Baltovich spent 8 years in prison before the Ontario Court of Appeal granted him bail on ?March 31, 2000.  On  December 2, 2004 the court set aside Baltovich's conviction and ordered a new trial. On April 22, 2008. Crown chose to call no evidence at the retrial and Robert Baltovich was exonerated and freed. A new, dire IPCC report on the state of the climate has many people feeling overwhelmed, but there are things you can do. Barry Walker of Efficiency Nova Scotia shares some ideas for ways you can fight climate change at home.

The latest report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), a UN-sponsored body that periodically releases a synthesis of current climate science, doesn't reveal anything we didn't already know or experience. The Earth is hotter than it's ever been. Sea levels are rising and causing more extreme weather events. The report is a big deal for making the one conclusion no one can ever question again: climate change is human-caused and is having a tremendous impact. That impact isn't just on our planet but on us humans: our health, safety and well-being are at stake. The report tells us what actions we can take to protect ourselves. So what do governments, industries and individual citizens need to do?

While it's clear that climate change hurts the health of our environment, we don't always think about how it affects our health. NFTs are all the rage in the cryptocurrency world these days. Many artists, digital creators, and even marine organizations are making money using NFTs. However, the way NFTs are processed could have implications for increasing climate change.NFTs use the Eurythreum cryptocurrency, which is controlled by users (called miners) having to solve complex puzzles to gain tokens. This research will extend on findings from a previous correlational study that examined associations between belief in right- and left-wing climate change conspiracy theories and intentions to engage in sustainability behaviours. In this experimental study, we aim to assess differences in a range of outcomes (e.g., environmental concern, normative and non-normative pro-environmental behaviours, pro-environmental policy support) after exposure to right- and left-wing climate change conspiracy videos.

Watching climate change impacts such as major hurricanes, floods, droughts, wildfires, and ice sheets melting can be overwhelming for anyone, but it's time to act to fight climate change on every level ranging from individual actions to voting at the highest level.
