This project aims to provide an overview of sensory integration and processing (SI/P) models and assessment in adults diagnosed with ADHD and to identify gaps in the current global research knowledge. The chosen method for this literature-based research is scoping review. The theoretical framework for the review is the SI theory pioneered by A. Jean Ayres. The methodology of the review follows JBI Manual for Evidence Synthesis. The search strategy will follow PRISMA-ScR, consisting of three-step strategy. Chosen search terms for the initial search are based on commonly used SI/P models and ADHD diagnostics. The five chosen databases for searching are CINAHL, PsycInfo, MEDLINE, Scopus and Web of Science. Evidence selection will be based on pre-specified criteria, which considers the population, concept and context. Selection of sources is further demonstrated via a flowchart, specifying the number of included and excluded records and relevant rationale. Software used for management of the search results will be RefWorks. A charting table will be provided in the data extraction process, accompanied by a descriptive summary. Content analysis process will be followed to present the data.
