"We Living By Sea Sand" was a poem written by Dylan Thomas (1914-1953). TRADITIONAL POETRY NOW presents this special reading by fellow poet Joseph A Pasquale (audio recording) for education purposes.  DYLAN THOMAS is famous for his acutely lyrical and emotional poetry, as well as his turbulent personal life. The originality of his work makes categorization difficult. In his life he avoided becoming involved with literary groups or movements, and unlike other prominent writers of the 1930s—such as W.H. Auden and Stephen Spender, for example—he had little use for socialistic ideas in his art. Poetry reading by Joe Pasquale. Joseph A Pasquale is an American poet and author who writes in a variety of literary genres, including poetry, memoir, and literary fiction. He has written over 65 books of prose, including poetry. He was born in Worcester, MA and studied the art of writing literary fiction under bestselling-author, Ken Eulo. The poet used to visit the "Old Ironsides" boat when he was a child in Massachusetts and this poem held special meaning for him. In early 2024, Pasquale finished writing, editing and revising a new novel, "Upon them, A Childhood Cast,” also known as “Shrewsbury Street.” The novel is over 800 - 1000 pages. There are accompanying writings outside of the book spanning about 500+ pages (untyped in handwriting). This novel either completes, or nearly completes Pasquale's body of prose novel literary works. Joe A Pasquale is the author of The LOVE JUNKY series spanning over 3000 pages (unpublished). Over 8 novels in the series including his unpublished 700 page LA novel. Pasquale is the creator of Daily Terrors TV and Peter S Fogg, a pen name he writes under and has published books (under the pen name). Pasquale created the Confession Booth Terrors and Blood Diaries and Confessions of Preacher Aaron stories.   ​ In 2016, 2018, 2020 and 2023 and 2024 he also completed various new Horse Racing Name Poetry Book Collections. ​ Joseph A Pasquale's poetry collection was recently added to the national archive in the National Horse Racing Hall of Fame in Saratoga Springs, New York. All horses ran the same day on this poem constructed the same day as the races.  Pasquale was published in the Hollywood hardback, "Literary (and other) Celebrity Doodles" Volume II. The British historian, George W. Cox writes that the "whole duration of the Athenian empire extends over little more than two generations." This confederation of Greek city states with Athens at its head was an attempt to present a unified front to the Persian Empire. But ultimately, the strife between democratic and oligarchic factions within each polis, combined with the tangle of alliances between the various city states, led to the ruinous and protracted Peloponnesian War. In this short work, Cox describes the battles on land and sea, and such personalities as the Athenian general, Nikias, his Spartan counterpart, Agis, and, above all, unprincipled, charismatic Alcibiades.
