2DTIC ADA148076: Electromagnetic Fields From The Generation And Absorption Of Discontinuous Linear Current Fronts.
By Defense Technical Information Center
The relativistically correct potentials and fields are calculated for a basic electromagnetic source-model in which the electric charge at a fixed point suddenly starts increasing linearly with time, while the equal but opposite charge flows away from the point with constant velocity in a straight line. A numerical example of a field calculation is given. Limiting forms of the solution appropriate at great distances are found, and radiated power, radiation resistance, and radiation patterns are derived. Using the solution for ths basic model, solutions for other source-models are developed by linear superposition. These include fields from a current being generated at one point and stopped (absorbed) at another, and the fields from current impulses. (Author)

5Partially Ionized Plasmas In Electromagnetic Fields
By Dietrich Kremp, Dirk Semkat, Thomas Bornath, Michael Bonitz, Manfred Schlanges and Paul Hilse
The interaction of partially ionized plasmas with an electromagnetic field is investigated using quantum statistical methods. A general statistical expression for the current density of a plasma in an electromagnetic field is presented and considered in the high field regime. Expressions for the collisional absorption are derived and discussed. Further, partially ionized plasmas are considered. Plasma Bloch equations for the description of bound-free transitions are given and the absorption coefficient as well as rate coefficients for multiphoton ionization are derived and numerical results are presented.

7Nonlinear Representations For Poincare And Galilei Algebras And Nonlinear Equations For Electromagnetic Fields
By Wilhelm I. Fushchych, Ivan M. Tsyfra and Vyacheslav M. Boyko
We construct nonlinear representations of the Poincare, Galilei, and conformal algebras on a set of the vector-functions $\Psi =(\vec E, \vec H)$. A nonlinear complex equation of Euler type for the electromagnetic field is proposed. The invariance algebra of this equation is found.

8Field Equations Of Electromagnetic And Gravitational Fields
By Zihua Weng
The paper studies the validity of Maxwell equation in the case for coexistence of electromagnetic field and gravitational field. With the algebra of quaternions, the Newton's law of gravitation is the same as that in classical theory of gravitational field. Meanwhile the Maxwell equation is identical with that in classical theory of electromagnetic field. And the related conclusions can be spread to the case for coexistence of electromagnetic field and gravitational field by the algebra of octonions. The study claims that Maxwell equation keeps unchanged in the case for coexistence of gravitational field and electromagnetic field, except for the direction of displacement current.

9Quark-like Particles In Dual Electromagnetic Fields
By Harry Schiff
In a classical field model involving extended dual electromagnetic fields quark-like particles are shown to have fractional charges and a confining energy that provides an asymptotically free spherical surface. A suggestion is made for combining a measure of the confining energy with color in QCD.

10Electromagnetic Fields Radiated By A Circular Loop With Arbitrary Current
By Mohamed A. Salem and Christophe Caloz
We present a rigorous approach to compute the electromagnetic fields radiated by a thin circular loop with arbitrary current. We employ a polar transmission representation along with a Kontorovich-Lebedev transform to derive integral representations of the field in the interior and exterior regions of a sphere circumscribing the loop. The convergence of the obtained expressions is discussed and comparisons with full-wave simulation and other methods are shown.

11Primordial Large-scale Electromagnetic Fields From Gravitoelectromagnetic Inflation
By Federico Agustin Membiela and Mauricio Bellini
We investigate the origin and evolution of primordial electric and magnetic fields in the early universe, when the expansion is governed by a cosmological constant $\Lambda_0$. Using the gravitoelectromagnetic inflationary formalism with $A_0=0$, we obtain the power of spectrums for large-scale magnetic fields and the inflaton field fluctuations during inflation. A very important fact is that our formalism is {\em naturally non-conformally invariant}.

12Relativistic Diffusive Motion In Random Electromagnetic Fields
By Z. Haba
We show that the relativistic dynamics in a Gaussian random electromagnetic field can be approximated by the relativistic diffusion of Schay and Dudley. Lorentz invariant dynamics in the proper time leads to the diffusion in the proper time. The dynamics in the laboratory time gives the diffusive transport equation corresponding to the Juettner equilibrium at the inverse temperature \beta^{-1}=mc^{2}. The diffusion constant is expressed by the field strength correlation function (Kubo's formula).

