To assist the College Board Calculus Development Committee in arriving at a decision regarding the policy that should be followed in allowing the use of calculators on the Advanced Placement (AP) examinations after 1980, a questionnaire was developed. It obtains information from secondary school mathematics teachers about the extent to which calculators are used in calculus classes, the extent to which courses are modified because of the use of calculators, and the opinions of the teachers about how the use of calculators on the AP mathematics examinations would affect student performance.
