In this work we study implications of additional non-holomorphic soft breaking terms (mu', A'_t, A'_b and A'_tau) on the MSSM phenomenology. By respecting the existing bounds on the mass measurements and restrictions coming from certain B-decays, we probe reactions of the MSSM to these additional soft breaking terms. We provide examples in which some slightly excluded solutions of the MSSM can be made to be consistent with the current experimental results. During this, even after applying additional fine-tuning constraints the non-holomorphic terms are allowed to be as large as hundreds of GeV. Such terms prove that they are capable of enriching the phenomenology and varying the mass spectra of the MSSM heavily, with a reasonable amount of fine-tuning. We observe that higgsinos, the lightest stop, the heavy Higgs boson states A, H, charged H, sbottom and stau exhibit the highest sensitivity to the new terms. We also show how the light stop can become nearly degenerate with top quark using these non-holomorphic terms.

Iranian international affairs expert Mostafa Khoshcheshm said in a November 29, 2021 interview on Ofogh TV (Iran) that beside nuclear measures, Iran has other “measures of leverage” that it can use to remove sanctions, like its military and missile capabilities. He also said that Iran needs missiles that can reach Western Europe because NATO would come to Israel’s aid if a war broke out “by accident” between Iran and Israel. In addition, Khoshcheshm said that the Democrats in the United States are worried that Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan will cause them to lose their majority in the upcoming congressional race, so they are trying to improve their standing by reaching an agreement with Iran, even if it only enables them to say that they stopped Iran’s enrichment of uranium to 60%. He also said that Iran reduced its commitments to the JCPOA in order to get concessions from the other side, and that the Europeans know this. Leverage is strongly related to liquidity in a market and lack of liquidity is considered a cause and/or consequence of the recent financial crisis. A repurchase agreement is a financial instrument where a security is sold simultaneously with an agreement to buy it back at a later date. Repurchase agreements (repos) market size is a very important element in calculating the overall leverage in a financial market. Therefore, studying the behavior of repos market size can help to understand a process that can contribute to the birth of a financial crisis. We hypothesize that herding behavior among large investors led to massive over-leveraging through the use of repos, resulting in a bubble (built up over the previous years) and subsequent crash in this market in early 2008. We use the Johansen-Ledoit-Sornette (JLS) model of rational expectation bubbles and behavioral finance to study the dynamics of the repo market that led to the crash. The JLS model qualifies a bubble by the presence of characteristic patterns in the price dynamics, called log-periodic power law (LPPL) behavior. We show that there was significant LPPL behavior in the market before that crash and that the predicted range of times predicted by the model for the end of the bubble is consistent with the observations.

This study investigated the effect of financial leverage on returns to shareholders returns on quoted companies in Nigeria. In conducting this relationship study, a samples were used for the first and second analysis, the first analysis was tested using multiple regression while the second analysis was done using a non probability method. The same set of dependent variables were used as measure of leverage, multiple regression analysis, and non parametric techniques were employed for analysis 1 and 2 respectively, while the test statistic was used to test the significance of each regression model, the chi square was utilized in testing the significance of the effect of leverage on returns to shareholders. Whereas the f test statistic was used in determining the overall significance of each regression, findings were presented, It was concluded that financial leverage has significant effect on shareholders returns, it is further discovered that, the need to maximize profit and increase ownership control of the firm led to an increase in the use of leverage as a means of investing finances by firms. It was therefore recommended that leverage be employed by business organizations. I describe how we integrate each of these tools with Neu.ro, and how we can improve these integrations. Mariya came to MLOps from a software development background. Have you ever wished you could automate some of the boring stuff while adding extra robustness to your workflows so that you and your team can have greater confidence and work more efficiently? In this talk, I will present the concept of MLOps (kind of DevOps for ML scenarios, also referred to as DataOps or AIOps) and how adopting these practices can improve your team's workflows. You will learn how to automate some tasks within the ML lifecycle: from data transformation to model training, testing and validation, and deployment - making your workflows not only more seamless but your entire work more reproducible, reliable, and robust. You do not need to be a DevOps engineer to benefit from these practices, but you can indeed leverage existing open-source tools and platforms to improve your Data Science workflows. For completeness, I'll show a live end to end example, integrating MLOps practices for Machine Learning - from data processing to model training, validation and deployment. We will perform a secondary analysis of data from a study that investigated the effect of cognitive, mindfulness, and physical training interventions on human physical and cognitive performance outcomes. These secondary analyses will attempt to use individual difference, manipulation, and intervention data to predict outcomes specified by DARPA sponsors. The outcomes to be predicted will be held out until after predictions are made. Our primary approach for making predictions under Attune is to build high-fidelity, agent-based models of individuals’ cognitive and social performance based on the Apprentice Learning Architecture (ALA) that can then be employed to simulate the impact of actual, hypothetical, or counterfactual HPO interventions on target individuals. Rather than taking an abstract, statistical approach, Attune models will be causal and computational in nature; simulated Attune agents will actually do/experience the tasks and interventions and make predictions based on their computational implementations of the underlying cognitive and social mechanisms that come into play. This theory-driven approach provides a unique capability that purely data-driven approaches cannot; mainly, Attune models will be able to generate hypothetical and counterfactual predictions of how particular HPO interventions will impact performance, even when previous data is not available for the target tasks. While these models can make predictions in the absence of any data, the Attune effort will explore how data about specific individuals and teams (i.e., individual residuals) can be leveraged to make improved predictions. In some cases, there is no information about the task available or there is no cognitive/social task being performed. In these cases we explore whether our approach can be adapted by using a proxy task or abstracted process level data. A proxy task approach will be employed when a cognitive task outcome is desired, and another cognitive task (proxy) is available that can gauge the effect of the manipulation. We will train ALA agents to each individual’s performance on that proxy task and use those agents to perform the task of interest to produce a simulation-based prediction. When no process level data is available, we will explore whether or not it is possible to make predictions based on meta-level data. This may be particularly useful when, for example, team-level (i.e., meta-level) data are available (e.g., instances of communication, or task status logs), but processes level data (e.g., communication and task performance details) are not. In these cases, our we will simply train our agents on these patterns of behavior at an individual level, implement social mechanism by which these processes can function, and base our prediction on these meta-level simulations. When an adaptation of the ALA approach is not possible or is not possible to engineer within the scope of the project, we will learn statistical causal relationships between each individual’s covariate data using a tool called TETRAD (http://www.phil.cmu.edu/tetrad/). TETRAD identifies plausible causal models from non-experimental data. Rather than assuming that all variables are not causally related and then searching for evidence to include causal links, TETRAD does the inverse—it assumes all relationships between variables are causal, then searches for evidence to eliminate or disconfirm each causal link. Unlike an approach that attempts to confirm causal links (which is impossible given non-experimental data), TETRAD produces plausible causal statistical models that cannot be invalidated with the currently available data.
