In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of systematic reviews and meta-analyses (SRs/MAs) evaluating the effectiveness of acupuncture as an intervention for treating pediatric Tourette syndrome (TS) with coprolalia. These studies have shown improved treatment outcomes. However, there is still a lack of evidence to support whether acupuncture can be used as a complementary or alternative therapy for pediatric TS with coprolalia, which poses a challenge for clinical practitioners. Therefore, the aim of this study is to conduct a re-evaluation of published SRs/MAs on acupuncture for the treatment of pediatric TS with coprolalia, with a focus on assessing the methodological quality, reporting quality, and evidence grading of these studies. The goal is to provide some reference for clinical decision-making.
