Recently, there has been an increasing realization that refinding and managing information once it is found is a significant problem for many users. Information that was found is not always easy to refind. In this talk, I will report on results from a laboratory study conducted to investigate factors that affect refinding information on the Web and to better understand the strategies people use to refind. Participants completed a set of 18 tasks to find information on the web and then, about a week later, a second set of 18 tasks to refind the same or similar information. The underlying experiment aims to investigate the impact of AI-Labels on the information-seeking behavior of physicians during literature search tasks. Clinical decision-making is significantly influenced by how information is presented, especially in high-stakes medical contexts where quick and accurate evidence retrieval is crucial (Asan et al., 2020). Physicians frequently encounter time-consuming challenges when identifying trustworthy medical publications, thereby creating opportunities for AI-driven recommendations to streamline this process (Starke et al., 2025). Previous research underscores the importance of explicit trust cues, such as certification labels, in guiding users' selection behaviors and visual attention toward more credible information (Scharowski et al., 2023). This study builds upon existing literature that examines the relationship between trust in automated systems and decision support tools in healthcare settings. Research by Zhang et al. (2020) indicates that AI-generated confidence indicators and explanations significantly influence users' trust calibration, suggesting that similar explicit AI-generated labels might similarly impact physicians' trust and decision-making behaviors. Furthermore, recent eye-tracking studies have demonstrated that expert gaze patterns offer crucial insights into the usability and trustworthiness of AI-based medical decision support systems, highlighting the value of visual attention metrics as objective indicators of trust (Nagendran et al., 2024; Castner et al., 2024). To empirically explore these effects, the present research utilizes eye-tracking technology to objectively assess physicians' attention allocation while they select publications relevant to a clinical query. By leveraging the unique affordances of eye-tracking, this study will provide detailed insights into how trust labels influence decision-making processes at conscious and subconscious levels, thus contributing valuable knowledge to the field of human-AI interaction in medical contexts (Unkel & Haas, 2017; Livinț-Popa et al., 2019).

Fluency here can achieve wonders in simplifying the modern programming problem. At the same time, data in the web is transitioning from adhoc to professional services, with a range of access options from free to service-guaranteeed.
