This is an old video, that disappeared, when SwiSSy managed Youtube to have my first and biggest channel deleted, and which happened in union with the SwiSS Nazi Police's two extensive house searches, during which they stole all my hard discs, dvd's, usb sticks, computers, cameras and video scripts; SwiSSyland is the essence of organised crime. I just managed to retrieve one or two of the hundreds of lost videos. C-SPAN visited the living history camp of the 517th Parachute Regimental Combat Team to learn about the experiences of U.S. Army soldiers in the Maritime Alps during World War II. The 517th jumped into southern France as part of the August 15, 1944 Operation Dragoon. This camp was part of the annual Army Heritage Days in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. His Grandfather was also an Airline pilot as well as his father. Howie started flying at age 13 in gliders and soloed on his 14th Birthday. He then started flying Powered and soloed at 16. He later became a tow pilot and continued to fly gliders and then he himself started flying with the airlines. Howie has flown all over the world and not just for the Airlines but also in gliders. This 1949 vintage educational film "Life in Mountains" is about life in the Alps, in Switzerland. The film follows the Villar family as they farm the fields and tend to livestock herds. The family's daily chores are contrasted as they adjust to changing seasons. Coronet created 16 mm shorts from the 1940s to the 1980s for use in the classroom and in public libraries in order to provide students with in depth learning. This film was created in collaboration with Clyde F. Kohn; Associate Professor of Geography at Northwestern University (:18). Kohn was also a well-known geographer and author. The camera view opens up on snow traced mountain slopes (:35). A small village sits nestled in the mountains (:42). The Alps are highlighted on a map of Switzerland (1:05). The narrator mentions nearly half of Switzerland's population had settled in the mountains (1:14). A woman wearing traditional clothing wanders down a narrow alleyway in the small village (1:26). The village church and clock tower follow (1:34). The Swiss boarding school; Maison D'ecole, appears in the heart of the Bernese Alps (1:43). Locals wander into small shops (1:55). Goods here have been manufactured in major cities of Switzerland and other countries. Two Swiss females and a male wander up a dirt road running alongside the village (2:01). The narrator guides viewers to a farmhouse owned by the Villars family on the outskirts of the mountain region (2:11). A close shot notes a steep roof constructed for heavy snow falls (2:20). Logs are stacked outside of the home for fuel (2:36). A mother and daughter named Annette, of the Villars family step from the home (2:45). The pair sift through their vegetable garden (3:05) as snow peaked mountains rise in the background. Lush forests ride up the mountain slope (3:22). Swiss famers cut hay on the green meadows using hand tools (3:29). Annette's brother Paul sits with a small goat herd (3:52). A cattle herd grazes on the high slopes (4:30). The father of the family moves up the slope (4:35). He heads for the cheese house where he makes the family cheese (4:56). The narrator mentions the hut has been made with stone in order to keep the cheese house cool. The milk is heated in a big kettle (5:10). He utilizes a cheese cloth in order to separate the whey (5:31). The curds are pressed into a wooden mold (5:40). Stones are stacked atop the lid in order to squeeze out the remaining whey (5:45). The following morning (5:54) the round of Swiss cheese is pictured ready for the curing house (6:08). These cheeses will age for months. Annette and her mother dry beans in the autumn (6:32). The pair search for the father and brother Paul in the grounds below (6:47). The cattle herd is driven down from the mountain (6:54) at the close of summer. The mother of the home works to churn butter (7:19). Paul sifts through dirt for the remaining harvest of potatoes (7:32). Fire wood is chopped as they prepare for winter (7:43). Many of the residences here will be isolated by heavy snows in the coming months. The valleys and slopes appear at the close of autumn (8:04) as well as a few weeks later as the first snow falls (8:11). The small village appears under a blanket of snow (8:18). The home of the Villars family (8:24) is revisited to display winter's daily activates. Paul and Annette head for school (8:33). Youth slide down a snowy slope (8:51). Paul rides his skis down the slope (9:03). Tourists arrive in Switzerland for its wondrous ski slopes (9:10). The sun sets on the home of the Villars (9:21). A person’s concerns about climate change do not necessarily translate into corresponding actions. In this context, it has been suggested that instilling a sense of urgency leads to more corresponding pro-environmental action (e.g., Brügger et al., 2015; Fesenfeld & Rinscheid, 2021). Moreover it is not only perceived urgency that appears to affect climate change-related beliefs, thoughts, or actions. Climate change is typically framed in and perceived in a temporal context (e.g., Ho, 2021; Kim & Ahn, 2019; Ma et al., 2022; McMichael & Katonivualiku, 2020; Pahl et al., 2014). That is, perceptions and actions related to climate change have been connected to temporal perception. Here, we aim at investigating the relationshipt between climate change anxiety and temporal estimations of changes in the mountain landscape of the Alps in the German population. Participants are presented with pairs of pictures that show the same location in the Alps with different durations of time in between the pictures of a pair and they are asked to estimate the number of years between the two pictures. Furthermore, we assess their climate change related anxiety via the Climate Anxiety Scale (CAS; Clayton & Karazsia, 2010; Wullenkord et al., 2021).

This article is from Scientific Reports , volume 3 . Abstract Severe floods triggered by intense precipitation are among the most destructive natural hazards in Alpine environments, frequently causing large financial and societal damage. Potential enhanced flood occurrence due to global climate change would thus increase threat to settlements, infrastructure, and human lives in the affected regions. Yet, projections of intense precipitation exhibit major uncertainties and robust reconstructions of Alpine floods are limited to the instrumental and historical period. Here we present a 2500-year long flood reconstruction for the European Alps, based on dated sedimentary flood deposits from ten lakes in Switzerland. We show that periods with high flood frequency coincide with cool summer temperatures. This wet-cold synchronism suggests enhanced flood occurrence to be triggered by latitudinal shifts of Atlantic and Mediterranean storm tracks. This paleoclimatic perspective reveals natural analogues for varying climate conditions, and thus can contribute to a better understanding and improved projections of weather extremes under climate change.

This is a simple adapter to use Micro Switch keycaps (the chunky ones with the square-ish cut-out) with Alps key switches. Printed with my Ender 3 using PLA they are a perfect fit on both sides.

I have a Dell AT101W and I bought a set of blank white XDA PBT keycaps from KPrepublic Store: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33051205362.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.50714c4dsuk5d2 The space bar had the same cherry mounts on the space bar as the tao hai kit. I had a set of the original stabiliser stems printed and had a few issues: - The bump in the mouth of the stem was causing issues, so I shaved it off. - The stem was too deep and allowed too much rotational slop when installed. The slop I fixed by gluing plastic spacers in the back of the mouth of the adapter. This is a remixed file with those issues fixed, but I don't have a 3D printer so I can't verify that it's 100% fixed but if you're installing these keycaps on an AT101W I would suggest this as a better starting point at least.

I broke some stabiliser bottom hooks of my Apple AEK II keyboard, so I designed these as a replacement.
