This preregistration outlines the design, hypotheses, and analysis plans for four experimental studies examining how political identity and perceived threats to core moral values affect emotional, cognitive, and behavioral political biases. Study 2a (U.S.) and Study 2b (Israel) test correlational relationships between identity, perceived threat, and political judgment bias. Study 3a (Symbolic Threat) and 3b (Realistic Threat) are between-subjects experiments testing the causal effects of different moral threat types on bias intensity, with identity strength as a moderator.