13Penetration Of ELF Currents And Electromagnetic Fields Into The Off-Equatorial E-Region Of The Earth's Ionosphere
By Neeraj Jain, B. Eliasson, A. S. Sharma and K. Papadopoulos
The generation of ELF (of the order of 10 Hz) currents and electromagnetic fields in the off-equatorial E-region (90-120 km) of the Earth's ionosphere and their subsequent penetration into the deeper ionospheric layers is studied theoretically and numerically. These ELF currents and fields are generated by the interaction of an electromagnetic pulse with the E-region at its lower boundary located at 90 km above the Earth's surface. The wave penetration (with a typical wavelength of the order of 10 km) of the generated ELF currents and fields into the deeper ionospheric layers up to 120 km takes place due to the dominance of the Hall conductivity over the Pederson conductivity in the region between 90-120 km and penetration becomes diffusive above 120 km. During night time, the increase in the wave speed due to the reduced conductivities leads to the deeper penetration. As the angle between Earth's magnetic field and horizontal is increased (going away from the equator), the currents and fields penetrate deeper into the ionospheric layers with increased wavelength, the magnitudes of horizontal (east-west) and vertical currents decrease near the boundary and the vertical electric field decreases drastically. The horizontal (east-west) current integrated along vertical is fitted with a current distribution which can be replaced by a line current raised above its actual height by the half width of the current distribution for the purpose of the calculation of its radiation. The maximum of the total east-west current (310 Amps) remains same for various simulation parameters due to the magnetic shielding.

14Electromagnetic Fields And Potentials Generated By Massless Charged Particles
By Francesco Azzurli and Kurt Lechner
We provide for the first time the exact solution of Maxwell's equations for a massless charged particle moving on a generic trajectory at the speed of light. In particular we furnish explicit expressions for the vector potential and the electromagnetic field, which were both previously unknown, finding that they entail different physical features for bounded and unbounded trajectories. With respect to the standard Lienard-Wiechert field the electromagnetic field acquires singular delta-like contributions whose support and dimensionality depend crucially on whether the motion is a) linear, b) accelerated unbounded, c) accelerated bounded. In the first two cases the particle generates a planar shock-wave-like electromagnetic field traveling along a straight line. In the second and third cases the field acquires, in addition, a delta-like contribution supported on a physical singularity-string attached to the particle. For generic accelerated motions a genuine radiation field is also present, represented by a regular principal-part type distribution diverging on the same singularity-string.

15Relativistic Diffusive Motion In Thermal Electromagnetic Fields
By Z. Haba
We discuss relativistic dynamics in a random electromagnetic field which can be considered as a high temperature limit of the quantum electromagnetic field in a heat bath (cavity) moving with a uniform velocity w. We derive diffusion approximation for the particle's dynamics generalizing the diffusion of Schay and Dudley. It is shown that the Juttner distribution is the equilibrium state of the diffusion.

16Discontinuous Electromagnetic Fields Using Huygens Sources For Wavefront Manipulation
By Michael Selvanayagam and George V. Eleftheriades
We introduce the idea of discontinuous electric and magnetic fields at a boundary to design and shape wavefronts in an arbitrary manner. To create this discontinuity in the field we use electric and magnetic currents which act like a Huygens source to radiate the desired wavefront. These currents can be synthesized either by an array of electric and magnetic dipoles or by a combined impedance and admittance surface. A dipole array is an active implementation to impose discontinuous fields while the impedance/admittance surface acts as a passive one. We then expand on our previous work showing how electric and magnetic dipole arrays can be used to cloak an object demonstrating two novel cloaking schemes. We also show how to arbitrarily refract a beam using a set of impedance and admittance surfaces. Refraction using the idea of discontinuous fields is shown to be a more general case of refraction using phase discontinuities.

18DTIC ADA219377: Exposure Of Human Cells To Electromagnetic Fields
By Defense Technical Information Center
This study addressed the following basic question: How does extremely low-level non-ionizing radiation affect human cells, and if there are cellular responses that can be directly related to signal parameters such as frequency, amplitude and time of exposure? The focus of these studies was to identify transcriptional changes in human cultured cells, HL60, which result from exposure of these cells to defined extremely low frequency electromagnetic fields (elf EMFS). Our experiments show a pronounced measurable response observed as transcript increase, with associated changes in protein synthesis. The major findings relative to transcriptional changes are fourfold: (1) transcript changes in human cells correlate with previous findings of transcriptional and translational changes in Drosophila salivary gland cells; (2) the frequency of the signal in the amplitude (with resulting changes in E- and B-fields) in log increments from 0.5 to 500 uV at 60 Hz gives both amplitude and time-dependent windows, and (4) genes not usually expressed in HL-60 are unaffected by exposure to elf EMFs. Changes in the overall protein synthetic pattern have also been observed following exposure of HL60 cells to 60 Hz signals.

