Cloud computing is a computer platform that enables users to pool information such as infrastructure, programs, services, and workflows. The cloud is a virtual pool of computational resources. It makes available computer resources in a group to consumers via the network. Cloud computing, as a new computer architecture, intends to openly share a memory, processing, and applications across a large number of clients. Current cloud computing systems have significant limitations in terms of ensuring clients' information confidentially. Because clients' sensitive information is transported in plaintext form to distant workstations controlled and maintained by third-party telecommunications companies, the danger of unauthorized exposure of clients' confidential documents by telecommunications companies is rather significant. A number of methods exist for securing clients' information against external intruders. This paper elaborates on the most recent situation in the investigations of various security protocols for data protection in cloud-based infrastructures.

Efficient scheduling algorithms are necessary in the cloud paradigm to optimize service provision to clients while minimizing time duration, energy consumption, and violations of service level agreements (SLAs). Disregarding task appropriateness in resource scheduling can have a detrimental effect on the quality of service provided by cloud providers. Moreover, the utilization of resources in an ineffective manner will necessitate a substantial expenditure of energy to execute activities, leading to prolonged processing duration that adversely affect the temporal duration. Many research projects have focused on employment scheduling problems, and the algorithms used in these studies have offered answers that were deemed nearly flawless. This study presents a chaos bird swarm algorithm (Chaos BSA) approach that use machine learning to consider task priority while allocating tasks to the cloud platform. The method calculates the priorities of task virtual machines and incorporates these values into the scheduler. The scheduler will select tasks that align with the specified priorities and are compatible with the virtual machines. The implementation of the system utilized the openstack cloud platform and the cloudsim tool. The results and comparison with the baseline approach genetic algorithm (GA), ant colony optimization (ACO), and particle swarm optimization (PSO) clearly demonstrate that our Chaos BSA outperforms them by 18% in terms of efficiency.

Cloud is a growing trend now a days. It is used in almost all growing sectors. It also finds its application in banking sector. Clouds In banking sector is used to store the account information of the bank customers. Using clouds puts the security of the data in a fix. Data integrity is not guaranteed. Online transactions are not yet safe to be done. We propose a system that contains Clouds and public auditing scheme which provides data integrity check by a Third Party auditor (TPA). The TPA is enabled to perform audits for multiple user simultaneously. Along with the alpha numeric passwords we enable the user to set an image password which uses visual cryptography as its underlying mechanism. K-N sharing algorithm is use in this. This effectively increases the security by reducing the risk password hacking. Our system also provides an additional feature of de-duplication in order to avoid duplications of files stored at the main server. This saves the memory usage as well as the bandwidth. Thus our system includes the features of cloud computing with public auditing using TPA, Visual Cryptography, and de-duplication.

An approach has been presented in this paper in order to generate a secure environment on internet Based Virtual Computing platform and also to reduce energy consumption in green cloud computing. The proposed approach constantly checks the accuracy of stored data by means of a central control service inside the network environment and also checks system security through isolating single virtual machines using a common virtual environment. This approach has been simulated on two types of Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) Quick EMUlator (Qemu), HVM (Hardware Virtual Machine) Xen and outputs of the simulation in VMInsight show that when service is getting singly used, the overhead of its performance will be increased. As a secure system, the proposed approach is able to recognize malicious behaviors and assure service security by means of operational integrity measurement. Moreover, the rate of system efficiency has been evaluated according to the amount of energy consumption on five applications (Defragmentation, Compression, Linux Boot Decompression and Kernel Boot). Therefore, this has been resulted that to secure multi-tenant environment, managers and supervisors should independently install a security monitoring system for each Virtual Machines (VMs) which will come up to have the management heavy workload of. There are few studies on factors influencing cloud computing adoption in higher education institutions. However, there are lacks of understanding of the cloud computing adoption issues in the university. The main objective of this study is to investigate factors influencing cloud computing adoption in a higher education institution. The research method involved using qualitative interviewing with relevant stakeholders and case study at one public university in Malaysia. The analysis was done by using Atlat.ti. There are eighteen factors that have been coded into three main categories of Technological, Organizational and Environmental. These are among factors to influence the decision of cloud computing adoption for a public university. The first category (Technological) consists of nine factors; (i) relative advantage, (ii) cost reduction, (iii) ease of use, (iv) compatibility, (v) operational requirement, (vi) security, (vii) sustainability, (viii) trialability and (ix) complexity, The second category (organizational) consists of four factors; (i) infrastructure readiness, (ii) top management, (iii) knowledge and IT skillset and (iv) financial. The third category (environmental) consists of five factors; (i) Cloud Service Provider, (ii) Geographical, (iii) Data Privacy, (iv) Guideline and Policy, (v) Service Level Agreement (SLA). The result may provide a reference for the adoption of cloud computing in the area of mobile learning or mobile computing. Future work involves conducting similar studies at other case studies including public and private universities in Malaysia.

