This guide is designed for individuals who want to deepen their knowledge of computer assisted language learning (CALL) but do not know where to look. The guide is divided into five sections. The first section gives the names, addresses, and a brief description of public and private organizations that are concerned with research in CALL. The organizations selected are those that appear to be most relevant for teachers in Italy, Great Britain, France, Germany, and the United States. The second section contains a list of the most important bibliographies on CALL, and the third section includes the titles of catalogues that identify suppliers of software and guides to software programs. The fourth section lists both periodicals that deal exclusively with CALL and those not specialized in CALL but that dedicate sections to CALL. The fifth and final section is a bibliography of works about CALL with special attention to Italian and German references. While references in English are included, individuals are advised to consult the other numerous bibliographies of works in English. (CFM)