19Kink-like Configurations Of Interacting Scalar, Electromagnetic, And Gravitational Fields
By D. S. Kulyabov, Yu. P. Rybakov, G. N. Shikin and L. P. Yuschenko
We have obtained exact kink-like static plane-symmetric solutions to the self-consistent system of electromagnetic, scalar, and gravitational field equations. It was shown that under certain choice of the interaction Lagrangian the solutions are regular and have localized energy. The linearized instability of corresponding solutions was established both for the case of flat space-time and that of interaction with the proper gravitational field.

By CIA Reading Room
Approved For Release 2008/05/21: CIA-RDP85M00364R001903730011-0 September 23, 1983 Office of the Director Central Intelligence Agency Washington, D.C. 20505 Dear Sir: Recently, the Electromagnetic Fields Division of the National Bureau of Standards (NBS) participated in a discussion concerning 'hfgh power microwaves?. NBS has an interest in prodding the proper measurement methods (and the standards to support such) to determine (measure) those electromagnetic quantities associated with 'high power microwaves'. The NBS Electromagnetic Fields Division is currently involved with developing improved methods of measurements for electric and magnetic fields, electromagnetic power density, electromagnetic noise, and antenna fields and patterns. The DOS Electromagnetic Technology Division is involved with developing new and improved measurements of power, impedance, attenuation, etc., the classical electromagnetic quantities. These measurement related efforts could all be of interest to the 'high power microwaves' community. While NBS has an excellent measurements support base for many electromagnetic quantities we are unsure if we have a proper support base for 'high power microwaves. Further, we are unsure if our plans for future NOS efforts are properly concerned with measures for 'high power microwaves'. Accordingly, at the suggestion of personnel in the Naval intelligence Support Centers we are contacting your organization (and others as well) to determine your interests in 'high power microwaves', to determine your measurement needs related to such, to determine if 1BS has available appropriate measurements support to meet these needs, to determine if NOS should provide new measurements support, to determine the priority of providing such support, etc. , :01 We realize that discussion of the above may be of a classif=ied nature. Our staff includes a number of personnel having Secrets= Top Secret and Q clearances and, accordingly, are prepared-for classified discussions should such be necessary- 7 DC1 Approved For Release 2008/05/21 : CIA-RDP85M00364R001903730011-0 `f' ? 23Electromagnetic Neutrino Properties And Neutrino Oscillations In Electromagnetic Fields
By A. M. Egorov, A. E. Lobanov and A. I. Studenikin
The presence of medium and external magnetic field change electromagnetic properties of neutrino. In this article the behavior of neutrino magnetic moment in electromagnetic field is considered. On the basis the Bargmann-Michel-Telegdi equation for the case of models with CP invariance and P nonconservation the new type of neutrino resonances $\nu_L \leftrightarrow \nu_R$ in the electromagnetic field is predicted.

24Petras Theory Of A Spin-1/2 Particle In Electromagnetic And Gravitational Fields
By A. A. Bogush, V. V. Kisel, N. G. Tokarevskaya and V. M. Red'kov
20-component Petras theory of 1/2-spin particle with anomalous magnetic momentum in presence of external electromagnetic and gravitational fields is investigated. The gravitation field is described as space-time curvature. Correctness of the constructed equations in the sense of general relativity and gauge local Lorentz symmetry is proved in detail. Tetrad P-symmetry of the equations is demonstrated. A generally covariant representation of the invariant bilinear form matrix is established and the conserved current of the 20-componen t field is constructed. It is shown that after exclusion of the additional vector-bispinor \Psi_\beta(x) the wave equation for the principal \Psi -bispinor looks as generally covariant Dirac's equation with electromagnetic minimal and Pauli interactions and with an additional gravitational interaction through scalar curvarture R(x)-term. The massless case is analyzed in detail. The conformal non-invariance of the massless equation is demonstrated and new conformally invariant equations for 20-component field are proposed.

