The NNEP is a general computer program for calculating aircraft engine performance. NNEP has been used extensively to calculate the design and off-design (matched) performance of a broad range of turbine engines, ranging from subsonic turboprops to variable cycle engines for supersonic transports. Recently, however, there has been increased interest in applications for which NNEP is not capable of simulating, such as the use of alternate fuels including cryogenic fuels and the inclusion of chemical dissociation effects at high temperatures. To overcome these limitations, NNEP was extended by including a general chemical equilibrium method. This permits consideration of any propellant system and the calculation of performance with dissociation effects. The new extended program is referred to as NNEP89.

A brief description of Complex 39L as it is currently conceived is presented. A brief discussion of lunar thermal history is then presented. From this follows a discussion of the current lunar thermal environment which will impact the design of cryogenic storage and handling facilities on the moon. Some previous studies are discussed. A conceptual design of liquid oxygen and hydrogen storage facilities is presented. The essential feature of this facility is that cryogens are to be stored in a number of small tanks which can serve as lander propellant tanks rather than as one large storage vessel. These tanks will be placed under a Fuel Inventory Tent (FIT) for shadow shielding. Methods of dealing with propellant boil-off are discussed. A base case cascade refrigeration system for requirements are such that it seems very feasible to construct a prototype boil-off recovery system in a laboratory environment.

Topological properties of the matching complex were first studied by Bouc in connection with Quillen complexes, and topological properties of the chessboard complex were first studied by Garst in connection with Tits coset complexes. Bj\"orner, Lov\'asz, Vr\'ecica and {\v{Z}}ivaljevi\'c established bounds on the connectivity of these complexes and conjectured that these bounds are sharp. In this paper we show that the conjecture is true by establishing the nonvanishing of integral homology in the degrees given by these bounds. Moreover, we show that for sufficiently large $n$, the bottom nonvanishing homology of the matching complex $M_n$ is an elementary 3-group, improving a result of Bouc, and that the bottom nonvanishing homology of the chessboard complex $M_{n,n}$ is a 3-group of exponent at most 9. When $n \equiv 2 \bmod 3$, the bottom nonvanishing homology of $M_{n,n}$ is shown to be $\Z_3$. Our proofs rely on computer calculations, long exact sequences, representation theory, and tableau combinatorics.

Let X be a separated finite type scheme over a noetherian base ring K. There is a complex C(X) of topological O_X-modules on X, called the complete Hochschild chain complex of X. To any O_X-module M - not necessarily quasi-coherent - we assign the complex Hom^{cont}_X(C(X),M) of continuous Hochschild cochains with values in M. Our first main result is that when X is smooth over K there is a functorial isomorphism between the complex of continuous Hochschild cochains and RHom_{X2}(O_X,M), in the derived category D(Mod(O_{X2})). The second main result is that if X is smooth of relative dimension n and n! is invertible in K, then the standard map from Hochschild chains to differential forms induces a decomposition of Hom^{cont}_X(C(X),M) in derived category D(Mod(O_X)). When M = O_X this is the precisely the quasi-isomorphism underlying the Kontsevich Formality Theorem. Combining the two results above we deduce a decomposition of the global Hochschild cohomology with values in M.

The (complex) two-qubit systems comprise a 15-dimensional convex set and the real two-qubit systems, a 9-dimensional convex set. While formulas for the Hilbert-Schmidt volumes of these two sets are known -- owing to recent important work of Sommers and Zyczkowski (J. Phys. A {36}, 10115 [2003]) -- formulas have not been so far obtained for the volumes of the separable subsets. We reduce these two problems to the determination of certain functions of a single variable.

We implement complex scaling of Faddeev equations using hyper-spheric coordinates and adiabatic expansion. Complex scaling of coordinates allows convenient calculations of three-body resonances. We derive the necessary equations and investigate the adiabatic spectrum at large distances. We illustrate the viability of the implementation by calculations of several three-body resonances: a $0^+$ resonance in a model benchmark system of three identical bosons; the $2^+$ resonance in the $^6$He nucleus within the $\alpha+n+n$ model; and the two $0^+$ resonances in $^{12}$C within the three-$\alpha$ model.

