This research work broadly estimated the farm level technical efficiency and elasticity of production among small scale catfish farmers in Alimosho Local Government Areas of Lagos State, Nigeria. The study in its specific objectives described the socio economic characteristics of the catfish farmers in the study area and analyzed the technical inefficiency of the catfish farmers in the study area. The study employed the use of cross sectional data from household survey conducted on a sample of 80 catfish farmers in the study areas. The data were collected with the aid of structured questionnaire and were later analyzed. The study employed the following analytical tools in order to analyze the data collected from the field Descriptive Statistics as well as Inferential Statistical Model such as Stochastic Frontier Approach.The mean age of the farmers in the study area was 44 years. Majority of the catfish farmers are married. The catfish farmers in the study are well educated. The catfish farmers in the study have large households with an average household size of 7 persons. The mean year of farming experience was 9 years for the catfish farmers. This research revealed that about 70 of the male catfish farmers were married in the study area. Among the catfish farmers, the variables that significantly influence catfish output in the study are included labour quantity employed 1 , fingerling quantity 1 and pond size 1 . The estimated sigma square s2 for the catfish farmers were 0.0209 significant at 1 . The estimated gamma g parameter of catfish farmers revealed that 99 of the variations in the catfish output among the catfish farmers in the study area are due to the differences in their technical efficiencies. The fingerling quantity was the most important variable factor of production among the catfish farmers in the study area. The RTS for the catfish farmers was 1.175 in the study areas. Adeleke, O. Entrepreneurial education EE is one of the fastest growing fields of education globally, yet the areas of "what" should be taught in these programs and "how" to teach them have been mentioned by many researchers as ones that lack both consensus and devoted attention. The purpose for this research work is to provide a detailed influence of teachers, parents and students interest in the study of entrepreneurial education. This research uses a systematic literature review to help review the literature in a transparent and unbiased way. The method used for this research is the quantitative research method. Questionnaires served as the major technique for data collection, which were further analyzed using the descriptive survey research design into SPSS. Findings from this research show that students have interest and the desire to become self reliant after graduation, which may be so because their parents are self reliant. Unfortunately, teachers who teach entrepreneurial subjects are not specially trained to do so, neither are they entrepreneurs. Worst still, schools do not make provisions for students to practically learn new skills, as such, the training which students receive is not enough for them to become self reliant after graduation. Both students, parents and schools must, therefore, play their different roles as identified by this research to inculcate in the students, problem solving skill and self reliance. Integrated Emergency Management is the framework which allows the various levels of government to work together to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters. These disasters can be natural or man-made, relatively small or very large. The events of September II, 2001 brought new challenges to the Integrated Emergency Management system. For the first time terrorists struck within the borders of the United States and the threat of subsequent attacks using weapons of mass destruction is a real and present danger to every American. The ability to combat this new threat is a fundamental duty of government and will require increased coordination, cooperation, and integration to successfully accomplish this new mission. A working knowledge of this system is required for emergency managers and military professionals who may be tasked to prepare for or to perform disaster relief. This paper describes the framework of Integrated Emergency Management and the roles of the federal, state, and local government in that structure. The Department of Homeland Security and the Northern Command of the Department of Defense are briefly examined and their roles in the system are highlighted. The initial tasks of the Department of National Security are to integrate its subordinate organizations, eliminate redundant capability and overlapping jurisdictions, and develop streamlined procedures and processes for rapid analysis and response.

The study examined borehole water quality in selected communities in Obio-Akpor LGA, Rivers State, Nigeria. Study adopted experimental research method. Primary and secondary data sources were used. Global Positioning System (GPS) was used to track the borehole positions for each community. The random sample technique was used to select 9 wards and nine communities for water sampling. Nine boreholes purposively were sampled in the nine communities for laboratory analyses on the physical, chemical and microbial parameters of the water samples. Physico-chemical parameters analyzed were: pH, temperature, chloride, acidity, hardness, colour, odour, total dissolved solids (TDS), total suspended solids (TSS) and oil and grease. The microbial parameters were E coli and Salmonella. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used for the study and statistical analyses were performed using SPSS version 21.0. Results showed that mean values of physical parameters were; pH (6.5), temperature (25.9 0C), chloride (62.8 mg/l), acidity (60.6 mg/l), hardness (20.87 mg/l), colourless, odourless, (TDS) (54.1 ppm), (TSS) (57.5 mg/l) and oil and grease (563 mg/l. Microbial parameters were; E coli (0 cfu/100 ml) and Salmonella (0 cfu/100 ml) were not found. Hypothesis test showed a statistical significant difference between the borehole water quality as indicated by Chloride, Acidity, Hardness, TDS, TSS and Oil/grease and WHO standard for drinking water in the study area. Findings also revealed that values obtained for physico-chemical were lower than NESREA standards and WHO acceptable limits except for higher values of TSS recorded at Choba and Rumuola sample stations. Oil and grease were also found to be higher in content, higher than WHO and NESREA standards in these two areas, this was an indication of pollution. The study recommends that anthropogenic activities should be monitored in the area both on surface and ground water to reduce groundwater seepage and pollution in the study area.