25Anisotropic Effects Of Background Fields On Born-Infeld Electromagnetic Waves
By Matias Aiello, Gabriel Bengochea and Rafael Ferraro
We show exact solutions of Born-Infeld theory for electromagnetic plane waves propagating in the presence of static background fields. The non-linear character of Born-Infeld equations generates an interaction between background and wave that changes the speed of propagation and adds a longitudinal component to the wave. As a consequence, in a magnetic background the ray direction differs from the propagation direction --a behavior resembling the one of a wave in an anisotropic medium--. This feature could open up a way to experimental tests of Born-Infeld theory.

26Generalized Electromagnetic Fields Of Dyons In Isotropic Medium
By Jivan Singh, P. S. Bisht and O. P. S. Negi
Strating with the Maxwell's equations in presence of electric and magnetic sources in an isotropic homogenous medium, we have derived the various quantum equations of dyons in consistent and manifest covariant way. It has been shown that the presented theory of dyons remains invariant under the duality transformations in isotropic homogeneous medium.

27Ionisation By Quantised Electromagnetic Fields: The Photoelectric Effect
By Heribert Zenk
In this paper we explain the photoelectric effect in a variant of the standard model of non relativistic quantum electrodynamics, which is in some aspects more closely related to the physical picture, than the one studied in [BKZ]: Now we can apply our results to an electron with more than one bound state and to a larger class of electron-photon interactions. We will specify a situation, where ionisation probability in second order is a weighted sum of single photon terms. Furthermore we will see, that Einstein's equality \[E_{kin}=h\nu-\bigtriangleup E>0\] for the maximal kinetic energy $E_{kin}$ of the electron, energy $h\nu$ of the photon and ionisation gap $\bigtriangleup E$ is the crucial condition for these single photon terms to be nonzero.

28NASA Technical Reports Server (NTRS) 19960025022: Quantization Of Electromagnetic Fields In Cavities
By NASA Technical Reports Server (NTRS)
A quantization procedure for the electromagnetic field in a rectangular cavity with perfect conductor walls is presented, where a decomposition formula of the field plays an essential role. All vector mode functions are obtained by using the decomposition. After expanding the field in terms of the vector mode functions, we get the quantized electromagnetic Hamiltonian.

29Electromagnetic Fields Of Charged And Magnetized Cylindrical Conductors In NUT Space
By B. J. Ahmedov, A. V. Khugaev and N. I. Rakhmatov
We present analytic solutions of Maxwell equations for infinitely long cylindrical conductors with nonvanishing electric charge and currents in the external background spacetime of a line gravitomagnetic monopole. It has been shown that vertical magnetic field arising around cylindrical conducting shell carrying azimuthal current will be modified by the gravitational field of NUT source. We obtain that the purely general relativistic magnetic field which has no any Newtonian analog will be produced around charged gravitomagnetic monopole.

30Polarization Of Bloch Electrons And Berry Phase In The Presence Of Electromagnetic Fields
By J. Goryo and M. Kohmoto
We consider Bloch electrons in the presence of the uniform electromagnetic field in two- and three-dimensions. It is renowned that the quantized Hall effect occurs in such systems. We suppose a weak and homogeneous electric field represented by the time-dependent vector potential which is changing adiabatically. The adiabatic process can be closed in the parameter space and a Berry phase is generated. In the system, one can define the macroscopic electric polarization whose time derivative is equivalent to the quantized Hall current and its conductivity is written by the Chern number. Then, the polarization is induced perpendicular to the electric field. We show that the induced polarization per a cycle in the parameter space is quantized and closely related to the Berry phase as well as the Chern number. The process is adiabatic and the system always remains the ground state, then, the polarization is quite different from the usual dielectric polarization and has some similarity to the spontaneous polarization in the crystalline dielectrics which is also written by the Berry phase. We also point out the relation between our results and the adiabatic pumping.

32Electromagnetic Fields In Matter Revisited
By Rodrigo Medina and J. Stephany
The force density on matter and the kinetic energy-momentum tensor of the electromagnetic field in matter are obtained starting from Maxwell equations and Lorentz force at microscopic level and averaging over a small region of space-time. The macroscopic force density is taken to depend linearly on the average fields and their first derivatives and is shown to be determined by two phenomenological fields which are subsequently identified with the free current density and the polarization density tensor. It is shown that as expected, the average current density is the sum of the free current density and a dipolar contribution and that the average field satisfy the Maxwell equations. The macroscopic energy-momentum tensor of the field is shown to be equal to the standard empty-space energy-momentum tensor built with the macroscopic fields plus a dipolar correction. The density of momentum of the field is confirmed to be given by Minkowski's expression. The energy-momentum tensor of macroscopic matter is equal to the average of the microscopic energy-momentum tensor of matter plus the difference between the average tensor of microscopic fields and the macroscopic tensor of fields.

