This longitudinal wait-list control group study will examine the effect of Paulsen and Kortsch's (2020) "Simply Less Stress" concept on stress coping skills and stress experience and the influence of social support. The intervention is conducted as an online course. 3 measuring points are foreseen: before the intervention, immediately afterwards and at a follow-up measurement, 4 weeks after the end of the intervention. 3 groups are planned. Subjects will be randomly assigned to groups. The treatment (IG1)- and the waiting control group (WKG) will consist of participants without social support. The second group (IG2) consists of participants who receive social support during the course by regularly talking to a person about the content of the online course. The hypotheses are tested using analyses of variance. The aim of the study is to analyze the influence of social support on the effectiveness of the stress management interventions in order to consider these findings in the future.

The evolution of information technology has resulted in telehealth becoming a fourth-generation synchronous program. However, long-term outcomes and cost-effectiveness analysis of fourth-generation telehealth programs have not been reported in patients with chronic cardiovascular diseases. Objective: We conducted this study to assess the clinical outcomes and cost-effectiveness of a fourth-generation synchronous telehealth program for patients with chronic cardiovascular diseases. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 575 patients who had joined a telehealth program and compared them with 1178 patients matched for sex, age, and Charlson comorbidity index. The program included: (1) instant transmission of biometric data, (2) daily telephone interview, and (3) continuous decision-making support. Data on hospitalization, emergency department (ED) visits, and medical costs were collected from the hospital’s database and were adjusted to the follow-up months. Over the next seven years, more than 50 percent of DoD’s acquisition workforce will be eligible for retirement. To replace these highly skilled acquisition professionals, the Department of Defense (DoD) will need to efficiently and effectively train employees who are entering the contracting profession. In 2003, the Communications Electronics Life Cycle Management Command (CE-LCMC) established a pilot training program that was intended to accelerate the training and development of contracting interns. The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of this program from the perspectives of the 91 participating interns, the Contracting Officers who work with these interns, and the managers/supervisors in the Acquisition Center. Based on the analysis of five surveys, recommendations are offered for the improvement of the CE-LCMC’s pilot intern training program.

An integrated multi-element project effort, currently being carried out at NASA LeRC, for the development of space heat rejection subsystems, with special emphasis on lightweight radiators, in support of SEI power system technology, and in particular the SP-100 program, is reported. Principal project elements include both contracted and in-house efforts. Included in the first category are two contracts aimed at the development of advanced radiator concepts, and demonstration of a flexible fabric heat pipe radiator concept. In-house work is designed to guide and support the overall program by system integration studies, heat pipe testing and analytical code development, radiator surface morphology alteration for emissivity enhancement, and composite materials research focused on the development of lightweight high conductivity fins.

An overview is given of the Lewis Research Center's cryogenic fluid management program in the form of viewgraphs. Objectives, approach, program elements, cost analysis, modeling, and flight experiment development are outlined.

The purpose of this thesis is to develop a data base orientated system that aids the Academic Associates and Curricular Officers in program development and course selection for individual students within particular curricula. The data base system is written utilizing the Virtual Machine Facility/370 (VM/370) operating system and the IBM 3033 computer at the Naval Postgraduate School. The automation of student curriculum matrices, course offerings, and tentative course scheduling is presented. A system user's manual for the IBM 3278 terminal is provided.
