The playwright Anton Chekhov wrote to a friend that he was writing a play with "a great deal of conversation about literature, little actions, tons of love." The Seagull is not unlike our own lives, where there isn't a ready-made plot with a neat ending. This episode is the fourth collaboration between IDEAS and Soulpepper Theatre Company's audio drama series Around the World in 80 Plays.

As I was going to Jamestown, I spotted a seagull right on top of one of those freeway lights on the Jamestown Verrazzano Bridge! Wow! A really good, lucky shot!

High voltage insulation is one of the most important components of electrical power systems. Polymeric materials have lately supplanted ceramic materials as insulating materials due to their low weight, straightforward structure, high mechanical strength, good performance in the presence of pollution, ease of transportation, and ability to enhance voltage. The purpose of this thesis is to add micro and nano-sized aluminum oxide (Al2O3) fillers to silicone rubber (SIR) to enhance its electrical characteristics. Micro Al2O3 filler with contents of 10wt%, 20wt%, 30wt%, and 40wt% was combined with nano Al2O3 with contents of 1wt%, 3wt%, 5wt%, and 7wt% to create samples of SIR composites. The composites’ dielectric strength is evaluated in a variety of environments, including dry, wet, low-salt wet, and high-salt wet circumstances. In order to boost the insulator’s dielectric strength under diverse environmental conditions, this research aims to develop a weight ratio composition for such a composite. The ideal concentration of nano or micro Al2O3 fillers has been calculated using the whale optimization algorithm (WOA) and seagull optimization algorithm (SOA).

Meet Pingu for the very first time! In this first ever episode, Pingu and his parents are sitting down to a large lunch, but Pingu is not impressed. A comical lunch ensues, with Pingu refusing to eat his vegetables and instead trying to find a way to avoid swallowing his food. After lunch Pingu meets up with two friends, Pingo and Pingg who are not nice to him and pop his inflatable ball. / Pingu is in a bad mood and doesn't want to eat his dinner. When he rocks his chair and pulls the table cloth off the table, his father orders him out so they can clean. Pingu, feeling that his parents don't love him, runs away from the house. But when he sees monster-faces in the night, he becomes scared and runs to hide. Will Pingu find his way back home? / Pingu desperately needs to go to the loo, but his father is in there. When he finally gets his father out, Pingu can't make it because the toilet is too high. Pingu is made to clean up the mess he's made, and then tries to figure out a way to fix the problem for the next time! / While playing around outside his igloo, Pingu is constantly irritated by the antics of a mischievous seagull. He desperately tries to get rid of the offending seagull, but the seagull just won't leave. Nevertheless, when the seagull is struck by a crab, Pingu comes to the rescue of his former rival.

The gluon mass generation is a purely non-perturbative effect, and the natural framework to study it in the continuum are the Schwinger-Dyson equations (SDEs) of the theory. At the level of the SDEs the generation of such a mass is associated with the existence of infrared finite solutions for the gluon propagator. From the theoretical point of view, the dynamical gluon mass generation has been traditionally plagued with seagull divergences. In this work, we will review how such divergences can be eliminated completely by virtue of a characteristic identity, valid in dimensional regularization. As a pedagogical example, we will first discuss in the context of scalar QED how it is possible to eliminate all seagull divergences, by triggering the aforementioned special identity, which enforces the masslessness of the photon. Then, we will discuss what happens in QCD and present an Ansatz for the three gluon vertex, which completely eliminates all seagull divergences and at same time allows for the possibility of a dynamical gluon mass generation.

Peter Lorre. Ah, yes... When I think of classic horror and suspense films of the 1940s, a trio of names immediately come to mind: Boris Karloff, Bela Legosi, and Peter Lorre. Beginning with his turn as the child murdering serial killer in Fritz Lang's M, only the second Hollywood film he'd appeared in, Lorre soon found himself cast in a variety of films – usually as a murderer. Lorre's voice was also a perfect fit for radio and here he could sometimes break away from his early typecasting as a "mysterious foreigner up to no good." In this evening's tale, Lorre takes on the role of a grieving widower haunted by his recently deceased bride. Sit back, turn out the lights, and give a listen to The Black Seagull on Inner Sanctum Mysteries as it aired on March 7, 1943.
