This manual is intended to accompany a software system for the Apple II microcomputer that is designed to aid local districts in completing vocational education enrollment claims and Vocational Education Data System (VEDS) reports. Part I, Introduction, gives a brief overview of the Microcomputer Vocational Education Reporting System (MICRO-VERS), makes some suggestions regarding time schedules, and describes the reports that the system will help to prepare. Part II, System Requirements, is a description of the hardware that is required to operate the microcomputer under MICRO-VERS version 3.1. Some suggested sources for course and student data are also presented. Part III, Operator's Handbook, describes each of the major steps in creating and editing the MICRO-VERS files and finally printing the required reports. Part IV, MICRO-VERS Tutorial, is intended for new users of the software package. It presents sample data similar to that encountered by the local education agency. These examples allow data entry operators to practice and familiarize themselves with the system. Part V contains appendixes. MICRO-VERS information provided includes lists of the program disk and printer disk programs, tutorial data, sample forms, and sample printouts. This manual is designed for use with the Apple II microcomputer and software packages for the Microcomputer Vocational Education Reporting System 1.0 (MICRO-VERS). It is intended to aid local agencies in building and managing a database of information required by the State Board for reporting vocational program enrollment. An introduction describes the reimbursement claiming and reporting process. Part 2 contains a timetable depicting an anticipated sequence for compiling program and enrollment data and reporting them to the State Board. Part 3 is an introduction to the microcomputer. It covers MICRO-VERS 1.0 system hardware, general functions, disk handling, starting of the MICRO-VERS system, and initialization of a new disk. Parts 4 through 6 discuss the three types of necessary data--vocational program data, student data, and course enrollment data. Variable descriptions are provided, and data entry procedures for the various data are described. Part 7 explains entering program completion status data. Part 8 deals with displaying the Reimbursement Claims Report and Parts III, IV, and V of the Vocational Education Data System Report. Procedures for auditing vocational education enrollment and expenditures are explained in part 9. Appendixes include sample forms, a glossary, a list of resources, and supplemental listing programs. This is a manual / user's guide for an Orange Micro ImageBuffer memory buffer upgrade card for an Apple ImageWriter II dot matrix printer. What is great is that this manual came with an original registration card and an addendum ! This addendum is dated January of 1986 and is handy because it corrects a few areas of the manual. I've attached the addendum to the front cover of this scan. The registration card is on the last page. I believe this card was designed primarily for Apple II users who used the ImageWriter II printer and needed more memory. The memory helped free up the computer while the document was being printed. Although this will also work on the printer when it's connected to the Mac, it may be less useful. This manual has a revision date of "Rev. 1/86" on the back, along with a number of 75MAN00041.
