Accumulated childhood trauma and specific trauma subtypes have been linked to increased risk of general psychopathology in adulthood, particularly psychosis (e.g., Kelleher et al., 2013) and voice-hearing (e.g., Sitko et al., 2014; Trauelsen et al., 2015). Identifying the psychological and behavioral mechanisms that mediate the relationship between trauma and psychosis is essential for developing effective interventions (Alameda et al., 2020). Several studies have investigated these processes (Alameda et al., 2021; Bloomfield et al., 2021), yet most have focused on broad outcomes such as overall severity of psychosis or voice-hearing. Far less attention has been given to more specific outcomes, such as voice-related distress, despite its importance as a treatment target (e.g., Lincoln et al., 2024). Consequently, the mechanisms underlying distress in voice-hearers with a history of trauma remain insufficiently understood. Additionally, the majority of mediation studies have categorized trauma using theory-driven frameworks and taxonomies, often based on predefined trauma subtypes. This approach may overlook the frequent co-occurrence and clustering of traumatic experiences. In contrast, data-driven methods such as cluster analysis or latent class analysis (Roesch et al., 2010) allow for bottom-up identification of trauma profiles based on patterns within the sample itself, offering a more nuanced understanding of trauma typologies. Following this approach, recent studies have provided new insights into the distribution and the voice-related characertistics of various trauma types, suggesting the existence of different trauma profiles (Barnes et al., 2021; Begemann et al., 2022; Marotti et al., 2025). While voice-hearing is not inherently a psychopathological phenomenon (Johns et al., 2014), the distress associated with hearing voices is clinically significant (e.g. Birchwood & Trower, 2004). Voice-related distress has been associated with several psychological factors, including maladaptive voice appraisals - particularly persecutory beliefs - or relating styles (e.g. Rammou et al., 2022; Tsang et al., 2021), voice content (e.g. Larøi et al., 2019; Rosen et al., 2018; Silver et al., 2023), depression (e.g. Hartley et al., 2013; Kusztrits et al., 2022), insecure attachment styles and negative core beliefs about the self or others (e.g. Cole et al., 2017; Jorovat et al., 2025; Kusztrits et al., 2022; Thomas et al., 2015). Sleep disturbances may also contribute, as they are prevalent across the course of psychosis (Bagautdinova et al., 2023), could mediate the relationship between interpersonal trauma and paranoia-related distress in a transdiagnostic sample (Herms et al., 2024), and improving sleep has been shown to reduce positive psychotic symptoms (Scott et al., 2021). A key next step is to examine whether specific psychological mechanisms mediate the relationship between trauma profiles and voice-related distress, and whether these mechanisms vary across trauma subgroups. In this regard, it is also important to assess whether such mechanisms differ by gender, given evidence of gender-specific associations between childhood trauma and psychosis (e.g., Stanton et al., 2020). Clarifying these relationships could inform the development of more tailored and effective interventions for voice-hearers with trauma histories. Thus, the current study aims to examine potential psychological and behavioral mechanisms linking data-driven childhood trauma profiles to voice-related distress. Specifically, we will investigate the direct and indirect effects, estimate the magnitude of these effects, and evaluate whether they operate under specific conditions.

The purposes of this paper are at least threefold: (1) to identify and explain mediation as a process constituting a deliberate set of sequential acts and nonacts as an appropriate means for peaceful, impartial crisis resoluation of inter racial violence between/among students in secondary public schools; (2) to present mediation as a viable option to direct police action often thought to be the sole immediate, intermediate, or sustained alternative; and (3) to discuss the transfer and applicability of mediation skills and procedures to similar situations in schools across the nation as an equitable, economical, and generally efficient approach. The incidents reported are facts which occurred in a single northeastern high school during the first year of court ordered desegregation. The normal functioning of the justice system existing in the state, which should ensure the satisfaction of the private interests of the sub- jects of law, should be evaluated as an expression of public and private interests. After all, the well-being of the subjects of law is significantly determined by the existence of a flexible dispute resolution system and mechanisms, the correct formation and implementation of which guarantees the stability of the civil turnover and the satisfaction of the interests of legal subjects. Despite the importance of the issue, ensuring that the legal subjects are offered fast and affordable forms of dis- puteresolution, remains to be a challenge. Achieving the mentioned goal becomes more difficult, when the dispute is loaded with international private law elements, is characterized by complexity in this way and its resolution is connected with a number of peculiarities. That is why, on the one hand, it is considered important to make changes in the law of Georgia “On Private International Law”, which will eliminate the risks of its misinterpretation. On the other hand, it is important to emphasize the role and importance of mediation in the process of resolving international private law disputes. Accordingly, following the legislative amendments, it is also considered important to raise public awareness in this direction and improve legal culture. The above-mentioned, significantly helps the formation of a chain of effective means of dispute resolution, where, on the other hand, an important place shall be given to the form of remote proceedings.

