My truck sings to me when I sit down, when I walk up stairs, pretty much at random times when I dont want it to. This cover slips over the panic button to prevent it from going off randomly. I havnet tried activating it with the cover in place. but if I print in TPU I expect it would. printed in PETG. intended for TPU. I printed it upright, the open end facing up.

Since there are few large single buttons for use in smart home applications, I did this simple design. It seems well-suited for children or seniors or anyone that might benefit from a highly visible large control button. The hole in the bottom is to help remove the Flic button if/when necessary. I added a second larger button also.

After entire minutes of design and development, I am now pleased to release this high performance button guard. How many times have you reached down to click or twist the control knob on your LCD controller only to accidentally hit the (**incredibly badly placed!**) RESET button instead? Just once will be more than enough times, particularly if it occurs near the end of a many hour print! Just print out this button guard (it's about a 10 minute print), put a drop of superglue on the back of the rectangular part and stick it on the panel around that $%~*!@ RESET button -- so you won't press it in again except when you really mean to! I plan to retire and live in luxury off the tips from this submission, so keep them rolling in!

I added a small hole in the bottom of the button for the pin to go into. This is to help make it stronger when I glue it together.

This thing is a simple panic button for the Wanhao Duplicator i3 and other rebrands. I own the Monoprice Maker Select v2.1 so your fitment may vary. It's very helpful for stopping a botched print without having to find something small and pokey to press the recessed microswitch in the panel, or doing a hard shut down with the main power switch at the back of the printer. It does NOT however stop "home all" or other manual head movements. (on my printer at least) The "PANIC!" and border are raised and colored with a permanent marker. Perhaps a multihead printer could make those print separate colors from the background. The cylinder shaped actuator is printed next to the button to attach later. I heated the end and stuck it on off center so that the button was more centered on the control panel because the hole on the panel isn't centered. The button is held on with a loop of gaffers tape. If anyone wants to remix it to have a hinge or something, that'd be awesome to see. Demensions: The button is 25mm across, 4mm deep with lettering and border 1mm high, post diameter is 4mm and 10mm long. Enjoy!

As button itself i use a black Cherry MX switch that i had laying around. Works nice :) When it was printed i thought a lower height would be great, so i added a 15mm/piece version. The version in the video is 30mm/piece. Uber's emergency button's getting an update. It'll now send live GPS, driver and passenger info directly to police--- instead of just starting a phone call. The Verge says the SOS button's only available in India...it was introduced after claims a driver raped a passenger. And while the update's starting in just one city.
