The NYIT Computer Graphics Laboratory was a research facility located in the Gerry House of the New York Institute of Technology between 1974-1992. At the CGL a variety of accomplishments were made such as the invention of the alpha channel as well as the development of computerized 2D animation. This reel, created for presentation at the 1986 SIGGRAPH event, contains a series of clips from a variety of work created at the CGL ranging from television station idents to short films and tests. Notable inclusions are "Digitoon" by Cam Macmillan and Alexander Hawley, "The Bleeps" by Hank Grebe, "User Abuser," and clips from "Gumby" and "The Works." This video was provided anonymously.