Western atheists often cry and proclaim about how they are a persecuted minority in western countries, claiming that religious fundamentals are opposing their freedom and right to somehow be atheist. They claim that the religious oppress them and somehow infringe upon their beliefs but according to the real statistics shown here, atheists are the least persecuted group in western countries, the supposed "atheophobia" they claim to be victims of being nothing more than their exaggerated imaginations. In 2012, the FBI released these statistics of religious groups in America that were being discriminated against Of the 1,340 victims of an anti-religious hate crime: 62.4 percent were victims of an offender’s anti-Jewish bias. 11.6 percent were victims of an anti-Islamic bias. 7.5 percent were victims of a bias against groups of individuals of varying religions (anti-multiple religions, group). 6.4 percent were victims of an anti-Catholic bias. 2.6 percent were victims of an anti-Protestant bias. 0.9 percent were victims of an anti-Atheist/Agnostic bias. 8.6 percent were victims of a bias against other religions (anti-other religion). (Based on Table 1.) Right at the bottom are atheists at 0.9%. More people were victims of anti-Jewish or anti-Islamic discrimination. These statistics are not just in America either. In 2013, YouGov (a popular polling organization in the UK) released these statistics of discriminated groups in the UK: In total two-thirds (67%) of British adults say people with mental health problems are discriminated against, including 30% who say these people suffer ‘a lot’ of discrimination – the highest of any group. The mentally ill are more widely seen as discriminated against than gypsies and travellers (62%), transsexuals (62%), immigrants (58%), Muslims (57%) or disabled people (57%). Around half see gays and lesbians (50%), elderly people (50%), black people (48%) and Asian people (47%) as victims of discrimination. Discrimination is seen as less common when it comes to Jews (34%), women (34%), working class people (32%), white people (30%), people with ginger hair (26%), Christians (25%) and, last of all, atheists (10%). Once again, atheists are right at the bottom with only 10% being discriminated against. The mentally ill, gypsies and travelers are right at the top with over 60% being discriminated against. Also, again, Muslims and Jews at a high percentage. The results are not any different in France, with Jews and Muslims increasingly facing discrimination in a society becoming very intolerant towards Jews and Muslims. Also at the top are homosexuals. Nils Muiznieks, the Council's Commissioner for Human Rights, speaking of this said the following: “In recent years, there has been a huge increase in anti-Semitic, anti-Muslim and homophobic acts,” wrote Muiznieks, who based his findings on a visit he made to France in September 2014. “In the first half of 2014 alone, the number of anti-Semitic acts virtually doubled, while the number of Jews leaving France for Israel tripled compared with 2012, which is a telling indication of their feeling of insecurity.” So my question of course is, where does this atheist persecution complex arise from? Is it from angst spot-ridden teens, who feel oppressed because their parents drag them to Church on Sunday morning? Or is it the feeling of isolation in a group that is still a minority (and has been for thousands of years)? Wherever it comes from, I ask these western atheists to a get a real grip with reality and stop crying because they disagree with opposing world-views. We live in a society of free-speech and in such a society, there will be those who will hold and speak views differently from your own, you simply have to deal with it. As these statistics show, you are less persecuted than Jews, Muslims and homosexuals and I'm sure any more reviewing of the statistics would continue to show that atheists experience the least persecution in western countries. I mean according to the FBI and YouGov statistics, Christians are experiencing more discrimination than you and in countries still considered to be Christian, now that's something to cry about. A unified electrodynamic approach to the guided wave excitation by external sources in the waveguiding structures with bianisotropic media is developed. Effect of electric, magnetic, and magneto- electric losses in such media manifests itself in the special form of eigenmode orthogonality referred to as the quasi-orthogonality relation. It reflects the existence of the cross-power flow and for any pair of modes which are rigidly linked to each other by this relation. The quasi-orthogonality relation remains true in the limiting case of lossless waveguides yielding the customary relations of orthogonality and normalization for propagating (active) modes and also their generalization for nonpropagating (reactive) modes. It is shown that the eigenmode set for a waveguiding structure is complete only outside the region of exciting sources. Inside this region the modal expansions of fields are incomplete and must be supplemented with the orthogonal complementary fields which extend the proper Hilbert space spanned by waveguide eigenfunctions. Among exciting sources there are the external bulk sources (currents, fields, and medium perturbations) and the external surface currents. Besides, the orthogonal complementary fields generate the effective surface currents on boundaries of the bulk exciting sources. The problem of waveguide excitation by external sources is solved by means of determining both the mode amplitudes for the modal field expansions and the orthogonal complementary fields inside the source region. The equations of mode excitation are derived on the basis of three approaches applying the direct use of Maxwell's equations, the electrodynamic analogy with the mathematical method of variation of constants, and the conjugate reciprocity theorem.