Mediation is required by Oregon law for parties engaged in a Domestic Relations court case involving a child custody and/or parenting time dispute. There are multiple advantages of creating a parenting plan for yourselves and your children rather than having one imposed by the court. In this video a Washington County Family Law Judge speaks regarding some of these advantages.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the increase in special-education complaints that may result in litigation and their cost to districts. The study included the analysis of data from a survey disseminated to all superintendents in Regions 1 and 2 in Texas, and an analysis of data from special-education hearing dockets for hearings held from January 1998 through October 1999. Responses were used to determine perceptions of district personnel with regards to special-education complaints. Descriptive data from the 1998 and 1999 Texas Educational Agency due-process hearing dockets were also used. Study conclusions include: (1) The term "free appropriate public education" is difficult to define but required by law for all students with an identified handicap; (2) a large number of complaints focus on parental disagreements with student placement and the requirement of least-restrictive environment, as well as on components of the individual education plan; (3) resolution at the district level is more cost effective than going to hearing; (4) a cooperative environment between the district and the parent increases the likelihood that a dispute will be resolved without the filing of an official complaint; and (5) the best defense for any district is to comply with federal and state procedural requirements at all times. This study examined the effectiveness of mediation (in comparison with due process hearings) in resolving disputes between parents of children with disabilities and school districts. Respondents (from 10 states) included 35 parents who had taken part in a mediation procedure only; 29 in a mediation procedure prior to a due process hearing; and 18 in a due process hearing only. The "Parent Satisfaction Survey" was developed and used to assess parental satisfaction with either the due process hearing or the mediation procedure as well as the outcome of these processes in respect to specific variables (such as the nature of the conflict, the nature and severity of the child's handicapping condition, the child's age, and the socioeconomic status of the parents). Results indicated that parents who took part in the mediation procedure reported significantly lower ratings of emotional cost to both parents and families. However, in relation to the other variables under study, there were no significant differences indicated between parents in the two groups. A systematic policy analysis of both mediation and due process conflict resolution processes resulted in recommendations for: (1) the development and maintenance of collegial relationships between parents and the schools; and (2) that a mediation "model" be established based on effective methods of conflict resolution. In 1921, American poet H.D. collected and published a selection of previously published poems by Marianne Moore. George Moore, an Irish writer involved with the Celtic Revival was influenced by the French Realists and particularly by the work of Émile Zola. Often considered as the first modern Irish novelist he became involved with Lady Gregory and William Butler Yeats in the establishment of the Irish Literary Theatre. As part of his involvement with the Literary Revival, he wrote a set of short stories set in Ireland, drawn from his experiences growing up on his family’s estates in Co. Mayo. The stories were intended to be translated into Irish as a part of a new tradition of Gaelic Literature. <br> The stories were later published in English as The Untilled Field, in 1903. Moore was initially influenced by Ivan Turgenyev’s collection of short stories, Tales of a Sportsman and in turn they are thought to have been an influence on James Joyce’s Dubliners collection. From a relatively early age Moore showed an interest in music and other performing arts. He sometimes appeared in musical plays with his friends, such as The Poor Soldier by John O'Keeffe (music by William Shield), and at one point had ambitions to become an actor. Moore attended several Dublin schools including Samuel Whyte's English Grammar School in Grafton Street where he learned the English accent with which he spoke for the rest of his life. In 1795 he graduated from Trinity College, which had recently allowed entry to Catholic students, in an effort to fulfill his mother's dream of him becoming a lawyer. Moore was initially a good student, but he later put less effort into his studies. His time at Trinity came amidst the ongoing turmoil following the French Revolution, and a number of his fellow students such as Robert Emmet were supporters of the United Irishmen movement, although Moore himself never was a member. The Dubliner, Thomas Moore, born in 1779 was a poet, composer, musician, and writer. He is most famous for the 10 volume work "Irish Melodies" published between 1807 and 1834 with Sir John Stevenson, which consists of 130 of his poems set to music, much of it based on old Irish airs. "The Last Rose of Summer" and "The Minstrel Boy" are two of the most well known. Many of these "Melodies" are included in this collection. He is perhaps most infamous for having burned, at the request of the Byron family, the manuscript of Byron's memoirs which Bryon had left to him for publication after his death. During his lifetime, his reputation as a poet placed him alongside Byron and Scott and Shelly. His narrative poem Lalla Rookh for example was possibly the most translated poem of the time and earned him £3000, what was till then the highest price paid by an English publisher for a poem. This collection contains a version of the poem but without the linking or "framing" prose sections. Moore was an Irish Nationalist and turned down the post of "Irish Poet Laureate" as he felt it would require him to tone down his outspoken Irish national politics. Muslin, better known as A Drama In Muslin, is a realistic novel by George Moore. It describes the lives of five Irish girls after their graduation from convent school. Alice Barton, around whom the story revolves, is unfulfilled by the role society gives her. She wants to find herself, but is prevented from doing so by her gender. Olive, her younger sister, was less popular at school but more "successful" in real life. The sisters could not be more different, and the book explores the rivalry between them. But this book is not only about five girls. It shows the beginning of the battle between landlords and peasants in Ireland, the poverty, and much more. Upon publication, it was considered immoral and banned by the main British libraries. Mahommah Gardo Baquaqua was a former slave, native of West Africa. He was sold as a slave in 1845 and worked in Brazil as a captive; however, when the ship where he was enslaved crew was at the harbor in New York in 1847, he fled. He studied at the New York Central College in McGrawville for almost three years. In 1854, he moved to Canada; he narrated his autobiography to the abolitionist Samuel Downing Moore in Detroit, who published it. They rejected A Mummer's Wife. This sparked interest among the public and it sold 14 editions by the end of the first year. This was considered so dangerous that the libraries took Moore's publisher to court over what was called The Literary Act which was meant to decide which work was considered moral. Julia A. Moore, the "Sweet Singer of Michigan," is today considered one of the true luminaries of bad poetry. Her verse, with its questionable grammar, clumsily contrived rhymes and its unique mixture of rigorous moralism and sentimentality, attracted wide-spread mockery from the press and the public, but also the attention of literary celebrities like Mark Twain. Ogden Nash, the comic poet, claimed that Moore was a major source of inspiration. Today the Flint Public Library in Michigan holds the Julia A.
