The purpose of this study is to see the impact of unethical behavior on an individual's self-perception. The study will examine if knowing the person the behavior is perpetrated against impacts the perpetrators of the unethical behavior's self-perception more than if they do not know the victim. The study will consist of a hypothetical questionnaire given to the participants during which they will answer whether or not they will perform unethical behavior in these situations. If they answer that they would perform these behaviors their self perception will be measured before and after the questionnaire's to see how it was impacted. Two questionnaires will be given, the first will consist of situations about known people and the second will consist of situations involving strangers.

This study will expose participants to virtual reality simulations during which they may participate in unethical behavior. We are then going to test their self-esteem before and after these situations in order to see whether or not virtual unethical behavior had an impact on their self-esteem. We hypothesize that people with high agreeableness will experience a higher negative impact on their self-perception than those with low agreeableness since these people are normally considered sympathetic, cooperative, and warm.
