This book is also intended for the LIS professionals working in libraries and information centres, who need to understand several statistical methods in order to analysis and interpretation of numerical data as well as drawing valid conclusions and making reasonable decisions. This text book has been written with the idea that this is their exposure to the subject to library statistics. Comments and criticisms from students as well as from teachers in LIS and friends for more correction and improvement of the standard of the book will be gratefully acknowledged.
