of intelligence tests for use with blind adults in social and vocational rehabilitation. The following tests are considered: A Haptic Intelligence Scale for the Adult Blind, the Raven Progressive Matrices for Presentation to the Blind, a Test Battery for Use with the Blind--the Vocational Intelligence Scale for the Adult Blind, and the Stanford-Ohwaki-Kohs Tactile Block Design Intelligence Test for the Blind. One purpose of the conference is explained to be the provision of knowledge of the nature of the tests in their current form. Selected recommendations of the conference are that the production and dissemination of the tests be expanded for more general use and that professional psychological examiners be trained to serve as participants in further development of the tests and as test administrators in rehabilitation settings. The conference is reported to have prepared a film and a slide presentation demonstrating each component of the tests. Appendixes give a list of conference participants and information about each test, which generally includes date of research, test developer, purpose, description, administration, and statistical excerpts. The purpose of this project was to inquire into the current status of development, past use, availability, and future planning of intelligence tests for the visually handicapped in relation to the fields of psychological, educational, and vocational counseling. The project procedure was that of a research utilization conference involving the authors of the tests, clinical examiners who use the tests, and representatives of agencies and professional groups who require the information provided through the tests. This report summarizes the data available on the tests as compiled at the conference. Test identification information is supplied in Appendix B to the report. Purpose: Howard Gardners' concept of multiple intelligence (MI) offers an alternative perspective on intelligence which highlights the importance of acknowledging learner diversity, individual talents and the development of human potentials. MI has been used as a basis for the construction of modular enrichment activities to facilitate the development of human potential among boarding school students. This study examines (1) the effects of such activities on students of different multiple intelligence profiles and (2) the teachers' views of the MI based module and activities. Methodology: The study employs a quasi-experimental design with pre- and post-tests administered before and after treatment of the modular enrichment activities. Two groups of students from two Mara Junior Science Colleges (MRSM) in Malaysia participated in the study as the control and treatment groups. McKenzie's multiple intelligences instrument was used as the pre- and post-test measure. A semi-structured interview protocol was used to obtain teachers' views of the enrichment activities. Findings: The study found that the MI post-test was favourable towards the treatment group. Students in the treatment group improved on each multiple intelligence profile compared with students in the control group. The qualitative analysis of the interview data revealed favourable responses from the teachers towards the modular enrichment activities and the inclusion of MI. Significance: This study highlights the importance of recognising that each student has his/her distinct potential. These differences can be captured through the construction of various enrichment activities that emphasise on the different multiple intelligences. The modular learning experience simplifies the process of teaching and learning. It enables students and teachers to understand the objectives to be achieved through diverse problem solving and creative production activities. It is hoped that through this study, educators and teachers will gain ideas about ways in which a MI perspective can help them to tap student potential.

There is growing recognition that health behavior changes are needed worldwide if population health is to improve. With the development of storage and computing power technologies, artificial intelligence promotes health behavior change interventions. Therefore, this study aims to examine the development and use of AI chatbots, and provide evidence about the usability/feasibility, efficacy, and effectiveness of AI chatbots for health behavior change (i.e., tobacco use, alcohol consumption, sleeping, physical activity, nutrition, weight management, sedentary behavior, and stress management) through a scoping review.

Preregistration of the study that will be reported in the paper “Latent profiles on the Intelligence and Development Scales – 2 and their relationship with classifications of dyslexia and ADHD”

This study aims to validate the Japanese version of the Attitude Towards Artificial Intelligence (ATAI) scale and investigate the psychological foundations of attitudes toward AI by examining their relationships with fundamental personality traits and emotional dispositions. Through this comprehensive validation approach, we seek to understand the underlying psychological mechanisms that shape how people perceive and respond to AI.

The project’s underlying goal is to investigate the influence of early social experiences on the development of children’s gendered beliefs about intelligence. Specifically examining whether the type of feedback parents provide to their children in the face of challenging tasks differs based on gender. Parent-child social interactions will be recorded as children attempt to solve challenging puzzles in a context highlighting high intellectual ability (i.e., brilliance; puzzles for “really really smart kids”). Parents’ failure feedback will be assessed to determine whether there is a difference in the messages children receive based on their gender. Further, parents’ and their children’s intelligence mindsets will be measured to explore potential associations between parents’ implicit beliefs about ability with the type of feedback they provide, and their children’s own beliefs about intelligence.