The collective resources of the datacenter, including both hardware and software, can be available publicly, being then termed a public cloud, the resources being provided in a virtual mode to the clients who pay according to the resources they employ. Examples of public companies providing these resources include Amazon, Google, and Joyent. The computational workload is shifted to the provider, which also implements required hardware and software upgrades over time. A virtual environment is created in the cloud corresponding to the computational and data storage needs of the user via the internet. It compares the life cycle costs of WCCNs utilizing tablet computers over a mixed network of thin clients and desktop computers. Currently, the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES) program will install both thin clients and desktops on board new and old DDGs to implement the unclassified portion of its network. The main cost benefits of tablets will be realized through energy savings and an increase in productivity. The net present value of tablets is expected to be considerably better than the current CANES configuration with the initial investment required for tablets breaking-even in five years if each sailor saves 22 seconds a day by having a tablet. Alternatively, the tablet configuration also breaks even in less than 6 years just considering operational costs alone. Sensitivity analysis on the cost of deferent types of tablet devices and the range of different productivity gains shows very limited downside from investing in tablets compared to considerable upside (depending on the productivity gains achieved in practice).

Abstract Noncontact electrocardiogram (ECG) measurement technique has gained popularity these days owing to its noninvasive features and convenience in daily life use. This paper presents mobile cloud computing for a healthcare system where a noncontact ECG measurement method is employed to capture biomedical signals from users. Healthcare service is provided to continuously collect biomedical signals from multiple locations. To observe and analyze the ECG signals in real time, a mobile device is used as a mobile monitoring terminal. In addition, a personalized healthcare assistant is installed on the mobile device; several healthcare features such as health status summaries, medication QR code scanning, and reminders are integrated into the mobile application. Health data are being synchronized into the healthcare cloud computing service (Web server system and Web server dataset) to ensure a seamless healthcare monitoring system and anytime and anywhere coverage of network connection is available. Together with a Web page application, medical data are easily accessed by medical professionals or family members. Web page performance evaluation was conducted to ensure minimal Web server latency. The system demonstrates better availability of off-site and up-to-the-minute patient data, which can help detect health problems early and keep elderly patients out of the emergency room, thus providing a better and more comprehensive healthcare cloud computing service.

A crucial element in detecting unusual network system behavior is the network intrusion detection system (NIDS), which also helps to stop network attacks from happening. Despite the fact that a great deal of machine learning techniques has been used in intrusion detection, current solutions still struggle to provide accurate classification results. Furthermore, when dealing with imbalanced multi-category traffic data, a single classifier may not be able to produce a superior. Particularly, internet of things (IoT) gadgets is now a commonplace aspect of life. On the other hand, some problems are becoming worse and lack clear remedies. Convergence, communication speed, and security between various IoT devices are among the primary concerns. In order to achieve this goal, an enhanced artificial bee colony technique utilizing binary search equations and neural networks—known as the (BABCN) algorithm for intrusion detection in terms of convergence and communication speed—is presented in this study. The artificial bee is improved by the depth-first search framework and binary search equations upon which the BABCN method is based. The suggested approach has a good ability to detect intrusions in the network and enhances categorization, according to the findings obtained by using the NSL-KDD dataset.

This thesis researches cloud computing workload characteristics and synthetic workload generation. A heuristic presented in the work guides the process of workload trace characterization and synthetic workload generation. Analysis of a cloud trace provides insight into client request behaviors and statistical parameters. A versatile workload generation tool creates client connections, controls request rates, defines number of jobs, produces tasks within each job, and manages task durations. The test system consists of multiple clients creating workloads and a server receiving request, all contained within a virtual machine environment. Statistical analysis verifies the synthetic workload experimental results are consistent with real workload behaviors and characteristics.

Now a days the work is being done by hiring the space and resources from the cloud providers in order to do work effectively and less costly. This paper describes the cloud, its challenges, evolution, attacks along with the approaches required to handle data on cloud. The practice of using a network of remote servers hosted on the Internet to store, manage, and process data, rather than a local server or a personal computer. The need of this review paper is to provide the awareness of the current emerging technology which saves the cost of users.

Cloud computing is the revolution in current generation IT enterprise displaces database and application software to the large data centers for IT services. In this paper, we designed and simulated an adaptable and efficient scheme to guarantee the correctness of user data stored in the cloud and also with some prominent features. Homomorphic token is used for distributed verification of erasure–coded data. By using this scheme, we can identify misbehaving servers. In spite of past works, our scheme supports effective and secure dynamic operations on data blocks such as data insertion, deletion and modification. In contrast to traditional solutions, where the IT services are under proper physical, logical and personnel controls, cloud computing moves the application software and databases to the large data centers, where the data management and services may not be absolutely truthful. This effective security and performance analysis describes that the proposed scheme is extremely flexible against malicious data modification, convoluted failures and server clouding attacks.
