This pre-registration outlines the procedure for collaboratively designing the questionnaire components of the “Heat and Cognition Many Labs” project, a large-scale international study examining how extreme heat affects cognitive performance, social functioning, beliefs, and psychological well-being. The focus of this pre-registration is not on the hypotheses or data analysis of the main study, but rather on the structured and transparent process of selecting relevant variables such as cognitive and social decision-making tasks as well as different psychological scales to be included in the study’s protocol.
