The title of the album and the titles of the individual tracks already suggest it: It's about futuristic soundscapes, strange seeming sounds, but also loops and here and there beats. Dominik Vogel operates with his modular system once again at the intersection of techno, IDM, ambient and sound art. All of this, as it were, at the open heart, because everything is as always recorded live in one pass and only minimally post-processed. If you've ever had the thought that Dominik Vogel looks like the commander of a spaceship on his equipment, you're welcome to fully embrace that notion here. Two young test listeners commented on the album independently of each other with the words: "Sounds like being in a spaceship" and "Sounds like being in a science fiction movie". Asked about this, Dominik responds with: "You could say the album is the soundtrack to a movie which is shot from a spaceship :)". So if you like, you can rhyme together your own sci-fi story in the combination of the talking titles and the music. Of course, the inclined listeners can also just dive into these sound worlds, let themselves be carried away and feel inside, what associations the heard arouses in you. There is a lot to discover here and it is worthwhile to let the album work on you in a moment of rest.

Corrections to the masses of baryons from baryon-meson loops can induce splittings between baryons which are comparable to those arising from the residual interactions between the quarks. These corrections are calculated using a pair-creation model to give the momentum-dependent vertices, and a model which includes configuration mixing to describe the wave functions of the baryons. A large set of baryon-meson intermediate states are employed, with all allowed SU(3)_f combinations, and excitations of the intermediate baryon states up to and including the second band of negative-parity excited states. Roughly half of the splitting between the nucleon and Delta ground states arises from loop effects. The effects of such loops on the spectrum of negative-parity excited states are examined, and the resulting splittings are sensitive to configuration mixing caused by the residual interactions between the quarks. With reduced-strength one-gluon-exchange interactions between the quarks fit to the Delta-nucleon splitting, a comparison is made between model masses and the bare masses required to fit the masses of the states extracted from data analyses. This shows that it is necessary to also adjust the string tension or the quark mass to fit the splitting between the average bare masses of the ground states and negative-parity excited states, and that spin-orbit effects are likely to be important.

Read about Radia on wikipedia. -- Full Fucking Moon : 'I Am A Strange Loop' - Radia Mix (27:50) Documentation of a live event which doesn’t merely reiterate it, Full Fucking Moon’s 'I Am a Strange Loop', with its kaleidoscopic shifts, fragments and interwoven threads of live streams, opens the listener’s ear to the multi-dimensional non-linearity of radio space, its mazes, veils and etheric folds, its membranes and mirrorings. This piece’s original life was as a dual-stream simulcast across both FM and AM channels (the stations Radio One 91FM and Toroa Radio 1575AM, respectively), which began at 1pm and ended at 2pm on Saturday 20th April 2010, in Dunedin, New Zealand, a commissioned work by The Blue Oyster Art Project Space as part of their annual performance series. In a gesture toward a form of ‘Rorschach Radio’, the AM stream became an inversion of the FM, and the artists also de-stabilised this dualism by opening up a third-space (at the historic Otago Pioneer Womans Memorial Association Hall, Dunedin) as a public listening arena / performance venue. At first empty of the physical presence of the artists and allowing the audience to roam, the space contained a scattering of radio receivers embedded in the nooks and crannies of its colonial architecture, as well as a social space where tea was drunk, conversations were had, newspapers were read, and eyes were closed in meditative listening. With the intimacy of the home-wireless set being something that could only capture the ‘total work’ in a sequence of twists and fractures, requiring the radio to be physically tuned as an instrument betwixt and between bands, (an action itself revealing the miasmic, shifting cloud of radio space), listeners present both at home and in this more public space (the latter by walking around the rooms where radios were distributed) each found their own stream within the cloud of possibilities, this listenership evoking radio as both intimate and communal, both territorial and boundless. The artists inhabiting the radiophonic streams then literalised their presence by arriving in the space, dressed in outfits that both evoked the spirits of colonial women's meetings and more recent outsider pop ensembles, activating the instruments that had until this time remained a tableau of props amongst the other still-lifes in the room (radio receivers placed next to posies of fake flowers being a repeating theme in particular). As befits radio’s multiform and fluid potentialities, this 1-hour performance was not the piece's only destination, and this new edit speaks to the radia network as a series of distributed nodes, and to radio’s strangely present invisible material. 'I Am a Strange Loop - Radia Mix' begins with the radiophonic glossolalic cloud, clearing a way for the arrival of a human channelling of a spirit-radio, in which a psychic presence casts ideas on “transmissions” (dictations) from the cosmos as a poetics of the medium, and ends with a song called ‘Litany of the Oceans’, an FFM ballad about the moon, in which singer Bek Coogan intones the names of the astral body’s craters, thought to be the sites of frozen lunar seas, evoking the moon’s tug on the ethereric tides (and also perhaps calling to mind the United States military probe Clementine, whose investigation known as the 'bistatic radar experiment' in 1994 used a transmitter to beam radio waves into the dark regions of the moon’s south pole). I Am a Strange Loop is a work created by artists who are deliberate misreaders of traditions, who shift mercurially within critical and primordial texts and methods. Strange Loop Live At Frozen