The relevance of the study lies in the fact that in the current conditions of geopolitical instability and rapid technological advancement, the use of artificial intelligence becomes an integral part of the country's development strategy. These technologies offer new opportunities for enhancing the defense, education, industry, science, medicine, and social welfare sectors. Considering this potential is crucial for implementing effective strategies for the recovery and development of Ukraine amidst modern challenges. Therefore, the aim of the study is a systemic analysis of the possibilities of applying artificial intelligence in key societal areas to identify strategic directions that will contribute to the recovery and further development of Ukraine. In particular, the research encompasses the realms of defense, education, industry, science, medicine, and social sphere. The results of this analysis serve as a basis for developing specific recommendations for the optimal implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in Ukraine, taking into account the specific conditions and needs of the country. The paper proposes concrete strategies and recommendations aimed at the optimal integration of these technologies into Ukrainian practice. Furthermore, the research considers the specific conditions and needs of Ukraine, making it practically applicable. These are important aspects in ensuring the reliability and security of artificial intelligence utilization in Ukraine. Overall, this work opens new horizons for the use of artificial intelligence in modern Ukraine, offering specific ways to improve the defense, education, industry, science, medicine, and social welfare sectors through the effective utilization of these technologies.

The inarticulate and lonely citizens of Winesburg, each with his or her own secret tale to tell, frequently relate those tales to, or through their interactions with, the character of George Willard, a young Winesburg citizen on the cusp of manhood with dreams of becoming a writer. Thus Winesburg tells the story of the townspeople's loneliness and alienation in parallel with the tale of George's own coming of age. The citizens of Winesburg are described obliquely as "grotesques," but as the introductory chapter makes clear, "The grotesques were not all horrible. Some were amusing, some almost beautiful . . ." Eamont was an opium clipper built in Cowes. It was the subject of an 1891 book, A cruise in an opium clipper, by Captain Lindsay Anderson. Eamont was involved in the opening of Japan to foreigners in 1858, serving as a dispatch boat between Nagasaki and Shanghai, and was one of the first vessels to open up a trade with Formosa…. The Eamont was sent on some very dangerous trips. She was one of the first vessels to open up a trade with Formosa, and made the first survey of the port of Taku, which she entered by bumping over the reef in spite of a tremendous surf beating upon it at the time, a most daring performance. And in her efforts to trade with the Formosans she had to withstand the attack of hundreds of armed natives right on top of a typhoon, which she succeeded in riding out on her moorings. On this occasion she ran into Nagasaki and quietly dropped anchor, in spite of the fact that opposition to the proposed commercial treaty was very strong at the time. On the following morning 150 boat-loads of Japanese attempted to tow her to sea, being evidently ignorant of an anchor's raison d'etre. But though they attempted several similar methods to get rid of her they refrained from any armed attack, and, eventually, her mission was completely successful. This was in 1858, and the Eamont's crew saw many wonderful sights in that tierra incognita. The September Typhoon of 1858 destroyed several well-known opium clippers at Double Island, including the Anonyma, Gazelle, Pantaloon, and Mazeppa. Eamont was anchored off Double Island, with "150 fathoms of chain out and a second anchor backed on it at 60 fathoms." The waves in the anchorage were estimated to be as large as 40 feet, and the Eamont’s crew had to cut away her masts. Following a business deal that forces his father-in-law out of his own company, McPherson and Sue Rainey separate. One day, once McPherson had become quite wealthy, he gets a telegram saying that Colonel Rainey committed suicide. This causes Sam to realize that he is unhappy with his life. This feeling inspires him to leave Chicago and travel all over becoming involved in various adventures. Finally, McPherson's comes across a promiscuous and alcoholic mother of three children. Earth has been conquered and is a subjugated planet, the much too humanoid new rulers now extract heavy taxes, control industry and reproduction and interfere in every aspect of life. Rumors of their brutality and vicious massacres increase every day. Obviously, they must be thrown out and rebellion seethes among the patriots. But on the other hand, others are not so eager to get rid of the overlords: the terrible nationalistic wars have been stopped, famine is long gone and health care is almost universally available. Still, the elite intellectual portion of the earth's population plot to remove the heavy heel of the oppressors from their necks and let earth be free again. But time and again the attempts for freedom have been crushed the Valgolians mainly because national, ethnic, religious and racial prejudices and hatred among the earthlings keep the conspirators from working together. Obviously, no conqueror wants his subjects to revolt against his rule. Obviously? This one would go to any lengths to start a rebellion!

A DOUBTER'S Doubts about Science and Religion was first published anonymously, at a time when the author was Assistant Commissioner of Police and Head of the Criminal Investigation Department, at Scotland Yard (London). As the book is addressed to men of the world, it speaks from the standpoint of scepticism — the true scepticism which tests everything, not the sham sort which credulously accepts anything that seems to discredit the Bible. If, for example, the Bible taught evolution, it may be averred that evolution would be scoffed by many who now cling to it with a childlike faith worthy of the infant class in the Sunday School.
