Hidden Threads: Intellect, Diversity, and Religious Freedom was a year-long project led by Mercer undergraduate Bekehm Mohn who noticed a lack of recognition for LGBTQ+ Mercerians, past and present. The initiative is a part of Mercer’s Applied Social Justice Certification program and is headed by the student-run My Name Matters Campaign. The campaign headed the ‘Hidden Threads’ project and recruited the research team through Common Ground. This research study was designed to explore and analyze the complex historical events leading up to Mercer University and the Georgia Baptist Convention severing their longstanding 172-year-old financial and institutional relationship.  With the materials stored in the Mercer University Archives, Special Collections, and Digital Initiatives, we compiled a concise timeline of important events and moments of public debate. We recruited a team of passionate students to conduct research on this issue. Our team consisted of all LGBTQ+ identifying students dedicated to restoring queer history at Mercer.  Each contributor conducted research and interviewed Mercer faculty, staff, students, alumni, and other influential figures from Mercer’s history.  Hidden Threads delves into topics including Mercer’s development and implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies; the severance between the Georgia Baptist Convention and Mercer; the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ people on campus; and the personal experiences and perspectives of LGBTQ+ Mercerians. Through this comprehensive exploration, the project aims to shed light on the historical significance of the LGBTQ+ community at Mercer and create a more inclusive and supportive environment on campus.  To read full interviews from this project please access, The Treatment of Us. I modified OpenBuilds' inside corner bracket to include 5mm threads, which allows the set screws to be placed more easily. Print with 100% infill at .12mm or finer layer height with a .4mm or finer nozzle. Use supports and the orientation shown in the picture, no support is needed for the threads. Remixed to make it printable vertically without supports and shortened to 7 slots.

This is a remix of the Hidden Nozzle Holder by The_Frant. I liked the original design but I made some improvements to increase the functionality. Modifications were done in Tinkercad. This holder fits in the base extrusion on Ender 3 printers. - Replaced the nozzle holes with threaded holes. This allows you to screw in your nozzles for a more secure fit - Increase the width of the side wings by 4mm (2mm on each side). This allows the holder to be more fitted in the extrusion, which makes it more sturdy. I will be working on a modified version that adds a bit more heft to the wings for a slightly tighter friction fit. This will keep the holder from sliding out if the printer is tilted. Look out for that update. - There are two versions, one with the knob and one without the knob (check the filenames) Thanks for checking this out and let me know if it works for you! UPDATE 9/6/2021: Added a third version of the Nozzle Holder that has a slightly wider wing span (+.1mm). This small change makes the holder have a tighter fit when closed which will prevent it from sliding open accidently. Look for "TightFit" in the filename.