We study the light quark mass dependence of the f_0(600), kappa(800), rho(770) and K*(892) resonance parameters generated from elastic meson-meson scattering using unitarized one-loop Chiral Perturbation Theory. First, we show that it is possible to fit simultaneously all experimental scattering data up to 0.8-1 GeV together with lattice results on decay constants and scattering lengths up to a pion mass of 400 MeV, using chiral parameters compatible with existing determinations. Then, the strange and non-strange quark masses are varied from the chiral limit up to values of interest for lattice studies. In these amplitudes, the mass and width of the rho(770) and K*(892) present a similar and smooth quark mass dependence. In contrast, both scalars present a similar non-analyticity at high quark masses. Nevertheless, the f_0(600) dependence on the non-strange quark mass is stronger than for the kappa(800) and the vectors. We also confirm the lattice assumption of quark mass independence of the vector two-meson coupling that, in contrast, is violated for scalars. As a consequence, vector widths are very well approximated by the KSRF relation, and their masses are shown to scale like their corresponding meson decay constants.

Ramona, a novel written by Helen Hunt Jackson (1884), is the story of a part-Scottish and part-Native American orphan girl growing up and getting married in Southern California, suffering racial discrimination and hardship. Originally serialized in the Christian Union on a weekly basis, the novel became immensely popular. Overall, it has had more than 300 printings, been made into four film versions, and has been performed as an outdoor play annually since 1923. The impact the novel had on the culture and image of Southern California was enormous. Its romanticization of Mexican colonial life gave the region a unique cultural identity and its publication coincided with the arrival of railroad lines to the region, bringing in countless tourists who wanted to see the locations in the novel. It is the story of the love between a part-Native American orphan girl, Ramona, and Alessandro, a young Indian sheepherder. It is also the story of racial prejudice and the clash between cultures as California changes from a Spanish colony to an American territory. Ramona is the ward of Señora Gonzaga Moreno, who despises the girl for her race but honors the dying wish of the Señora's sister, Ramona's foster-mother, to raise her as her own. Señora Moreno embodies the aloof arrogance of Spanish nobility, hating both the Americans who dispute her claim to her vast rancho, and the Indians, whom she places in the same social class with slaves. Her only semblance of love is reserved for her son Felipe.<br><br> Despite the Señora's machinations, Ramona and Alessandro fall in love, and eventually elope. But their life together is not an easy one, as they roam the Southern California searching for a home. She detailed the adverse effects of government actions in her history A Century of Dishonor (1881). Her novel Ramona dramatized the federal government's mistreatment of Native Americans in Southern California and attracted considerable attention to her cause.<br><br>Fiske attended Ipswich Female Seminary and the Abbott Institute, a boarding school run by Reverend J.S.C. She described the adverse effects of government actions in her history A Century of Dishonor (1881). Her novel Ramona* (1884) dramatized the federal government's mistreatment of Native Americans in Southern California after the Mexican–American War and attracted considerable attention to her cause. Commercially popular, it was estimated to have been reprinted 300 times and most readers liked its romantic and picturesque qualities rather than its political content.
