This article describes, in nontechnical terms, a radical shift in perspective on intelligence and intelligence testing that has emerged during the 1970's. The article presents and elaborates upon three main goals of the 'revolution' among contemporary psychologists studying intelligence: to discover just what intelligence is, to extract from intelligence tests information that is much more diagnostic, predictive, and theoretically based than information that is presently available from IQ tests, and to modify what the tests measure to bring them into line with our theorizing about the nature of intelligence. Most student leaders are willing to work through the system to bring about the changes they desire, but more often than not, they don't know how. This booklet was written to respond to that need. It is an attempt to describe to high school student council leaders the personal requirements and techniques for bringing about the constructive changes they seek for their schools and student councils. The word "revolution" will rest a little uncomfortably for some, but it seems to the author that very revolutionary things can be brought about through the persistent use of reasonable and officially recognized processes. The basic thesis is that working through the system is ultimately more effective than fighting against it. As a technique, the silent revolution does not exist in a vacuum; it succeeds or fails depending on the individual leader's reasons for leading, his outlook on solving leadership problems, and the development of his own leadership potential. For this reason, this booklet is an attempt not only to describe a technique but to put it in a total leadership perspective as well: why one leads, how one leads, the effects of that leadership, and the problems of self-renewal. The preponderance of literature associated with school violence illuminates the severity of its manifestation in schools both nationally and internationally. The impact of school violence on students' physical and emotional well-being cannot be understated as this is commensurate with student academic achievement. The South African Government's National Development Plan 2030 identifies the improvement of the quality of public services as critical to achieving transformation. It is germane to then consider how an education system entrenched in a long-standing history of violence can be adopted in an agenda of transformation. In his 2023 State of the Nation Address, President Cyril Ramaphosa stated: "Schools must be safe and allow for effective learning and teaching". Behind this pronouncement, is a silent revolution unfolding. South African schools, now nearly three decades into democracy, are focusing on collaborative leadership to contribute meaningfully to the redress of violence in school environments and move toward trauma-informed practices. A study comprising 121 schools in South Africa reveals that school management teams are employing collaborative leadership to address such behaviours. Underpinned by the Collaborative Leadership Theory, this mixed methods research design investigates how collaborative leadership is employed by educational practitioners to address school violence in 21st century classrooms. The results of this study have the potential to offer an approach towards addressing school violence in South African schools, despite the complexities of an education system stemming from a violent past which remains evident in South African classrooms today. New EP “Silent Revolution” from Adrien d’Elzius (formerly known as hosmOz) shows different facets of real IDM music: while taking the roots from the masters of the genre, with the trademark glitches, clicks and cuts, it has its own unique face with all the subtle melodies and atmospheres – and everything between the lines. As everyone else, artists have to find their place and purpose, and in this increasingly cold and surreal world, invaded by artificial intelligence technologies, the task can be delicate. The only revolution worth carrying out is an inner revolution, and the track titles give a clue to where to look to find inspirations from those who can light a candle in our inner chaos.

This thesis presents the history of NATO's logistics fuel operation in Afghanistan and the lessons learned from it for the broader logistics community. The research focuses on a small group of individuals and how they came to supply over 3 million liters of fuel daily to Afghanistan with very little upfront investment from the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) nations. The thesis describes how these individuals managed NATO fuel operations outside of traditional agencies like the NATO Support Agency (NSPA) and the worldwide U.S. Defense Logistics Agency-Energy (DLA-E). In addition, the thesis examines NATO's operation in Afghanistan as compared to similar historical examples of large-scale coalition fuel efforts over long lines of communication. These historical case studies assist in framing the context of NATO logisticians' accomplishments and the level of risk they accepted in supplying fuel to the NATO-led ISAF mission. The NATO case study provides a model for coalition support in a time when nations are unwilling or unable to provide logistics support to their forces.