Radio galaxies classified as X-shaped/winged, are characterised by two pairs of extended and misaligned lobes, which suggest a rapid realignment of the jet axis, for which a potential cause is still under debate. Here we analyse the complex radio structure of 3C 293 winged source hosted by the post-merger galaxy, which uniquely displays a significant asymmetry between the sizes of the two pairs of lobes, indicating that an episode of jet realignment took place only very recently. Based on all the available radio data for 3C 293, we have performed a detailed spectral modelling for the older and younger lobes in the system. In this way we derived the lobes' ages and jet energetics, which we then compared to the accretion power in the source. We found that the 200 kpc-scale outer lobes of 3C 293 are ~60 Myr old and that jet activity related to the formation of the outer lobes ceased within the last Myr. Meanwhile, the inner 4 kpc-scale lobes, tilted by ~40 deg with respect to the outer ones, are only about ~0.3 Myr old. The best model fits also return identical values of the jet power supplying the outer and the inner structures. This power is of the order of the maximum kinetic luminosity of a Blandford-Znajek jet for a given black hole mass and accretion rate, but only in the case of relatively low values of a black hole spin, a~0.2. The derived jet energetics and timescales, along with the presence of two optical nuclei in 3C 293, all provide a strong support to the Lense-Thirring precession model in which the supermassive black hole spin, and therefore the jet axis, flips rapidly owing to the interactions with the tilted accretion disk in a new tidal interaction episode of the merging process. We further speculate that, in general, X-shape radio morphology forms in post-merger systems that are rich in cold molecular gas, and only host slowly spinning supermassive black holes.

