When Reelected In 2004, Senator Gregg Received The Highest Number Of Votes In New Hampshire History. He Also Served The Granite State As Governor (1989-1993) And U.S. Representative (1981- 1989). This Is An Extraordinary Body, The Senate. It Is Filled With Wonderful People. I Look Around This Room And I See A Lot Of Them, Friends, People I Have Had The Chance To Work With. I Admire Them Immensely. I Thank Them For Their Friendship. When People Ask Me About Leaving The Senate, And What Is The Thing I Am Going To Miss The Most, I Always Say, It Is The People, The People Of The Senate, Because They Are Special, Dedicated To Making This Country A Better Place, Dedicated To Doing Their Jobs Well, Dedicated To Serving America. So I Thank You For The Great Honor And Privilege That You Have Given Kathy And Me To Allow Us To Serve And Participate In This Body With Yourselves And Your Spouses.