33Causal Signal Transmission By Quantum Fields. VII: Electromagnetic Interaction Of Distinguishable Devices And The Optical Equivalence Theorem
By L. I. Plimak and S. T. Stenholm
Generalised phase-space techniques for electromagnetic interactions beyond the rotating wave approximation [L.P. and S.S., arXiv:1104.3825 (2011)] is applied to interactions of distinguishable devices. The paper is built around the concept of "doing quantum electrodynamics while thinking classically," which is a generalisation of Sudarshan's renowned optical equivalence theorem [E.C.G. Sudarshan, Phys. Rev. Lett. 10, 277 (1963)] to the interacting electromagnetic field. This concept allows one to reduce inherently quantum problems to semiclassical considerations.

34Electromagnetic Fields In Kerr-Shild Space-Times
By Vladimir V. Kassandrov
Making use of twistor structures and the Kerr theorem for shear-free null geodesic congruences, an infinite family of electromagnetic fields satisfying the homogeneous Maxwell equations in flat Minkowski and the associated curved Kerr-Schild backgrounds is obtained for any such congruence in a purely algebraic way. Simple examples of invariant axisymmetric Maxwell fields are presented.

37Dynamical Equations And Transport Coefficients For The Metals At High Pulse Electromagnetic Fields
By N. B. Volkov, E. A. Chingina and A. P. Yalovets
We offer a metal model suitable for the description of fast electrophysical processes in conductors under influence of powerful electronic and laser radiation of femto- and picosecond duration, and also high-voltage electromagnetic pulses with picosecond front and duration less than 1 ns. The obtained dynamic equations for metal in approximation of one quasineutral liquid are in agreement with the equations received by other authors formerly. New wide-range expressions for the electronic conduction in strong electromagnetic fields are obtained and analyzed.

38Hp-finite-elements For Simulating Electromagnetic Fields In Optical Devices With Rough Textures
By S. Burger, P. Gutsche, M. Hammerschmidt, S. Herrmann, J. Pomplun, F. Schmidt, B. Wohlfeil and L. Zschiedrich
The finite-element method is a preferred numerical method when electromagnetic fields at high accuracy are to be computed in nano-optics design. Here, we demonstrate a finite-element method using hp-adaptivity on tetrahedral meshes for computation of electromagnetic fields in a device with rough textures. The method allows for efficient computations on meshes with strong variations in element sizes. This enables to use precise geometry resolution of the rough textures. Convergence to highly accurate results is observed.

39Explicit High-order Symplectic Integrators For Charged Particles In General Electromagnetic Fields
By Molei Tao
This article considers non-relativistic charged particle dynamics in both static and non-static electromagnetic fields, which are governed by nonseparable, possibly time-dependent Hamiltonians. For the first time, explicit symplectic integrators of arbitrary high-orders are constructed for accurate and efficient simulations of such mechanical systems. Performances superior to the standard non-symplectic method of Runge-Kutta are demonstrated on two examples: the first is on the confined motion of a particle in a static toroidal magnetic field used in tokamak; the second is on how time-periodic perturbations to a magnetic field inject energy into a particle via parametric resonance at a specific frequency.

42Dynamical Constants For Electromagnetic Fields With Elliptic-cylindrical Symmetry
By B. M. Rodríguez-Lara and R. Jáuregui
Taking into account the characteristics of a free scalar field in elliptic coordinates, a new dynamical variable is found for the free electromagnetic field. The conservation law associated to this variable cannot be obtained by direct application of standard Noether theorem since the symmetry generator is of second order. Consequences on the expected mechanical behavior of an atomic system interacting with electromagnetic waves exhibiting such a symmetry are also discussed.

