This is my Longhorn RTM project, beta 1 mod. The aim is basically to replicate the Plex Demo concept, what longhorn could have been, if microsoft was more clear, and had their features planned properly. Although it should work fine with most drivers and hardware. And you may see sidebar breaking just after changing the screen resolution, its normal, just use ctrl-shift-esc to open task manager, and end explorer.exe process, then start explorer.exe again from file->new task. How to get VMware Tools working in LH beta 1: VMware users are aware of this issue while installing VMware Tools and could lead to a BSOD. It's based in Shorthorn 3718. Steps 1. Go to the VM menu and click Install VMware Tools in the VM 2. It'll open as normal, click Next. 3. Don't select Typical or Complete, it'll lead into a BSOD. Go to for Custom option. 4. Disable these options: - Paravirtual SCSI - Virtual Printing - Memory Control Driver - SCSI Driver - VMCI Driver (Install the networking, audio driver, video driver and mouse drivers only) 5.
