The Germanwings co-pilot suspected of deliberately crashing into the French Alps may have rehearsed the deadly dive on an earlier flight. A preliminary report released Wednesday says Andreas Lubitz repeatedly entered an altitude of 100 feet into the planes computer while on plane's first flight of the day from Dusseldorf to Barcelona. He did it five times after the pilot stepped out of the cockpit. On the return flight to Dusseldorf, Lubitz appears to have locked the captain out of the cockpit and intentionally put the plane in a slow dive until it crashed... killing all 150 people on board. He'd suffered from depression and a search of his home computer showed he did research on methods of suicide just a few days before the crash.

The National Transportation Safety Board's Clinton Johnson says the plane went missing on it's way back to Misty Fjords National Park Nine people have been found dead in a crash aboard a sightseeing plane in southeast Alaska. The plane crashed in rugged territory about 800 feet above a lake near Ketchikan and was found a few hours later. The victims had been sailing on the Westerdam ---A seven-day cruise that left Seattle Saturday. Johnson says a rescue team had a tough time recovering what's left at the site. He expects harsh weather will hold them up them again. A high level team's been sent to investigate how the plane flew into the cliff.

FBI to investigate Amtrak crash development A major development in the investigation of the Amtrak crash near Philadelphia. The FBI's examining damage to the train to see if it had been hit by an object or projectile. National Transportation Safety Board investigator Robert Sumwalt says the information comes from interviews with the train's engineer and assistant conductor. The conductor remembers hearing a radio conversation between the engineer and the engineer of another train nearby. The assistant conductor says her engineer also reported something similar Sumwalt says his team has \seen damage to the left hand lower portion of the Amtrak windshield.\ Investigators earlier interviewed engineer Brandon Bostian. He's told told investigators he has no recollection from the time the train went through a commuter rail station about three-miles from the curve where it crashed. He last remembered ringing the train's bell while passing by the North Philadelphia station. Bostian's lawyer says his client suffered a concussion in the wreck. He says Bostian hadn't been using his cell phone and hadn't been drinking or using drugs. The derailment of the Washington-to-New York train killed eight people and injured more than 200. Investigators say the train sped up from 70 mph to more than 100 mph in the minute before it went into the curve. The last wrecked cars from the derailment have been pulled from the scene. The railroad's making repairs to damaged tracks, signals and overhead power lines before resuming limited service between Philadelphia and New York Monday, with full service expected the following day. Authorities are looking into whether sun glare was a factor in an accident in which a ferry departing a Manhattan pier slammed into a group of kayakers, critically injuring one and knocking some into the Hudson River. A ferry's crashed into a group of kayakers in Manhattan and one person has been critically hurt.AP correspondent Julie Walker says investigators are looking into whether sun glare was a factor.

20 school children have been killed in a bus crash in South Africa. It is believed the vehicle carrying the children collided head-on with a truck on a road east of the capital Pretoria. Emergency services have been treating injured at the scene.