43Energy Spectra From Electromagnetic Fields Generated By Ultra-relativistic Charged Bunches In A Perfectly Conducting Cylindrical Beam Pipe
By Alison C Hale and Robin W Tucker
The spectrum of electromagnetic fields satisfying perfectly conducting boundary conditions in a segment of a straight beam pipe with a circular cross-section is discussed as a function of various source models. These include charged bunches that move along the axis of the pipe with constant speed for which an exact solution to the initial-boundary value problem for Maxwell's equations in the beam pipe is derived. In the ultra-relativistic limit all longitudinal components of the fields tend to zero and the spectral content of the transverse fields and average total electromagnetic energy crossing any section of the beam pipe are directly related to the properties of the ultra-relativistic source. It is shown that for axially symmetric ultra-relativistic bunches interference effects occur that show a striking resemblance to those that occur due to CSR in cyclic machines despite the fact that in this limit the source is no longer accelerating. The results offer an analytic description showing how such enhanced spectral behaviour depends on the geometry of the source and the details of the stochastic distribution of structure within the source. They offer a viable experimental means for inferring properties of the longitudinal charge distribution of bunches with micro-structure in ultra-relativistic motion in straight segments of a beam pipe from observation of the associated electromagnetic energy spectra. They are also of relevance to design criteria where the coherence effects of such fields play a significant role.

44DTIC ADP013929: Calculation Of Near-Zone Electromagnetic Fields Scattered By Complex Shape Airborne Objects And Estimation Of Their Angular Coordinates By Onboard Antenna Systems
By Defense Technical Information Center
The technique of calculation of near-zone electromagnetic fields scattered by complex shape airborne objects is present. It is shown that the direction line defined by a direction finder differs from true one and depends on geometry of the object, its electrical sizes and also on mutual location of the transmitting antenna, object and receiving antenna. The results of numerical calculations for the object such as "airplane' are represented. Calculation was carried out in a centimeter band, separately in a plane of course and pitches one, radiation - monochromatic. The angle of object elevation is constant and it is equal to three degrees.

Compared to the recently implemented scheme employing ultracold $^{87}$Rb atoms [B{\"o}hi \textit{et al.}, Appl. Phys. Lett. \textbf{97}, 051101 (2010)], the technique based on molecules offers a 100-fold higher sensitivity, the possibility to measure both the electric and magnetic field components, and a probe of a wide range of frequencies from the dc limit to the THz regime.

47DTIC ADA071476: A Physiological And Biochemical Study Of The Effects Of Extremely Low Frequency Electromagnetic Fields
By Defense Technical Information Center
Exposure of the myxomycete Physarum polycephalum to either continuous wave (75 Hz) or frequency modulated wave (76 Hz) electromagnetic (EMF) fields (0.1G to 2.0 G and 0.035 V/m to 0.7 V/m) lengthens the mitotic cycle and depresses the respiration rate. Once induced, these effects persist indefinitely without increasing or decreasing in magnitude beyond that due to normal variability of the organism. Similar effects are observed when either individual electric fields (0.7 V/m) or magnetic fields (2.0 G) are applied, however the magnitude of the response is less than that observed with simultaneous fields. The individual field effects appear to be additive for respiration but not for nuclear division rate. For fields applied simultaneously at levels below 0.14 V/ m and 0.4 G the response was independent of field intensity. No threshold was observed for simultaneously applied electric and magnetic fields; however, indirect evidence is presented that suggests either the electric or magnetic field is below threshold at levels of 0.14 V/m and 0.4 G respectively. Frequency modulation of the fields seems to have no major effect on the response induced in P. polycephalum. Results of additional experiments re presented that are designed to rule out certain non-EMF factors as being responsible for the biological changes.

49Electromagnetic Fields With Electric And Chiral Magnetic Conductivities In Heavy Ion Collisions
By Hui Li, Xin-li Sheng and Qun Wang
We derive analytic formula for electric and magnetic fields produced by a moving charged particle in a conducting medium with the electric conductivity $\sigma$ and the chiral magnetic conductivity $\sigma_{\chi}$. We use the Green function method and assume that $\sigma_{\chi}$ is much smaller than $\sigma$. The compact algebraic expressions for electric and magnetic fields without any integrals are obtained. They recover the Lienard-Wiechert formula at vanishing conductivities. Exact numerical solutions are also found for any values of $\sigma$ and $\sigma_{\chi}$ and are compared to analytic results. Both numerical and analytic results agree very well for the scale of high energy heavy ion collisions. The space-time profiles of electromagnetic fields in non-central Au+Au collisions have been calculated based on these analytic formula as well as exact numerical solutions.
