In this experiment we will investigate the effect of different illumination levels on the measurement stability of an Eyelink1000 eye tracker. Unsystematic previous experience has shown that different levels of illumination cause the recorded data quality to differ substantially. Specifically, high illumination causes more noise in the recorded eye traces. Here we will systematically evaluate this effect in both an artificial fixation task as well as a free viewing task.
