The purpose of the current study is to better understand how the temporal proximity of reminders influences PM and the factors that influence how people strategically set reminders to optimize performance. If the reminder is not temporally proximal to the action execution stage, the intention essentially becomes a delayed-execution task, which can have negative consequences for performance.
