Summary This is a building you can use for any sort of tabletop game where you need cover. I created this to be used in my Battletech war games Update V2. I had to make some adjustments to the paper slot and to the bottom of the roof. Also I found printing the base with a raft was helpful, and printing the roof without support worked in my first test. My first attempt with the base came off the print table, so when I setup the print I added a raft and that fixed it. You can use both a 3D printer and normal ink printer to create this building. An extra page is included if you do not have a 3D printer which has the roof on it. I would recommend thicker stock paper. Cut out the walls and fold on the lines as shown on the page. Leave the tabs on the end to overlap the walls when placing it into the 3D printed base. Once the walls are in place, place the roof over the walls. Shear walls are specially designed structural members provided in the multi storey buildings to resist lateral forces. These walls have very high in plane strength and stiffness, which can resist large horizontal forces and can support gravity loads. There are lots of literatures available to design and analyse the shear wall. However, what is the optimum location of shear wall in multi storey buildings are not discussed extensively in any literature. It is very necessary to determine effective, efficient and ideal location of shear wall to get effective performance of the buildings. In this paper, therefore, main focus is to determine the efficient and effective location of shear walls in multi storey buildings. In this paper, various models of G 10 storeyed building have been analysed by changing locations of shear walls for determining parameters like Base Shear, Lateral Displacement and Storey Drift. In this paper the Linear static method of analysis has been carried out on type II soil Medium soil sites for a regular structure in plan in zone V for all the frame models and various load combinations are applied using software ETABS.The presence of shear wall can affect the seismic behaviour of frame structure to large extent, and the shear wall increases the strength and lateral stiffness of the structure. It has been found that the model M 09 having shear walls at the centroid of the building in cross shape shape shows better location of shear wall. Video recorded July 6th, 2016. As the video opens in the netted courtyard of an apartment building, a bird can be seen sitting atop a ventilation unit on a lower roof. Another bird, on the left, is perched at a small opening in a wall between the third and fourth floors. The bird walks inside the opening to a nest, its tail feathers completely disappearing from view within the wall. The bird becomes partially visible again a few moments later as it peers out toward the other nearby bird below. Meanwhile, the bird from the ventilation unit on the lower roof flies to another opening lower in the same wall between the second and third floors. That bird also enters the wall and disappears from view, partially obscured by a fire escape slat. Of note is one of several other openings in the wall to the right which had been filled with what appears to be fiberglass insulation. The birds had pecked away and often consumed the material bit by bit, leaving a visible concave space at the front of the insulation after their repeated attempts to clear the opening to gain an additional nesting place. Loose bricks appear to have been placed within two other openings below, perhaps as an effort to prevent birds nesting inside the walls via those two openings. As the camera pans upward, another opening to a nest within the walls becomes visible. Multiple adult birds disappear into the wall through that opening on a regular basis. The nest inside currently houses two young birds still being provided for by their parents. The camera pans right and reveals a different bird grooming its feathers while perched on the railing of a fire escape. Brown protective paint is visible on the metal in this area of the fire escape despite decades of bird droppings landing on the paint. Earlier in the video, a different section of the same fire escape platform and railings can be seen to be almost entirely free of paint which had burned away in a fire from a lower unit in 2011. The fire escape has never been repainted. Both small areas of brown paint and areas of rust are visible on that section of the fire escape. Building management had recently notified tenants of a planned inspection of the building's fire escapes on Friday, June 17th, 2016 between 11am and 1pm. Despite the posted notice, no one appeared on, below or above this fire escape before, during or after the announced times that day. This fire escape had been blocked at the top by anti-bird netting for most of the prior fifteen years. San Francisco Animal Care and Control had recently ordered the building management to open the netting so that the birds nesting in the walls could leave to access food and water and also return to care for their young at which point the netting above this fire escape had been folded back to create an opening. Itâs The Weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 17th, 18th, and 19th 2009. Today we look at a way to protect ourselves from the attacks of the enemy. Our scripture text today comes from Nehemiah 4:20-23, and our topic is entitled Building Walls of Faith.

The performance of the fourteen storeyed Y shaped high rise reinforced concrete building in seismic zone 4 has been investigated using dynamic analysis with response spectrum. The building is designed with dual system containing special moment resisting frame SMRF and shear walls. Structural Engineering Software ETABS is used for analysis and design of building. The design of superstructure is checked for sliding resistance, overturning effect, P effect, storey drift and irregularity. Stability check for the structure without shear wall is satisfactory .But, building taller than 10 stories is not adequate to give the lateral stiffness from frame action. Building with core shear wall structure and planar shear walls are proposed. After analyzing and checking for the stability, the results of the three structures with and without shear walls are presented. Modular 15mm Building Basic Walls 1 These walls form part of my modular building series. Used on their own or with other parts of the series you can build a large variety of structures. You can use the pins provided in the downloads or 3mm x 1.5mm magnets to create structures that come apart and can be rebuilt in other ways or you can glue the parts together for fixed designs. The walls have supports built into the windows and doors that need to be removed or you could leave them in for prison structures. The United Kingdom does not yet have any lifelong learning pedagogies. The country has a stratified and segmented educational system, with little connection between those sectors that might be regarded as contributing to the concept of lifelong learning. The reasons for this lack of connections between sectors were examined during an 18-month study that included a literature review and resulted in identification of the following pedagogic "identities" assumed by adult educators: educator as critical practitioner; educator as psycho-diagnostician and facilitator of learning; educator as reflective practitioner; educator as situated learner within a community of practice; and educator as assurer of organizational quality and efficiency and deliverer of service to agreed or imposed standards. These identities were analyzed within the following conceptual dimensions: learning within a community versus individualized learning; disciplinary community versus pedagogic community; moral and social accountability versus organizational accountability; educator as "person in the world" versus anonymous/invisible educator; and student as "person in the world" versus anonymous/invisible learner. The analysis established that it is impossible to disentangle learners' situatedness from the educative process and that the split between adult education and higher education lies at least partly in the relationship between pedagogical theory and practice.
