In 2014 Angry Birds Epic advanced one of the biggest mobile IPs even further and sent 60 million players onto an epic role playing journey through Piggy Island . Executive producer Hendrik Lesser will shed light on all the important measures Chimera Entertainment and Rovio initiated to get players hooked and entertained for a whole year. He will talk about what is most important during the live phase, what worked great and where the live team stumbled. He will also share insights on the cooperation with Rovio during live operations, on how to form partnerships in mobile games in general and how to evolve them to a win-win collaboration.

Experimental psychology, cognitive science, and human factors engineering have progressed sufficiently far that a practical unified theory of cognition and action is now foreseeable. Such a theory soon may yield useful quantitative predictions about rapid human multiple task performance in applied settings. Toward this end, an Executive-Process/Interactive-Control (EPIC) architecture has been formulated with components whose assumed properties emulate fundamental perceptual, cognitive, and motor processes. On the basis of EPIC, a theorist may construct detailed computational models that characterize multiple task performance under both laboratory and real world conditions. For example, EPIC computational models provide good accounts of response latencies and accuracies from the psychological refractory period procedure, aircraft cockpit operation, and human computer interaction. As a result, major commonalities in performance across various task domains have been discovered, and efficacious principles for designing person machine interfaces have been identified. The substantive and methodological lessons learned from these advances constitute an instructive precis to further utilitarian theoretical unification.

Every IR presents unique challenges. But–when an attacker uses PowerShell, WMI, Kerberos attacks, novel persistence mechanisms, seemingly unlimited C2 infrastructure and half-a-dozen rapidly-evolving malware families across a 100k node network to compromise the environment at a rate of 10 systems per day–the cumulative challenges can become overwhelming. This talk will showcase the obstacles overcome during one of the largest and most advanced breaches Mandiant has ever responded to, the novel investigative techniques employed, and the lessons learned that allowed us to help remediate it. Matt Dunwoody (@matthewdunwoody) and Nick Carr (@itsreallynick) are incident responders at Mandiant, specializing in digital forensics and network analysis. Matt has several years of experience as a technical lead for large-scale IR engagements and high-tech crime investigations. Nick has experience in computer security and intelligence roles and previously served as Chief Technical Analyst and incident response team lead for DHS ICS-CERT, focusing on SCADA systems and critical infrastructure cyber attack readiness and response.

His work is incredibly inspiring and is up there with other YouTube greats like Peter McKinnon for some of the smoothest and beautiful shots that also teach you a ton about how you can make better content online. I am fascinated by the beauty of this form of storytelling and really wanted to bring people behind the scenes on some of the lessons we learnt looking to replicate Daniel Schiffer's video style and well let's just say I am absolutely blown away by the results. We aren't nearly as good as he is but the simple fact that he puts out this epic content has definitely inspired me to push the limits of my own storytelling capacity as well as my ability to plan, execute and create a shoot that looks amazing. My goal is to share insights from these types of shoots from less of the technical camera movement and editing perspective and more so from the storytelling side of what makes a video so powerful for people and brands.