May 12 Richardson Complex at Templeton Landing-12:15 P.M. by McClive, John R. Monica Pellegrino Faix and Eva Hassett will discuss the exciting reuse plans for the Richardson Olmsted Complex, including a brief historical overview, the planning process and stabilization activities. The Richardson Center Corporation, formed in 2006, has plans to repurpose and make viable again this long vacant iconic architectural masterpiece. The Richardson Olmsted Complex, comprised of H.H. Richardson buildings and Frederick Law Olmsted grounds represent a unique opportunity for Buffalo. When it was built in the late 1800âs the Buffalo State Asylum for the Insane was a progressive facility; a harmonious blend of state-of-the-art structures and a healing landscape to produce a therapeutic environment. The ROC will be developed as mixed use campus, starting with the Core Project, a set of physically and programmatically interdependent uses. The Buffalo Architecture Center, regional Visitor Center, boutique hotel and event/conference space will occupy the Towers Building and two flanking former wards. The Core Project also includes landscape and circulation rationalization by âre-greeningâ the historic grounds to create a welcoming public space for gathering and recreation. Monica Pellegrino Faix is the Project Coordinator for the Richardson Center Corporation. Since 2007 she has been the sole employee of the not for profit board overseeing the reuse and rehabilitation of this National Historic Landmark in Buffalo, NY. Prior to this endeavor, Monica was a Community Development Specialist with Assemblymember Sam Hoyt, addressing issues urban planning issues such as illegal property flipping and land banking legislation. She began her career as a social worker specializing in Child Protection, working in Maine, New Hampshire, and New York. Monica holds a Master of Urban Planning from the University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning. Eva Hassett has been the Executive Director of the International Institute of Buffalo since August 2009. The Institute has a 90 year history in working with people from other countries. Major business areas include refugee resettlement and integration services; services to victims of domestic violence and human trafficking; translation, interpretation and cultural awareness services; and hosting for international visitors and foreign policy programs. Eva has extensive experience as a senior executive in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. Before her arrival at the Institute, Eva served for 12 years in Buffalo City government, as Administration and Finance Commissioner and Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Buffalo. After leaving City Hall in 2006 she worked in the real estate development field with Savarino Companies and Clover Management. She also has experience in public sector investment banking and in policy analysis and development. E va has her BA from Harvard College (1982) and her MBA (1988) from the Yale University School of Management. Eva was named one of Buffaloâs Top Ten Influential Women in 2006 by Buffalo Spree magazine. Eva is a resident of the Elmwood Village in Buffalo, and is a volunteer on the Boards of the Richardson Center Corporation, Burchfield Penney Art Center, and CEPA Gallery. She is a member of the WomensâGroup. The flavour and glue structure of the light scalar mesons in QCD are probed by studying the couplings of the I=0 mesons $\sigma(600)$ and $f_0(980)$ to the operators $\bar{q}q$, $\alpha_s G^2$ and to two photons. The Roy dispersive representation for the $\pi\pi$ amplitude $t_0^0(s)$ is used to determine the pole positions as well as the residues in the complex plane. On the real axis, $t_0^0$ is constrained to solve the Roy equation together with elastic unitarity up to the $K\Kbar$ threshold leading to an improved description of the $f_0(980)$. The problem of using a two-particle threshold as a matching point is discussed. A simple relation is established between the coupling of a scalar meson to an operator $j_S$ and the value of the related pion form-factor computed at the resonance pole. Pion scalar form-factors as well as two-photon partial-wave amplitudes are expressed as coupled-channel Omn\`es dispersive representations. Subtraction constants are constrained by chiral symmetry and experimental data. Comparison of our results for the $\bar{q}q$ couplings with earlier determinations of the analogous couplings of the lightest I=1 and $I=1/2$ scalar mesons are compatible with an assignment of the $\sigma$, $\kappa$, $a_0(980)$, $f_0(980)$ into a nonet. Concerning the gluonic operator $\alpha_s G^2$ we find a significant coupling to both the $\sigma$ and the $f_0(980)$.

The nature of time in quantum mechanics is closely related to the use of a complex, rather than say real, Hilbert space. This becomes particularly clear when considering quantum field theory in time dependent backgrounds, such as in cosmology, when the notion of positive frequency ceases to be well defined. In spacetimes lacking time orientation, i.e without the possibility of defining an arrow of time, one is forced to abandon complex quantum mechanics. One also has to face this problem in quantum cosmology. I use this to argue that this suggests that, at a fundamental level, quantum mechanics may be really real with not one, but a multitude of complex structures. I relate these ideas to other suggestions that in quantum gravity time evolution may not be unitary, possibly implemented by a super-scattering matrix, and the status of CPT.

Kakimizu complex of a knot is a flag simplicial complex whose vertices correspond to minimal genus Seifert surfaces and edges to disjoint pairs of such surfaces. We discuss a general setting in which one can define a similar complex. We prove that this complex is contractible, which was conjectured by Kakimizu. More generally, the fixed-point set (in the Kakimizu complex) for any subgroup of an appropriate mapping class group is contractible or empty. Moreover, we prove that this fixed-point set is non-empty for finite subgroups, which implies the existence of symmetric Seifert surfaces.

This manuscript introduces a new analytical approach for studying the time evolution of disease spread on a finite size network. Our methodology can accommodate any disease with a general infectivity profile. This new approach is able to incorporate the impact of a general intervention - at the population level - in a number of different ways. Below, we discuss the details of the equations involved and compare the outcomes of analytical calculation against simulation results. We conclude with a discussion of possible extensions of this methodology.

We discuss a conjecture of Donaldson on a version of Yau's Theorem for symplectic forms with compatible almost complex structures and survey some recent progress on this problem. We also speculate on some future possible directions, and use a monotonicity formula for harmonic maps to obtain a new local estimate in the setting of Donaldson's conjecture.
