Dreams and how their content is shaped has fascinated mankind for ages and intrigued researchers for decades. In recent years, emerging research has focused on the relations between people’s personalities (assessed when they are awake) and their experiences and behavior in their nightly dreams. Two currently discussed and competing theories, namely the Social Simulation Theory (SST) and the Incorporation Continuity Hypothesis (ICH), make quite different predictions. SST views dreams functional simulations of social situations whereas ICH considers dreams to be but mirrors of people’s waking experiences. However, theory-guided empirical research on personality in dream content is scarce. Also, former studies used explicit measures although one could speculate a closer relationship between dream content, that is formed implicitly, and implicit measures of personality. Over the course of two weeks, 85 participants provided a total of 1,359 dreams that were analyzed with regard to the proportion of situations relevant to the dreamer's self-esteem. We will investigate the correlation between these proportions and explicit and implicit measures of self-esteem.

As a result of changing demographics, enrolment rates are expected to drop off in Canada soon and un¬less universities find a way to fill the gap, the future may see a lot more empty seats in class. Right now many universities are at max¬imum capacity in post-secondary en¬rolments, but over the next three, four, five years the number of enrolments may start to decline throughout the sys¬tem. Many universities are looking to ex¬pand their campuses and programs, because of maxed-out capacity coming from the large num¬ber of children that were born out of the baby boom generation. However those numbers peaked in 1991, which means that the rate of enrolment is likely to drop, coinciding with the gradu¬al decline in birthrates that occurred during the 1990s.While demographics may impact university enrolment, increasing gender inequality is certain to have a lasting effect on universities. Men now represent just 42 percent of total enrolments. Moreover, their higher dropout rate means that they will represent an even lower proportion of graduates. It appears that in terms of higher education it is women who are flourishing; by comparison, young men seem to be on autopilot. She was the daughter of the deposed Catholic king, James II, but was of the Anglican faith. Liberal, Irish member of Parliament, Justin McCarthy, writing in 1902, creates in sparkling, uncluttered prose a panoramic canvas of Anne and her times. William Ewart Gladstone (1809-1898), four times Prime Minister of Great Britain, dominated the Liberal Party for thirty years, but ultimately divided it over the issue of Irish Home Rule, which he unsuccessfully championed. He brought to parliamentary politics a moral fervor which made him the personification of the Victorian Age, but which also challenged the complacency of its imperialistic assumptions. In this 1897 biography, the Liberal Irish member of Parliament, Justin McCarthy, presents a Gladstone still vividly remembered, rising to speak in the House of Commons among a host of illustrious contemporaries, including Benjamin Disraeli, Lord Palmerston, and Sir Robert Peel, or expounding his views to a bored and baffled Queen Victoria, who called him a "ridiculous, wild, and incomprehensible old fanatic." Hopes for a new era of peace expired in the freezing trenches before Sebastopol, where not even the heroics of the Light Brigade could distract the British public for long from the debacle of failed leadership and the criminal collapse of logistics. Prince Albert dies after a short illness in December 1861, leaving a distraught and cloistered Queen. Lord Palmerston's diplomacy increases Britain's influence on the Continent, while the Civil War in America divides the country in surprising ways. The Fenian movement agitates unsuccessfully for Irish independence. British trade unions win the right to organize. William Ewart Gladstone launches his great reform ministry by abolishing in Ireland the hated Anglican establishment and follows with a flood of bills reforming education, the British army, and poor relief.
